Missed it the first time through the store but if you go left instead of right when you come in there is an entire gf/health foods section!

Huge supermarket. They pretty much have everything you could possibly need for your stay in Tahoe: produce, snacks, alcohol, etc etc. There’s a fresh foods section as well with a salad bar, hot Chinese food bar, soup, sushi, deli, sandwiches made to-go and pre-made sandwiches/salads/meals. There’s a Peet’s inside as well. It’s a little more expensive than Safeway, but it won’t bankrupt your wallet like Whole Foods does.

Clean, easy to get to, reasonable prices, and a wide selection of goods and food. This is a great place to stock up instead of going to a restaurant.

Kudo’s to the employees having to work on Thanksgiving Day and being so nice. I would give 5 stars for the employees. BUT Giving 3 stars because of the lack of items in the Asian Aisle. We were staying across the street at Heavenly and were at this store every day. Twice a day couple of those days. Haha. Ok, I’ll bump it up back to 4 stars for their store hours and just being so close to the hotels. In addition to the convenience of being close to our hotel, and their store hours, they had snow gear! Bottom line, Raley’s please bring in a few more asian soup base and noodle products so we can make soup in our hotel rooms!

This supermarket is wonderful to shop at, though It’s only in Lake Tahoe, I hope it’s not limited to that city. Great prices, sandwiches feom their deli, etc. It would be nice to have one in Atascadero.

Raleys is your basic grocery store. Is there much here you wobt find anywhere else? Maybe more coupons from competing companies but other that nothing really that much different. Shop where you like, but I do this location only because it is convenient.

Like all big super markets, there is always the expected. This place is huge. What makes it different is the level of honest customer service I got from the manager of the store to the courtesy clerk. Fast and efficient. The shelves were full and stocked. The selection was awesome. Space make the difference. I found things I usually have to go to a couple places to find. Like ethnic foods. I was very please overall. Their fresh departments were top notch. Too bad they don’t put the name of the checkers on my receipts. I could have mentioned them with a thanks. Checker #xxxx doesn’t tell me much. I had fun shopping here.

Visited this shop several times while on holiday this August. Staff very helpful and friendly. They charge 10 cents for bags so BRINGYOUROWN! Very nice shop. Clean and tidy. Great sections for organics, GF and Vegan Prices are more than my whole foods in Los Angeles. Very convenient location to Marriott.

Scotty the butcher came from the back to assist me. He wore no gloves, had blood on his sore hands. He packed my bacon and then my ground beef without washing.

For the area, it is a decent grocery store… The place is clean. Prices are decent. They have a solid beer and wine selection. Location is great. We will go back without a doubt

As a local I will shop at Safeway or even Grocery Outlet before I step into a Raley’s. They are the priciest of all the grocery stores here in town. I just don’t understand the reason why, I know the unions are killing them but then Safeway has the same problem. I know grocery stores are lucky to make 1% profit but this chain doesn’t fall into that pathetic ratio. I know as a fact their profit margin is much higher. They have a well-stocked wine and liquor dept. but then anybody who buys booze at a grocery store is going to get ripped-off. Their meat dept. is so expensive that I can go to Overland Meats and get fresher, hand-cut meat cheaper there. Once in a while you can find a deal if you read the ads but in the long run Raley’s doesn’t give you any reason to shop there. Or do what the locals do, just go off the hill to Carson and shop at Wal-Mart.

Clean, well kept Raleys with nice staff. Raleys are always a little more pricey than similar stores, but I was pleased to see no more than elsewhere here … this and the two Safeways really could probably get away with gouging due to lack of options up here, but they keep their prices normal for California. The usual deli with all their usual stuff, but they have way more salad varieties than I’ve seen at other Raley’s. Also a sushi counter, a serve-yourself Chinese buffet island and an in-house Peets. I wanted Chinese but it wasn’t ready at 11:00 apparently :( Also has a Wells Fargo ATM and staffed counter inside.

Well stocked with the basics, the organic produce section could be beefed up but the basics are here. Decent deli section and a Peet’s Coffee that sells no beans by the pound– sorry go to isle one for that, lame for a coffee snob. Parking can be a drag if you snag a spot out front as the egress of vehicles won’t allow an easy departure.

Normally a grocery store would not be worth reviewing but this is the Worst organized grocery store Ever! I don’t understand… everything is in three different places. Beer, salad dressing, soup… if you are looking for a particular brand, you will probably have to keep looking for quite awhile! Three stars because the people who work here are really helpful and friendly. But this place is a maze… it is so confusing I believe the poor design must have been intentional.

This is a very big, very clean Raley’s, that has a good selection of goods, a Pete’s coffee and of course the drug store. This store is convenient, and like most Raley’s has a good selection of meats, and is very quick.

I love this Raley’s location. Very clean and easy to navigate. Large organic and health foods section. Also nice rewards program«something extra». Cash back and free groceries and lots of coupons. Nice and helpful employees, always striving to make your grocery shopping experience a pleasant one. Very good local souvenir selection as well as seasonal. Nice parking lot. Prices much less then WF.

Full sized grocery store with plenty of selection(it seems like). We didn’t do a full blown grocery trip here so no comment as to prices/selection of produce/milk/meat etc. We did find what we came for, which was booze plus random other stuff. Prices seemed fine on what we did buy. They had a nice selection of alcohol. Hey don’t judge. I was on vacation.

We always wind up doing our majority of shopping here. We stay up the street when we are in town, and we like the accessiblity. They have everything you can expect from a grocery store. What they recently added was a Peet’s coffee kiosk which also sold Blu bottle iced coffee in little milk cartons. If you can’t find what your looking for in Raley’s, your bound to find it in the shopping center which has everything else. Our one stop shop for our Family gatherings and BBq’s.

You can tell it’s a local grocer by some of the items being sold, but the differences otherwise aren’t so great. I thought the store was a little dirty(maybe just old) and not necessarily enough registers, not to mention the configuration for the registers is a little weird. Decent selection of everything and prices were about the same as other stores.

This is the only grocery store within walking distance of the Heavenly area of South Lake Tahoe. It isn’t cheap to buy groceries in the only vacation city in a secluded area of Lake Tahoe, but at least the store is clean and well stocked. They have a wonderful natural/organic foods section and the produce section is wonderful. The deli breads are great and the seafood selection is also very nice. My only complaint is the lack of service. There are usually only a couple of checkout lines, so the lines are really long. When someone wants to buy cigarettes, the cashier has to leave the register to go to another area of the store to get them. This has happened to me three times and it is annoying. They really need a separate customer service counter where people can buy their smokes.
