WaBa Grill

Went there since everywhere else was full, food is good but I got a plate and salad was very little, hardly any dressing and to top it off the salad was old. Probably only go if everywhere else is full.

Hey, I’m a big fan of teriyaki. I love just about everything WabaGrill has to offer. Usually I’ll go for their chicken bowl combo.
Located right inside a shopping center that boasts plenty of parking, this location is quite small inside with a couple of tables where you can enjoy your food. I’m a sucker for the chicken bowls with brown rice especially!!! Mmmm! There is plenty of teriyaki sauce as well as hot sauce available for self serving.
What more can I say about this place except that they will continue to get my business??? You guys just keep feeding me with your tasty bowls and I’ll keep giving you guys my cash and business!!!

This location sucks ! Do not go here. I am. A fan of waba. But this one is no good. My husband got a salmon bowl and it was not cooked well. Had to wait to get another one. Then the soda machine was not working. Had to wait to fix it ! Then I asked to speak to a manger and said he or she wasn’t there. It was just horrible service and crappy food.

I had Waba for the first time today. It was pretty delicious. I got the chicken and steak bowl. The proteins were cooked well and the sauce was very tasty. I’m not a fan of flame broiler so I was a little skeptical about trying waba but I was pleasantly surprised. The only negative thing I have to say is that I think the pricing is a little high for the food other than that this place is pretty good.

The food is always good. Don’t have a complaint about the shrimp, salmon or chicken… Only complaint is the staff look miserable as hell. They can work on their greeting skills

Waba Grill seems to have it figured out, healthy food in generous portions for a fair price offered in a comfortable modern setting. I have no complaints about this location the staff is always helpful and respectful and the food is always cooked to perfection. I would advise everyone to visit you will not be let down!

Ordered a rib plate for $ 10 and im still hungry. Had to throw away most of my food since rhe meat was burned and dont want to eat burn food and get cancer. I told the waitress that the food is burned and she just said sorry and did not do nothing

It seems like WaBa’s are picking up where Yoshinoya failed, and they are doing a pretty good job. The food is really good, and I guess it is fresher or healthier than other places because they charge a little bit more per plate/​bowl.
I have been to a couple of locations and I’m yet to have a bad experience. I don’t like to give chain stores a high rating because since they all follow the same protocol there is really nothing that sets one apart from the other. Unless of course you have a horrible experience at one, but that hasn’t been the case so far for me.
The food is prepared promptly and if you prefer seafood over chicken/​beef they have that option. I would highly suggest getting the half and half and enjoying the best of both worlds. Don’t forget the WaBa hot sauce and teriyaki sauce on the side.

The chicken Teriyaki is good and fresh. Clean restaurant and friendly staff.

They need to get better cooks in this place! This is the second time they burned my food. I was so disaponted buying food for me and my daughter only to find out it was burned at home…

This is the only Waba Grill I’ve been to where I’ve had bones in my meat and big pieces of fat. if I wanted fat on my chicken I would’ve gone to tacos mexico and not paid 15 dollars for my food. never again will I come to this southgate waba grill.

Wonderful speedy service. Super friendly staff with an enthusiastic vibe. A friendly welcome is said as soon as I walk in through the doors. The location is clean and fully stocked with the necessary items to make the experience even better. My food is cooked to perfection, the rice is delicious, whether it be as simplistic as a chicken bowl or complex like a salmon or rib plate, the food is of outstanding quality and cooked just the way I like it. Lets not forget the presentation of the food, nothing is just thrown on the plate, the cooks really take their time to make the meal look delicious and appetizing with presentation points. A meal worth instagraming or facebooking to have people envious of your lunch break choice. They take the time to really get to know their customers from asking «how is their day going so far» to offering a beverage or avocadao with your meal. South Gate really needed a place like this, somewhere where the adult crowd can really enjoy a good quality meal without the need of further travel. Warm and welcoming smiles, yes that is this WaBa, exceptional service with exceptional food, and cleanliness.
