They always take forever! I was at the drive thru for 20 minutes waiting for my 2 burritos and one waffle! Then she forgets one of my burritos and asks me if I’m going to come back and pick it up? Well duh it was $ 8 what kind of a question us that?

I really enjoy their sandwiches mostly the avocado turkey sandwich and the fries always nice and crispy, the price is fair about 8.75 for the combo also the free coffee refills don’t hurt!

It’s a cool local spot if you’re craving a breakfast burrito or a Belgian waffle. Their salsa lacks flavor so you’re better off using homemade salsa. The wait is usually really long whether you get off or go through drive-thru. However, the customer service is usually pretty good. I’d come back for the two items listed above.

Breakfasts are great and well priced. The bacon cheese burger is amazing. Made to perfection.

I always come in and get the usual a bacon combo cheese burger, so far it’s pretty good. Everything else is ok, the breakfast is pretty good except for the waffles they are kinda plain. Ok so the reason for this review, people there are pretty nice but the one thing I would change would be the whole debit checking I. D thing if your charging my food on a debit card there should be no reason your asking for an I.D. It’s not like it’s credit, I think If they changed that I would give this place a 4 stars. I’ve gone to buy food using my boyfriend debit card and they won’t accept it even if he sends me to get food and I tell them. Overall it’s a nice clean place.

I come here for two things: Grilled Cheese on Wheat, with Grilled Onions, Tomato, and Bacon. Trust me you have to have your grilled cheese my way. They also have a great Steak Sandwich.(Ribeye) the service is good and the girls are very attentive.

As much as I want to love this place, I can’t! So many of my friends have been coming here since their elementary school years and love it.(In my opinion, I think they love the memories that were made rather than the food). I recently wanted to give this burger joint another try and yet again, my order was not correct and my food did not taste fresh at all! I have tried various food items and I’ve had the same issue time after time.

It has definitely changed. Most of the menu items are a la carte it seems. The fries are no longer seasoned, at least mine weren’t. I think their drive thru speaker is messed up because they did not give me at all what I ordered. The zucchini was not good, had a weird taste. The onion rings are bland. I didn’t get a drink there because Tom’s sodas always tasted like flat Shasta. The burgers are ok though.

Not sure if this place is under new management but definitely not how it used to be. I ordered a waffle and it took 2 guys to try to remove it from the waffle maker did I mention they did it with there bare hands no gloves… SODISGUSTING! So now that everyone’s touched my waffle and they saw me looking they still tried to give it to me! When I called them on it… And asked why they weren’t wearing gloves The waitress disregarded my question and said do you want something else? Seriously! This is unsanitary and I’m sure the HEALTHDEPT. Would not approve. Did I mention she gave me attitude for calling her on it! I mean I wasn’t blaming her I just don’t want my food to go thru four hands before it goes into my mouth! Sucks this Toms used to be so good! Even the thousand island tastes like crap!

Had breakfast here for the first time… didn’t think I was going to wait almost 45 minutes for it. It’s sad that they would rather serve drive through better than inside customers. As time passed by I started feeling very sick throughout the whole day and the next. It took me a day and a half to get this out of my system… will never go back there again.

French toast breakfast special is the business here! And only $ 3.99! Worth the drive to my old neighborhood =) However, the coffee could be a little stronger. And the wait for dining in could be a little shorter. And they could have remembered my hashbrown. But hey, $ 3.99 and it’s still really really good!

I love charbroiled burgers and Tom’s is my go-to place! I usually go to the one on Gage and Lucille Ave in Bell, but this time I was visiting my grandparents who were staying in Walnut Park. Relatively close to this burger joint. The burgers were really good as always. The only downside was that it was really hot and they had no air conditioner or fans. I was sweating while eating the burger. Yuck. It was really hot! That’s the only thing I would recommend! Get some ceiling fans or turn on the A/C! Your burgers are really good though! :)

Not sure if they recently changed their name, but on my receipt the restaurant name is «Tom’s Express». Not a huge difference since it still falls under the Tom’s chain. Tom’s is a huge mom and pop chain in South East Los Angeles and this place doesn’t disappoint. I came here for breakfast before heading out to work. If you are a breakfast burrito aficionado I would highly recommend the Tom’s breakfast burrito. It comes with egg, hash brown, cheese and the holy trinity(ham, sausage, bacon). Truly a mans man breakfast that will not let you down. Now I’m thinking I might not eat until dinner time. The girl at the cash register was super nice. Only reason I’m not handing out 5 stars is because this place isn’t different from the other Tams or Jims around the neighborhood. Oh and they have some pretty legit specials so go and get your grub on!

It’s a typical burger spot, fries and a burger, staff was friendly and order came out quickly as we came in with a group of 12 people all at once.

You would think that the restaurant I have frequented the most in the last couple of years would be amongst one of my all-time-favorites. Well, it’s not. Tom’s Burger’s #11 just happens to be located a couple of street lights away from me. The food is okay, relatively cheap and the portions are usually enough to fill me up. My go-to meal here is usually a plain olé burger and fries combo with a bag of pickled carrots and banana peppers( ). The burger is nothing spectacular. In fact, the patty is thin, not very beefy and at times dry. What I do like about these fast food joints is that the patty is actually charbroiled or grilled rather than microwaved(or whatever it is that they do at major fast food chains). I like the flavor it imparts and what can I say, I’m a sucker for grill marks. Anyway, I’ve also had their chili cheese fries but I get tired of them pretty quickly. Additionally, I have also tried a few breakfast items as well as their fried chicken dinner that comes with bread, re-fried beans, onion rings and a cheap-ass side salad of lettuce and tomatoes. Again, the portions are big enough for a hungry guy to be satiated. Most females, on the other hand, will probably get full and still have plenty for leftovers. This is a no frills restaurant and that’s okay with me. I much prefer to support this kind of establishment rather than major fast food chains. Aside from my yearly McDonald’s Fries fix, this is the sort of fast food that I prefer to eat when I get hungry and have little or no time to prepare a meal or think about which restaurant to go to. As always, considering the flavor, portions and price…3 stars
