Great food and service usually. Stopped by here after a long day. 2 kids and my wife. Upon entering a young man who was the host was to into the female host to pay much attention to anything else. We were seated and then after 15 minutes of waiting for a waiter we observed a waitress bring refills to the table next to us. Still no service, water or anything. The hosts stood about 4 feet away hitting on the other host. Service was horrible and severely lacking. We got up and on the way out the host told us have a nice evening. Really. The guy didn’t even compute he had just sat us and we were walking out. I said great service here. Horrible service.

My boyfriend and I came here after our weekend in Yosemite and boy was it satisfying (especially after a strenuous hike)! The portions are huge (which i love!) and big enough to share. I would definitely recommend the burgers and garlic fries! Great location with little shops surrounding it as well.

Best burger ever! Garlic fries were as good as at the gIants game. They recently changed a wine on their list and I got the more expensive wine for the lower price. After I try every restaurant this might be my monthly spot.

Great food, cool casual atmosphere. The waiters/​waitresses and cooks were great and had good knowledge of the items to help us choose. All ingredients were fresh.
My husband had a guacamole burger with onion rings, very good.
I had the pastrami sandwich with sweet potato fries.
Definitely recommend for lunch if you are seeking a casual mellow yet exciting lunch with friends or family.

Diamondback is the bomb! Great burgers & variety of fries! Local produce served! Friendly & always hopping. We love this place! Locals eat here a lot!

Loved the food. Just dont drink the water. Not used to water tasting so bad even in the soda machine. The iced tea was good. I had the roast beef special with half salad and fries. Service was awesome. Great spot for upscale pud grub.

Restaurant has been heading in the wrong direction in the past few years. Hope it improves to what it used to be.

One of the best places to go for a burger, salad and a glass of wine. This place is always busy, which is a sign how fantastic it is. The veggie burger and the sweet potato fries are the best.

Excellent burgers in a beautifully designed space. Our server was competent and considerate. They had a good selection of beers, and the special for the day was quite good. We had a party of four and tried the Kobe beef burgers, and their locally sourced burgers. Both were well seasoned and good value for money. Would definitely go back.

We came to Diamondback Grill based on the Unilocal reviews. This was a good decision! The food is really tasty, the décor interesting and the staff was really friendly. We arrived at prime time — 7pm on a Friday night — and the place was hopping. We waited 20 minutes and were seated.
Our waitress swung by to take our drink orders and returned with our drinks a few minutes later. Our son ordered the large plate of fries, which are an appetizer as his meal. My hubs had the ultimate grilled cheese with a side soup while I ordered the house salad with buttermilk parsley dressing and fish and chips.
The order took awhile to arrive. It gave us a chance to spy on other diners’ orders. We knew everything looked very tasty and were big portions. My salad arrived with a grilled Rosemary bread which was really yummy (my picky son even liked the bread). The ultimate grilled cheese my hubs had had cheese on the outside and inside as well tomato and bacon. He really enjoyed it as well as the side soup of chicken with chile oil which was creamy, comforting with a hint of heat. The fish and chips had a crisp crust and moist fish interior. The sriracha Cole slaw was very well done with a slight kick from the sriracha. The fries are shoestring and lightly crisp.
We really loved this place. Will be back again…

Diamondback Grill was one of the few places open when we were looking for food late at night while staying in Jamestown. I really liked the walls, there’s some exposed brick and a vintage feel to the place. This place gives off a great vibe from the get-​go.
I had the tostada, which they don’t mention is actually «The leaning tower of tostada». I was excited when this plate came, obviously cause it is a lot of food. The stack is mostly a lettuce/​salad thing with spicy dressing. Trust me, I love spicy food and to me this was spicy, so you’ve been warned! If you can make it all the way down to the beans and corn tortillas you may find yourself… dissatisfied. After I finished the huge tower of lettuce and got to the actual tostada I noticed it was actually really bland. There’s no sauce, cheese, seasoning. It’s basically just refried beans on corn tortillas, no frills.
Eating the tostada was like watching a movie build up, getting excited about it, and then finding out it’s a terrible ending. The actual tostada, what I call the beans and corn tortilla, seems like it was an after thought. They concentrate so much on the tower of lettuce that I wish they would have put more thought into the main part.
Service was very friendly, and like I said I really liked the ambiance. And yes, the tostada tower was impressive. LoL. I almost gave this a 4 :-)

The burgers here are killer!!! ½ pound cooked the way you like it.

4 STARS FOR SONORA, YEA.
The air vents arn’t blowing filthy strings like twaine harte mexican. The staff does smile and speak better than fast food staff. I was not amazed, but I was not repulsed anytime I’ve been here. So I would come back, not in any rush, but wouldn’t be opposed.

Great casual restaurant. Service is pretty laid back so if you expect to get everything you ask for, you may be a little disappointed but otherwise the food is delicious. I have had the garlic fries before with their buttermilk dressing and know that it’s to die for.

Let’s begin with the raw steak put on my wife’s salad. How can a place not know the difference between medium rare and raw?
Burger looks amazing but it is flavorless, fatty, and unseasoned. The bun is too large for the burger. The sweet potato fries were also, surprise, unseasoned. Maybe I should offer to buy them some kosher salt for Christmas? The portions were generous but for the price, I would rather have quality over quantity.
I was so looking forward to this place and now I really feel let down.

We both had a tomato/​mozzarella/​pesto burger. One of us with a glutenfree bun. With salat+bluecheese dressing on the side. And some potato fries.

Nous avions sélectionné Jamestown comme ville étape pour la visite de Yosemite. L’hôtelier nous a conseiller le Diamondback comme bon restaurant et j’avoue que nous avons été bien conseillé !!! Les burgers étaient succulent, les bières très variés. Nous y avons également goûté aux vins californiens qui sont excellents ! A essayer avec leurs burgers !
Et pour né rien gâcher le personnel est super sympa ! Nous y sommes retourné deux fois et les serveurs nous ont bien reconnu et nous avons bien sympathisé ! Bön, il faut dire que j’avais un peu morflé au niveau coup de soleil sur le visage et que cela facilitait l’identification
En bref, à conseiller fortement pour de l’authentique !

The diamond back grill! Yes to all. Service top notch, food top notch, ambiance great! The location to this place is ocean front property great and I can say it enough the service was freakin killer which I don’t see as much nowadays I wish I can remember my waitresses name she was on it like roofs are on buildings, cool old buildings surround the area which adds to the character of this place and dude the food has my mouth watering thinking about it… Yes 4 stars 5 would be to good but your almost there :) now when I pass through Sonora I know where I’m eating, on a side note parking sucks everywhere here but it’s a tourist town so your gonna get that

Recommended by the lady who works at the gas station in downtown Sonora. She said they have the best burgers and salads in town. And she was right!
Diamondback Grill is a casual restaurant that serves fresh and handcrafted food (burgers, salads, sandwiches, daily specials — salmon, steak and pork). I love the interior. It has a cozy and rustic feel to it. I love the exposed brick, all kinds of art framed on the wall and large ceiling fans that makes the entire room feel fresh. The staff are very nice and energetic.
Everything we had was delicious
–GRILLED FLAT IRON STEAK SALAD $ 12 (warm salad) — marinated grilled skirt steak on a bed of greens with a side of onion jam and sauteed mushrooms. I rarely order salad, but I made a good choice. Beef was perfectly cooked to medium and was soft and tender. The onion jam complimented the beef very well. I highly recommend it!
–MUSHROOM and SWISS BURGER $ 10 — Ofcourse, El hubby had to get a burger like always. Grass fed beef burger was juicy and delicious and it came with lots of mushrooms.
Highly recommend this place in you’re in the area!

Best restaurant in Sonora. We tried several local wines and we loved them.
