Cool place to meet up with friends for lunch or dinner and drinks! Friendly staff. Good food and cool atmosphere. Everything I’ve tried on the menu has been very tasty so far. Highly recommend the Nachos, Chicken Cheese Steak and their brick oven pizza is delicious! Also like to go there on trivia & karaōke nights! Truly a blast!

I really wanted to love this place. My friend and I felt adventurous so we decided to pick a new place for dinner. Saw the 4 stars rating so decided to check it out. The service was great and everyone was so nice… however the first red flag: it was 6:30pm and nobody was there eating dinner but only hanging out at the bar when we got there. on a Friday night. I ordered a glass of a house wine that honestly tasted old or that the bottle was open for awhile. The margarita pizza was not great. We got the thin crust and before we received it, we were really excited from the waitress telling us how amazing it was, but when we got it, it looked exactly like a plain pie and it was so oily. It did not look like the photos posted on Unilocal and for the area this was not good pizza. Disappointed it was bad and we paid about 16.00 for that pie. Way too expensive for what we were offered. I wouldn’t recommend coming here if you’re looking for pizza but if you want friendly service and basic drinks, could be a friendly spot.

I found this place on Unilocal and ordered a pie and so far there pizza is the best I’ve had so far. I’m new to nj originally from NYC and it was hard to find a good pizza place and now I finally found. i will definitely keep coming back here. Two thumbs up for sure

This is a hidden gem of a bar and grill. I had the old judge pie and the fried green beans and they were both fresh and delicious. Nice staff and owner. I will definitely return.

Traveling the country in a 18 wheeler makes eating a challenge. Truck stop food gets boring after a while and most restaurants don’t have enough room for 65 feet of truck in their parking lot never mind the challenge of getting to the restaurant. Thanks Unilocal for helping me find places that deliver. Found this one and by the reviews gave it a try. Ordered the meatball parm on garlic bread with onion rings and a side of mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were your run of the mill sticks and the sauce they served with it was watery Onion rings were very good looks like they fried than grilled them. The meatball parm was interesting heavy garlic taste mixed with meatball spices made it strong. The meatballs in the sandwich were sliced, soft mushy and the whole sandwich was dry. Nothing I would order again Ordering was ok but noisy on their end. Deliver was fast and driver seemed nice enough I was only a half mile away took 25 min.

My favorite pizza and snack place in town so far. Having recently moved to the area I’ve been exploring all the local food spots for about two years. Not only is the pizza fantastic, there are so many fun snacks and entrees on the menu, I never get bored. There is alcohol and TV and the staff are just about the nicest folks. Sometimes there is additional entertainment like trivia night. Go here, it’s fun.

This place is a great local bar for folks in the S. Hackensack area. The food is great, service is great and surprisingly has great beer options. I’m a bit of a beer snob and this bar caters more to «normal» beer drinkers yet there are at least 2IPA options on tap, most recently Brooklyn Blast! and Elysian Space Dust. Had both when I scarfed down an Old Judge, some wings and a chicken parm hero. The chicken parm was awesome, the rolls they use are terrific and then they make it into garlic bread to sandwich a good chicken parm, paired with fresh cut fries. YUM. A friend of mine lives nearby and I’ll definitely meet up here with him when I can!

Pizza was not very good, especially for a place that calls itself Brick Oven! I would pay closer attention to the 1 and 2 star reviews. I wish I had. Dough tasted like it was from a frozen pizza. Sauce was terrible. Service was very nice at least.

Update The pizza was amazing! We got the Buffalo pizza once again and this time it was spicy, crunchy and just perfection. Why am I giving them a bad review, well the pizza I ordered was burnt! That’s all there is to it, and yes I know it’s prepared in a brick oven and it is expected to be a little burnt but this was like eating CHARCOAL. That is just not acceptable.

Not a bad pizza/bar. We had a buffalo chicken pie which was spicy as waitress warned us, wasn’t terrible but we have had better/different versions of this made better. Friends ordered the veggie pie which they enjoyed and looked good. Noticed another table had a cheese pie that looked quite good. We had fried calamari to start and they were cooked and seasoned well. The marinara sauce was good as was the Asian dipping sauce but more like honey mustard with soy sauce and spices than a typical Asian sauce. I would go back. Would have cheese pizza next time or the chicken parm on garlic bread which sounds amazing and another reviews suggested.(Should have listened). One thing odd was the place was pretty empty for a Friday night and we arrived before 8. Hmmmm

Great sandwiches and pizza in a sports bar/pub environment. Your standard fare foods usually have a slight twist here, like a meatball sub on garlic bread or their Old Judge pizza cut in squares. Always a fun night out with the better half or with friends. Quiet enough to be heard at normal tones, but the environment is not like a library either. There are many tv’s going with whatever sporting events on, plenty of varieties of beer on tap and in bottles. Decent bar selection and the help are really great veterans who know how to take care of customers.

Drop whatever you are doing and go to Bergen Brick Oven for a garbage pie. What a find! Delicious food, excellent attentive service, and an inviting atmosphere were everything I needed for a perfect score. I was overly impressed and am excited to return soon. Well done!

Megan or whatever her name is. D. I think, don’t know what she’s talking about. Couldn’t be more untrue. Just tuckered on down from cali and walked in here not knowing anything about the place. Great food, awesome staff and most importantly they have a vast array of affordable spirits and beers to suite your taste. Fresh pizza … umm… what more can you ask for. Kick back and enjoy the ball game on their big screens. Perfect easy 5 stars.

Went tonight with my fiancé to celebrate closing on our first home. We couldn’t have felt more welcome… from greeting us as we first walked in to helping us decide on something from the menu, Nick was wonderful. He was very efficient and friendly was right there when we needed another drink. We are definitely going back to try more things on the menu.. but the garbage pie and old judge were delicious! I heard the burgers are great so they will ml be next on our list to try! Definitely going back! ! Ok… now I’m here 7 months later. adding to my review… Get the pretzels if you come here. They come with an awesome jalapeño cheese sauce. It is arguably my fault that I haven’t explored the menu all too much because I’m a creature of comfort. If the food isn’t broke, why fix it… the only thing I enjoy more(or equal to) than the food, is the staff. NICK, JIMMY, ANDNELLIE are pretty great… very attentive and friendly.. they definitely know how to make my fiancé and I feel welcome and happy. Oh, and if you get the ‘Old Judge,’ roll it like a pizza roll. It literally makes me smile when I devour it like a boss.

Clearly I’m the odd man out on this review but I just returned home from our dinner and I couldn’t be anymore disgusted. I’m not in the mood to author a detailed review but here are the headlines: –dirty interior(flies/plates unclean/floors unkempt) –Old Judge was served cool/cold(and saw other pies sitting in the window doing the same) –constantly had to beg for service/silverware/plates –fried calamari was awful — had I not been with a group, it would have been sent back It was not busy(for a Saturday dinner service, that should have been my first clue) inside so to have to wait for food is unacceptable. Additionally, there was an older gentleman(employee) whom I saw sitting(literally) at the bar quite a few times and walking outside to take phone calls. Meanwhile, food is sitting in the window, we have empty glasses of beverages that need refills and dirty plates that need to be removed. During this time, a young lady was truly hustling and was very pleasant. I had to scratch my head at that dynamic.
