Ryan was a true professional. He contacted me immediately after my initial inquiry and arranged an appointment within my timeframe as we needed to prepare for a city property inspection. Ryan’s chimney inspection was quite thorough and uncovered code fixes required. He offered many different options that would help fix our chimney and firebox. He was able to return to our property quickly and begin work — well ahead of property inspections by the City. Without this, we would have to request multiple inspector visits at additional cost. Ryan’s knowledge of building code and his contacts with other local vendors to supply material was quite impressive. The chimney inspection fee was well within cost and reason and his level of service and communication is great. I recommend Firewise highly and will continue to use Ryan’s service for all future needs.

Ryan came today to inspect our fireplace/​stove because we are selling our house. He found a fire hazard that we had been unaware of for over 22 years. No other chimney cleaner had ever caught it. He took photos to show me. After considerable effort, he was able to fix the problem. He cleaned the firebox and chimney like they have never been cleaned before. He was extremely thorough and professional. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

I called Firewise late on a Monday and had a call back the very next day. Ryan was able to schedule a cleaning and inspection that Friday. He arrived on time, was friendly and very professional. Ryan is the best! We bought a condo and wanted make sure it’s safe to use the fireplace. Called Ryan who inspite of busy, long weekend showed up within an hour from my phone call to inspect our fireplace. He was right on time. His work was superb. I had a chimney in need of repairs and I was hoping to get it done before the roofers showed up. I needed caps repaired, bricks replaced, and mortar repointed. Ryan arranged his schedule to meet my needs and did a superb job. The chimney looked new when done and all the new mortar and brick work matched the old in every way. Highly recommended.

There is really something to be said for a guy who shows up on time, knows what he’s doing and charges a fair price. Firewise does all those things. We’ll use him again. You should too.

It can be difficult in South Lake Tahoe to get a contractor to 1) return your call; 2) show up when scheduled; 3) do a good job and 4) charge a fair price. Ryan from Firewise hit a grand slam! He was so knowledgeable and courteous. Did the work, gave us great advice, offered to return to help me move my woodstove and thanked me for the business! It just doesn’t get any better than that. If you need a chimney sweep, you would be foolish to hire anyone else.
