I worked with Rebecca after I had shoulder surgery. After 8 weeks in a sling I had pretty bad muscle deterioration and a frozen shoulder. I was doing physical therapy and my therapist recommended some additional massage and trigger point work for the muscles in my shoulder and back. Rebecca became a very important part of my rehab team. She was awesome, she took the time to understand my situation, educate me, and come up with a comprehensive plan for the work we did. I saw incredible improvement after starting to work with her. She was able to greatly accelerate my rehab and I continued to work with her over a period of a year while I was building strength and getting back to 100%. Her work was absolutely critical to my overall recovery! I continue to work with Rebecca to. She has become a regular part of my health and fitness routine. I highly recommend her.

I developed symptoms of frozen shoulder a few years ago resulting from a golf injury. I thought it might heal itself if I stopped playing the game – it didn’t. I thought conventional medicine was the solution – it wasn’t. After enduring cortisone shots and painful physical therapy, I gave up. Then I met Rebecca. Rebecca is a consummate professional with an approach that says«I care about your condition and will do my best to help you and if I can’t solve your issue I will help you find another practitioner that can.» Rebecca started by listening to me explain my situation and offered common sense suggestions on lifestyle changes that could help. Simple things I should have figured out by myself like«don’t carry a heavy briefcase with that arm.» The first massage treatment from Rebecca felt like a miracle happened with much improved range of motion and less pain. After a couple more sessions I felt even better – but not perfect, so Rebecca referred me to a colleague that provides acupuncture treatment. A few acupuncture treatments did the trick and now I am back swinging golf clubs and no longer need Advil or Aleve to sleep. Before I met Rebecca I was skeptical about massage providing any lasting benefits and could not imagine having acupuncture. Rebecca’s deep knowledge, calm manner and professionalism changed all that. I now get regular maintenance massage treatments from Rebecca and have complete, pain free, use of my arm. I highly recommend seeing Rebecca for whatever pain or discomfort issues you are experiencing.

I cannot say enough good things about Rebecca! She really worked with my husband and me to make our prenatal massage something so special! After missing an appointment with us last week,(it was a mistake — she had written it down one place and not another — it was a goof — i totally get these things happen) Rebecca offered to reschedule for the following week(this week) which was the week of Christmas. We don’t celebrate the holiday so we were flexible, but she suggested meeting with us on Tuesday, Christmas Eve. at 6pm. I only made sure this was okay with her a million times and she insisted it was fine, explaining she was celebrating the holiday with her family who was local on Wednesday(actual Christmas). I have had a pretty miserable 3rd trimester. I cannot get comfortable. in any position. at any time. Rebecca spent extra time on areas that I was concerned about and was totally in tune to my body and what it needed. I actually think I fell asleep on the massage table because I was so relaxed and my body was so loose and limp. The best part of the prenatal massage service Rebecca provides is for the last 20 minutes of the session, she brings your partner in the room(which is low lit and has soothing music on) so she can teach him/her techniques that are helpful logistically about the pain you are experiencing. Honestly, my husband has been so much better at massage since our session 2 days ago. I felt the difference immediately. I wake up with terrible back pain several times during the night. Pre– Rebeccah massage session, I cry out desperately :“HUSBAND! Please!!! put your hand on my back so my back feels better!” Now, because of what Rebecca taught us, I’m able to confidently ask him to press on my sacrum, which gives my lower back immediate relief. Rebecca handed us some literature about the power of touch and the reason my body was so miserably crying out for help during pregnancy. Rebecca was extremely accomodating to our needs. She spent some extra time with us which she certainly did not have to do. I would certainly give her a glowing recommendation and refer anyone looking for an awesome, prenatal massage to go and see her! It is worth the money!!!

I have had the pleasure of getting work done by Rebecca and she is truly an amazing therapist. She is intuitive and extremely knowledgeable in her approach to body work. I felt comfortable knowing that I was in such capable and healing hands. Not only is Rebecca professional, but she has an undeniably warm presence that puts you at ease when you working with her. I highly recommend her!

I saw Rebecca for a very last minute prenatal massage and it was divine. I had been suffering from a sore back in pregnancy and after reading about her reviews, I decided to go for it. I’m so glad I did! She really took the time to explore where the source of my back pain and tension was coming from and her approach is very much mind/body. I had never had a masseuse ask me about intention at the beginning of the massage and to notice where I help tension in my body. These are basic principles of a yoga practice but I found it so lovely and refreshing to see them incorporated into massage. I hope to find my way back to Rebecca for another massage very soon!

Rebecca is a wonderful massage therapist. She is patient, pleasant and very knowledgable. Her massage space is very peaceful, a special haven away from the stress and chaos of life. Treat yourself to a treatment, you will not be disappointed.

A really superb professional. I came to Rebecca as someone who hadn’t had much experience with massage, but was dealing with some chronic and sports-oriented pain. She took the time to really talk with me about what was happening with the particular injuries, how I moved(and didn’t move) my body during the work-day, while exercising, etc, and discussed with me several ways to proceed. I felt very much that I was in partnership with her, as well as feeling confident that I was in the hands of both a technically highly competent, as well as very sensitive and attuned, therapist and healer. Gifted, highly skilled, friendly, professional, and highly recommended.

Very disappointed. The prices and package deals are constantly changed. Does not keep her word. The prices are not even on the website anymore. I went a few times and stopped. I don’t recommend this place/

I can not possibly say enough about this woman. When my General Practitioner told me my shoulder injury was bad enough I needed to take 8 weeks off from yoga and needed 6 weeks of Massage Therapy… I cried. My favorite thing, that keeps me sane, was being taken away and I was sure there would be no way I could afford weekly massages from anyone who could actually have the skill to help me… despair. My girlfriend recommended Rebecca to me. She knew her from Exhale but said she also did private practice and maybe could work with me to make it accessible. From my first conversation with her I was overwhelmed at how caring and sincere she was in wanting to help me. Her schedule worked perfectly with mine and I found myself trading in my Thursday PranaVayu yoga class for my now weekly massage with Rebecca. I have been to 3 sessions so far and at this point I am willing to sell my first born(…and I really, really love him) to keep going to see Rebecca. Lucky for all of us I don’t have to. She took her time to get to know me and the needs of my body. She kept the lines of communication open while still keeping it very relaxed and comfortable. I could tell immediately that she pours her whole self into her work. She has been giving me «homework» to help my injury between sessions that have been really helpful, as well. My shoulder is already doing much better. I am not an expert by any means but I have had a vast array of massages over the years in all different styles. This is hands down the best massage experience I have ever had. Thank you so much, Lovely Rebecca! FYI…her new studio is at 264 Beacon in Back Bay… by appointment only.
