Athletico Physical Therapy – South Elgin

I couldn’t give this particular location enough positive comments in both ability/​knowledge/​scheduling time/​customer service. I spent about five weeks here back in May/​June working on trying to strengthen my shoulder to avoid surgery. I was able to stop right in the same day after receiving the prescription from my dr. and have my initial assessment. The staff found time to get me in twice that week and was always excellent about working around my scheduling needs. While I wasn’t able to avoid surgery (the injury was too extreme) I felt that the therapist there made sure I understood what my options where — even better than the surgeon.
I had the surgery in August and am in my 6^th week of post-​op pt and all the same continues to apply. Ice to go when I run out of time or scheduling my sessions out for three weeks really helps me to keep my schedule (and my family’s) on track. They also were very cognizant of any insurance constraints I had and offered more at-​home options to do between sessions to help me progress quicker (and/​or lessen my out of pocket burden by being on site less often).
The place can be bustling but that only helps keep the atmosphere positive. Lots of space for a variety of exercises makes for an efficient and effective rehab location. The aides are fantastic at making sure I’m performing the moves correctly if I’m not working directly with a therapist and someone is always available to answer a question if needed.
I would recommend Athletico and this location in particular.
