Alberto’s Mexican Food

The food is decent but they get all of my orders wrong like I said no lettuce on my taco and they put all lettuce plus I ordered another taco and i said no guacamole because i am allergic they even put no guacamole at the receipt like WTF??? I hope to expect better from them until now I hope to change this rating.

Ordered two chicken tacos to go and this is what I got… Literally chicken and tortilla. No onion no cilantro no sauce NOTHING. Why the fuck would I pay for this.

This is my absolute favorite spot to go to late at night! They have the best carne asada fries, hands down.

They got my order wrong. They put guacamole in the burrito when i specifically asked for it on the side.

Arrived at 12:49am went to the drive through, lady said they were closed. We asked what time do they close. She replied: 1am. 10mins left they wouldn’t serve us.

California burrito is the perfect combination of bomb and cheap.

New management made the carne asada taste more saltier, and the new girl they hired is rude and slow as hell. I was literally standing there for 20 minutes before she took my order. Bring back the old management!

New management, decided to give it another try.
Food portion was a little better for the fries and nachos but no were the same as before. Prices did go up again. Food was meh, I am still disappointed by how downhill everything went here.

Rolled Tacos w/​Guacamole — $ 5 — They offer a 5 tacos now.

Under new management, redesigned the interior of the restaurant so it’s a little more modern but for the most part it’s the same Albertos that everyone remembers from before. They still have the same menu and same food, but I guess it’s cooked a little differently now. One good thing is that they don’t have an extra charge when you pay with card now!
I used to come to this location back the old days when craving greasy and unhealthy foods in the late nights. I’ve tried enough of their menu to know that it will fill your stomach up nicely and make you regret coming here afterwards. One thing that I always craved at Albertos is their breakfast burrito; I’ve had them at various locations before but I always thought the one here satisifed me the best. The carne asada fries here are decent, but like everything else, very heavy. Meat was a little dry, but everything else was okay.
Overall, come here expecting to get fat and possibly having to use the restroom the next day; but some of the food here is decent like the breakfast burrito. Don’t expect this to be the best mexican food ever, but it’ll do the job.

This place is alright the taquitos are the bomb the al pastor can be a little better the carne asada you end up with some fat in it it ruins what ever you eat the tacos the burritos every thing! At least they are not stingy like king taco ! I thought this place was 24 hours oh well ???

Horrible spot just horrible. Worst customer service ever. I went for quick food run since it’s near my house and every single time they mess up and then roll their eyes if you mention it. Went back thinking maybe the girl had a bad day last time and all my food was still frozen and orders were still wrong

I’m obsessed w rolled tacos (taquitos) and they are getting harder to find. These are old-​school awesome!!! lots of guac & cheese piled on, huge, all for only $ 5.00!!! I think this Alberto’s is under new mngmnt cause everything tastes better! they even cleaned up the restaurant and got new tables and chairs, seriously try it again, you won’t be disappointed.

This review is only to show my discontent with the chicken burrito which I received. I’ve frequented Alberto’s many times over the past 5 years to fill the void in my life. And tonight, I got a chicken burrito that was not to my expectations, by a long shot. A) It was smaller than all others that I got. I thought it was my imagination but when the burrito looked like it could fit inside another burrito, than I lost all the doubt of my doubts. B) Alberto’s changed their chicken, and I liked it how it was. I don’t like this new chicken. No thanks, no more chicken burritos/​tacos/​quesadillas/​any other chicken associated items for me.

These are a few of my favorite things!!! Alberto’s California Burrito definitely deserves to be apart of that song! I’ve been coming here for years! When I moved to Florida for 5yrs and my friends would come visit me… I would always only ask that they bring me a California Burrito lol! I’ve tried other wanabe places but this particular location is my fave! Not only do I think so but the fact that they have recently upgraded with marble counter tops and almost all new everything says that all their business says the same! I’m not blessed with having a lil cute mexican grandma that cooks me food all the time, but when I settle down and watch some telenovelas and eat my scrumptious burrito, I can’t help but feel the warm glow of «Nana’s» love lol. I will be coming back here forever and a day!

This is my first Alberto’s. My sister is obsessed with Alberto’s so I decided to try it.
Last night I ordered a Burrito (Asada) and the first couple of bites were good. It contained rice, beans, onions, and avocado along with the meat. It was juicy and not bad.
I was a couple of bites away from finishing the burrito when I found this thick dark hair sticking out in between the meat.
Gross.

Everyone used to come here for two reasons. 1) 24 hours. 2) giant carne asada fries.
Before, their carne asada fries used to come in two sizes. Mini (feeds about 2−3ppl) for $ 6. And jumbo (almost the same size as their mini) for $ 9. Now, they took the mini away, and only offer the jumbo. It’s a lot smaller than the mini used to be and a lot more expensive!
They also don’t offer free chips anymore or green salsa, according to the younger female cashier. Though I’m not sure if it’s just because she didn’t want to give it to me. I guess the plus size is that they still give you free pico de gallo, though I wouldn’t be surprised if they started charging for that in the near future as well.
Also, it’s only 24 hours on Thursday-​Saturday! Closes at 1:30 on mon-​wed.

Alberto’s is great for late night munchies. I haven’t been here forever but I recently just came here on my way home from knotts scary farm and it was so delicious. I usually get the carne asada fries or a carne asada burrito. The fries is a pretty big portion you can definitely share. It comes with sour cream and guac too
I love this location bc 1. It’s 24 hours !!! And 2. There’s a drive through!!!
I love places with a drive through :) but the one in El Monte has a drive through as well I think this is the only one around that is 24 hours

Alberto’s has definitely gone downhill since my initial review about 5 years ago. They used to be this decent and cheap Mexican fast food drive thru with a fairly dank enough offering of Mini/​Super Fries. Not only did they stop serving Mini Fries (which was the best portion and value for 1 or 2 people), the quality of the food has sunk. Or maybe my tastes have matured and refined quite a bit. Either way I was already getting over this place. And last night was probably the last time I came back.
Around 2 or 3 am last night (or this morning, technically speaking) I was in the drive thru to get an order of Super Fries, but after ordering, there was a long wait because there was some guy in the front of me at the window who actually came out of his truck to talk to the workers. He was PISSED. I don’t know the whole story of what happened, but from what I gathered from listening was that he saw one of the workers spitting into the food and laughing about it. The guy got out of his truck to speak to a lady with a red shirt and some dude with a black shirt through the window (there likely could be one or more other people involved but I had a limited view). They eventually gave him his order so he opened it in front of them and tried it out. He wanted that male worker to try the food but he wouldn’t. The angry customer later on put the food in his car and came up to me to tell me that they’re spitting in the food and he drove off.
Since I wasn’t interested in having even the slightest chance of getting an order of Super Loogie Deluxe Fries (over 8 dollars anyway), I left right after he left, and so did the guy behind me.
I know I didn’t technically see them do it, so you can take this review with a grain of salt. Personally, it’s just not worth it. The food quality was hanging by a thread for me anyway. Spitting in food is never okay when you’re working in the food industry, and it’s only made worse by the fact that you’re spitting in someone’s food when that person didn’t even do anything to you. He was a dude in a drive thru. This kid was doing it for fun in all likelihood and now I’m grossed out by this person and this place as a whole.
Looks like I’ll have to resort to Hong Kong cafes for my late night munchies, or I can just spit on my own fries at home.

When you’re drunk at 3am, this is the place to be. They have drive-​thru or you can sit inside. I always get the carne asada fries ($ 9) here because I’m a sucker for fries. Solid drunk spot to be.

AVOID this Alberto’s!!! Proceed at your own risk… The food is disgusting. Place is dirty inside. Our sodas were watered down… Food was bland. One of our cups had a hair in in… And I watched them make our food. When they made my tacos the cook added the lettuce with his HANDS. He did not have any gloves on. Disgusting!!! I was repulsed by this. When I got my food I immediately picked off the lettuce. So gross and unsanitary!!! Aside from that my #13 fish tacos were horrible. The fish was not even cooked all the way. They slapped a crap ton of mayo on the tortillas as IG that hide the fact that the fish was not cooked all the way, and piled on lettuce bare handed… So not pleased with our experience here. Avoid this dirty unsanitary Alberto’s! I could not even eat my food. Waste of $ 20.
