In Vogue Salon

This was my first time today over at In Vogue Salon and I have to admit it was one of the best experiences I have had!
Last week, I attempted to touch up my roots on my own. The result? A really bad shade of bright copper-​orange. Yikes! I called them up on a Tuesday and spoke with Sophia. She set up the next possible appointment slot for me with Shannon– a Saturday. Not most ideal, but I was grateful!
I had a hectic morning the day of my appt getting family out of the house, so I was about 20 minutes late to my appointment. As soon as I knew I was going to be late, I rang them to update on my new time slot. No worries! I arrived, sat for 30 seconds and was greeted by Shannon. From the get-​go, Shannon was very kind and helpful. She made me feel welcomed and taken care of, as though I was her only customer in the world and it was all about me. I was having a relatively bad day, but she sprinkled just the right amount of conversation to keep my spirits up. But, was also sensitive to my space and didn’t push too much chit chat on me.
My hair was PERFECT and she styled it JUST RIGHT. After living in NYC for a couple years and then returning back to Western MA, it was nice to see such a great price, too. $ 60 for the fix! So happy and will be back! :)

This place quickly found a special place in my heart. I’ve been to plenty of salons in Massachusetts, most of which are located in the trendiest parts of downtown Boston. None come close to my experience with In Vogue.
I came in feeling bummed, with boring and distressed hair. I walked out happy, with a shining new look. The staff is attentive and very down-​to-​earth. The clientele ranges from the more conservative «cut-​just-​an-​inch» type to the more daring «i-​want-​something-​different» type. Whoever you are, In Vogue will make you a happy girl (or boy).
My appointment was with Tara, who is the most fun, passionate and knowledgeable stylists I’ve ever worked with. When she talks to you, you can tell she’s very excited about what she does and that her heart goes into it 100%. I highly recommend her, though you’ll need to plan in advance to catch an appointment.
