Cold Stone Creamery

Cool place! I’ve never tried the Cold Stone before, but I was curious because I’ve heard their really good.
It’s a great location for Tahoe. It’s on the strip, and within walking distance of the casinos. The place was relatively clean, well maintained. The service was good.
I was a bit dissatisfied with the variety of flavors. I was able to find one of my favs (mint chocolate), but I remember going to a Baskin Robbins that had more selections.
Can’t really go wrong here if you just want some ice cream folks!

The manager was super helpful in creating a birthday cake in a short turn around. Called before the hour it was promised. Simply the best birthday cake we have ever had. Fed a group of 20 adults. Everyone raved about it!!!

We did not have a good experience at this Coldstone’s. It was packed and they were out of a lot of flavors. Don’t mind that too much– what I do mind is that both my Mom and I got «small» sized cones. Yet when I got mine– it was literally ¹⁄₃ the size of my mom’s. Since we both paid the same amount– I asked one of the staffers who said, «oh it depends on who makes your cone.»
Huh??? I dont think thats company policy. I am pretty sure ice cream stores have scoopers and standard sizes.
So basically I paid $ 3 for a couple of spoonfuls of ice cream?
I asked him to remake it for me in the standard small size. He did so– very unhappily.
The ice cream wasn’t even that good.
I wont be back.

Typical Coldstone — not a full menu to help you chose premade concoctions like in other stores.
The Agro-​Males were working that day and no one smiled! Is this a requirement for all Coldstones? (See my Livermore Coldstone review) Same no smiling, no How Ya Doin’? They need to get some Nordstrom Customer Service Classes up in here!
But my Like It — White Chocolate w/​Almonds, Caramel and Sprinkles was delish. But no as delish as hubby’s — Like It — Cake Batter w/​walnuts, kit kat! But he couldn’t eat all of it because it was to much cake batter.

After wandering around the Heavenly shops at around 10 pm, we noticed that only Coldstone was open and scurried in before they could turn off the lights. The ice cream was so-​so but the three stars is for letting us in even though they were officially closed.

Best part about ice cream at 19 degrees? You can take as long as you like, because it doesn’t melt.
And there’s an awesome triple fire-​pit next door at Fire & Ice, if you can sneak over there.

yes, she was craving for ice cream.
we walked out of Harvey’s in the cold trying hard not to step and slip due to rain puddles and ice. my friend and i were wondering «why isn’t anyone in the streets?» we continue our journey across the street to Cold Stones. we made to the creamery safe and sound but to our amazement, there was a line. i guess we weren’t the only one craving for ice cream on a cold night.
cookies & cream with oreos AND caramel in a LOVE IT size with a waffle cone !

after we finish our ice cream, we braved ourselves for the journey back to Harvey’s. we ALMOST walk all the way back to the casino without slipping and getting our shoes wet. EXCEPT we didn’t a see a BIG, WIDE, RAIN PUDDLE in front of the cross walk and stepped into it! our shoes and socks were soaked!
3 stars for cold stone because our socks got soak!!! *SHAKING FIST*
next time, I’m bringing my Uggs.
i guess the ice cream was worth it. :(

Dear Cold Stone,
I think you suck.
Your store is always dirty.
You don’t serve any dairy free ice cream. I am lactose intolerant. Your ice cream makes me sick. Sherbert? That’s lame.
You are nowhere near as cool as Amy’s Ice Cream in Austin, which I miss so very much.
You will never get my money.
