SOMANYBOOKS. Plan on spending some time here — because it’s like a treasure hunt. Each time I looked at a new shelf another title caught my eye. Great prices, huge & eclectic selection. Really glad we found this gem of a store.

I was back in Lake Tahoe, and visted this store. This is one of those stores I can never leave without spending money. His prices are great, and worse, he has EPHEMERA. That never looks good for my finances(I am only kidding :)). He has great stock. Old pulps? Dime store novels? Sheet music? Yearbooks? Bing crosby? Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, and… yes. He has it all. I hope this store stays in business, because you do not find many like him.

The only used bookstore we could find in Unilocal that was open on a Sunday. I walked out with 6 books so it was a success, for me at least.

This was a lovely little place. My family and I found everything we were looking for. From fantasy books and romance books. To animal books for our son. We will definitely be returning for some more books soon. The older Man, who I am assuming is the owner, was very kind and knew exactly where the books I was looking for were. He has a fantastic selection of not only books, but records as well. I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a good book or record to add to their collection.

Really cool place. Super quiet and laid back. Not intimidating at all. I only took a quick look at the records they had but they were decently priced and had a great selection. Awesome $ 1 bargain bin. Reminds me of the kind of place your old eccentric high school English lit teacher would run after retiring from teaching. Smells good too.

Not going to find any hard rock, metal, or punk here. Definitely an older rockabilly and country shop. I dug a long while and finally got something worth getting. If you gots time, come. Otherwise dont.

Keynote is a small but saturated store, filled to the brim with good vinyl finds and some great books as well. There’s a decent selection of vintage volumes in cabinets lining the back and some great art books near the front. The owner knows his stuff, and seems genuinely passionate about his wares. Make sure that you set aside a decent amount of time if you stop by, however– leave yourself a bit of a temporal margin for searching underneath the shelves and for browsing the discount boxes out front.

Hey everyone! There IS a bookstore in town. With Neighbor’s gone we no longer have a good source of new books, but Keynote offers a decent selection of used books and records. In a bigger city I would give this store 3 stars, as it is a wee overpriced(though still plenty affordable) with its paperbacks. I enjoy its selection, especially of hardcover fiction and history. There is also a sizable record collection here, though that isn’t my area so I can’t comment. My one gripe is that the staff(usually the owner, watching gymnastics on his computer) isn’t very attentive, and while I don’t want to be harassed(hello Neighbor’s) I would like to be greeted and perhaps asked every other visit or so if there is anything in particular for which I am searching.
