Alberto’s Mexican Food

Quick version: go if there’s nothing else open and stick to the care Asama fries.
Details:
Meat was okay, didn’t taste juicy. It was like biting some chorizo after microwaving the moisture out of it and letting it sit. The salsa bar was gacho. The basic of basic. Green salsa, red salsa, «quemada» salsa, pickled carrots and jalapenos out of the can. girl in front was nervous and awkward taking my order and while I was still ordering the main cook was huddling over her as she wrote the order down in a «now what the hell does
this guy want. I already cleaned the plancha» kind of way. Just another meh taco spot. The vato in the back was slicing a huge chunk of meat with a slicer which made me feel like they re cutting all the corners. They’re just producing tacos, not cooking the carne with the touch and love.

By far the worst «Mexican Food» in town. Don’t be fooled by the burritos stuffed with meat. It is cheap, low quality meat therefore they can put a lot in the food. Their food is beyond greasy and lacks taste as well. No beans or rice in their burritos either. The only good thing there is the premixed horchata and fries… and even that’s pushing it. Don’t waste your money at this place. Never going back again. Gross.

At first glance, it’s easy to see why people might come here and expect a great meal. Alberto’s has a reputation for being the best. But if you take a closer look, you’ll notice something off with the name, it says Albert’s instead of Alberto’s.
After our meal, it all made sense. The rolled tacos were waaay too hard, the salsa too bland and the food didn’t sit well with our stomach at all. We were disappointed that Alberto’s had lowered their standard for food until we realized it wasn’t Alberto’s at all.
So I’m mostly writing this as a ‘user beware’ type deal, seeing as Unilocal has this down as ‘Alberto’s’ instead of ‘Albert’s’. There will be Mexican food here! It just won’t all be great.

I been coming to this place since they opened. They have the best carne asada fries and burritos.burritos.I really recommend it.

Nobody makes better carne asada nachos!!! The shrimp plate is also yummy. I’m super picky about beans and the beans here are always fresh.
