Walked in, was never greeted. sat for 15 minutes; no server or waitress acknowledge us and we left. I guess the bartender was too busy drinking her shot with customers to notice anything.

Horrible restaurant. it’s dirty and the food was uncooked. We has cold burgers and fries. It was almost like they microwaved it but not all the way. The service here was ok. It took about 10 minutes for someone to take our drink order but the waitress was nice. Just a little slow.

Went to Bookers this past Saturday(1⁄10) and was very upset with the terrible service that I received. The bartender was very unfriendly, rude and condiscending. Wanted nothing to do with us and had a smirk on her face when speaking to us. Left after about 20 minutes. I won’t be returning to Bookers anytime soon.

Bartender this evening was terrible. She was rude and condescending. The drink specials were good, left after 2 rounds because the place was empty and the bartender(girl, long brown hair) had so much attitude.

Came here last Thursday for the Bears/Packers game with my husband and sister. This was everyone’s first time at Booker’s. We were probably the youngest ones there… it looked like a 35+ crowd. I had two Long Islands which were good. My husband had beer. We ordered Jamacian Jerk(?) and Hot Garlic wings, fries & mini burgers. I thought the food was good, nothing to make go crazy and want to come back but it was good. The service was good as well. Our waitress was new but she was on top of everything. Overall Booker’s is just average. Nothing amazing but nothing bad either.

My mom and brother have a standing Friday night tradition — started a couple of years ago. My brother picks up his son, then picks up my mom and they go to Bookers Bar and Grill for dinner. Having spent about 6 weeks with my mom this past fall, I got to experience this tradition first-hand. Note that I’d been to Booker’s at least once, several years ago. I don’t think I had any food then. Instead I had a very nice dry martini. Never mind that it was before 5. I sat next to a man who I discovered is a regular who kept repeating, something about being a good day in paradise. What I remember most about that first visit was the friendly bartenders and wait staff. Perhaps it was because they knew my mom, but I felt a genuine caring from the folks that I met there. Another time I went — without my mom — the woman who waited on us was not nearly as friendly — downright rude.(Note, I’ve not seen her since that one time so perhaps she quit). Booker’s on Friday nights is different from Booker’s in the middle of the afternoon. For one thing, especially if there is a game on the dozens of televisions around the main room, it can get LOUD. And it can get busy, but that doesn’t stop the wait staff from being friendly and attentive. The food is typical tavern fare for the most part — the fish fry is pretty good, but I really liked the blackened tuna which I had on several visits. I also had a couple other things on the menu — all good — comfort food. I think the best thing about Booker’s is the people. The food is good, but the people are the draw. And the martinis are not bad either.
