Pretty tootin’ good! It is a bit more in the high end but definitely quality. Perfect post-wine tasting. I haven’t broken into my dozen yet, but the honeycomb is divine! Sweet and perfectly chocolate. Pretty sure I would have spent my retirement on it if my friends didn’t drag me out. The service was also delightful. They also provide comatose-inducing samples. Great find!

We visited Wine Country Chocolates on Easter this year with our kids. I am a bit of a chocolate snob and I wanted my girls to get quality chocolate. So we took the kids into the shop to choose their Easter candy. At first, I was worried because it is a very nice shop, not somewhere you would normally take kids to eat chocolate. I was pleasantly surprised when the shop owner greeted my girls warmly and was happy to provide them with samples. Not only was she friendly, but her chocolate was DIVINE!!! Every chocolate we bought had a unique flavor and was extremely fresh. I am definitely planning another visit when I’m in Napa.

I stopped by this wonderful place to check out the chocolate tasting. They had samples of their ganache out and it was delicious. I purchased a box of 7 chocolates, each a different flavor. I can honestly say that these are the best I have ever had. The chocolate is smooth and seductive, while the centers melt on your tongue to coat your palate with delightful flavors that truly taste like what the name describes. My tastebuds waltzed with happiness.

I was going to do the chocolate tasting. That is until I got yelled at for moving their chair around. Maybe a lesson in customer service is in order. Won’t be stepping in that place.

The mocha, and cappuccino truffles were melt in your mouth wonderful. The two sweet ladies working there let us sample a few pieces until we made up our minds. I bought the 7 piece pack but regretted not buying more after I devoured them before I got to the end of the block.

When someone mentions«Sonoma Valley,» most people will think wine tasting. Which is great, but what can be even better than wine tasting? Wine infused chocolate tasting! As we were walking through Sonoma Plaza when we spotted a lovely sign that said«Chocolate Tasting.» They had a counter set up for the chocolate tasting to the left side of the store, and they had Port Ganache and also chocolate with different cacao contents in a jar for customers to taste. Port Ganache is one of their truffle filling, and without the chocolate coating, you can really taste the port wine in the chocolate. It was rich, creamy and decadent. They sell lots of pretty looking truffles you can buy after the tasting. Each chocolate was created with care, and very pretty! The staff there were kind and helpful, and the store was clean and organized. Read my full review on my food blog, foodlovergirl.

Pricey but delicious! Go in for a tasting! The 7 piece chocolate assortment was a good way to try some of their chocolates.

Am very very very disappointed. The shop is next door to the famous Civil War General Hooker and they have no chocolate to honor his contribution. Also, the shop is next door to a famous Catholic mission and no chocolate to honor this fact. There chocolate does not remind me the of Spirit of Sonoma instead its chocolate from Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, or Costco. I am not impressed.

Solid! A homey local chocolate shop that makes some of the richest truffles I’ve tasted yet. The style is far different from that of the likes of say, Ginger Elizabeth, Kollar and Chocolatier Blue. However, I loved how the cappuccino tiramisu and cabernet sauvignon chocolates just exploded with awesome in my mouth.

The only downside to this place is its too hard too choose what to pick! Free tasting sucks you in. Had to buy seconds.

Just get the Elvis. Do yourself that favor. And then get the Champagne and then like 6 more. Roll yourself out the door happy as a clan because the truffles and chocolates are pure heaven. You. Are. Welcome.

Good chocolate and they have samples for you to try which is always a fun activity to throw into the middle of your day of wine tasting in Sonoma. Really enjoyed their truffle filling. Nomz.

Such a great little store with amazing staff! The employees really got our attention and spent time figuring out which chocolates were the right ones for us. Their sales pitch wasn’t heavy where you felt you needed to buy something, the chocolate does that! I left with a 12 pack of truffles that have been enjoyed every night since vacation.

The chocolate is decent, pretty standard, which would normally garner a 3 star rating. However, the service was unfriendly and unhelpful. Decent prices, about $ 2 per piece.

I have been to the main location in Glen Ellen and today I stumbled into the shop just off of the square in Sonoma. These chocolates are delicious! All are made fresh and are original recipes. Today, Sandra at the counter wanted us to try something new, it is the cappuccino-tiramusu, yummy! The chocolates are high quality the recipes are original and the services is friendly and helpful. What more can one ask for in a chocolate shop. When visiting the plaza or «square» in Sonoma, make a visit, it is well worth it.

After enjoying lunch and walking around The Square, I had a craving for something sweet and came upon Wine Country Chocolates. As we walked-in, we were greeted warmly and offered to sample some of their ganache truffles, which I couldn’t refuse. They were silky, chocolatey and smooth. I was also able to try a Cab Truffle, which was also delicious. I then decided I needed a bit more, so I decided upon the dulce de leche, wild strawberry and the lemon tart truffles. I also bought my wife some sugar free chocolate to score some«brownie points». Needless to say they were very good. The chocolate was rich, but not too sweet and the fillings were just right. You can bet I’ll be back…

Rinky gave me a gift of their Dark Chocolate Almond Bark when we had lunch last week. I doled out treats for myself each day until it was all gone tonight. The chocolate was tasty and smooth and the almonds had a slight hint of salt. It was completely satisfying. Thanks, Rinky!

My friend and I stopped by this place as during our lunch break while we were on a wine tour. The store was a little small and has limited selection but lady there was nice, helpful. She genuinely invited everyone to come in and taste some chocolate samples for free(there was no pressure to buy anything). I tried chocolates with 30%, 60% and 70% cocao and a small dollop of chocolate ganache. I ended up buying bought chocolate-dipped fig and sour cherry chocolate barks(each was $ 7). I finished all my chocolate dipped figs(7 pieces) within a couple of hours… and am looking forward to working on the sour cherry ones tomorrow :)

Yea, I got lured in with the sign for chocolate tasting and ended up sampling a few from the case. Any occassion to eat chocolates seems like a good one. Overall, pretty good.
