Now for my story…
I unfortunately did not think about searching for a Unilocal review before I booked our stripper «Donovan». I booked him for an hour ($ 200) and was told that he would bring his own music, lighting and games. I was very specific that we wanted a firefighter and I was assured that is what we would get. Now not only did we not get a firefighter we didn’t event get «Donovan». Instead in walks «Giovanni» as an extremely pathetic cowboy. First thing he says is that he needs his payment and it’s $ 20 extra if we want to take photos. Ok fine, whatever. There was absolutely no act to his costume, he literally played Nickelback as one of his songs and the games were nonexistant. We were trying to get him out the door after 20 minutes, I didn’t even care that I hadn’t gotten my moneys worth, he had to go.
He then proceeds to put his boot in the middle of the floor asking for tips. Ummmm I definitely tipped him in the original payment AND I gave everyone $ 50 worth of ones.
Sure, I was embarrassed that the entertainment I had planned was an epic fail, but it wasn’t until I started doing some research that I started to get pissed.
First thing I wanted to know is if the guys on the website actually existed (because on the one I used, Giovanni wasn’t even an option), so I did a few reverse image searches and it was crawling with other website names (see above) and Unilocal reviews. Each website had the same guy, the same claim to being voted number 1 and some even had the same phone number. The Unilocal reviews were all 1 stars, with stories that matched mine and under each one the owner goes on an immature rant about how each review is from a competitor trying to undermine his business and how Unilocal is shady and has a lawsuit and blah blah blah.
Also, if you go into the «not recommended reviews» on Unilocal you will fine his lame attempt to try and give himself raving reviews. All of these «satisfied customers» do not have a picture for their Unilocal profile, and have only ever written one review. Clever.

ZERO stars!!! So our bridal party definitely took the previous review in consideration! So we called this number requesting for a DONAVAN, and the guy said… Oh yes he’s available… Then called from a different a number and requested for same guy and STILL SAID HE’S available… SHADY BUSINESS! So do yourself and your friends a favor… DON’T CALL THIS SH*T HEAD «Chris»… Just trying to get over!

DON’T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU — OUR BACHELORETTE PARTY WAS RUINED. I was upset and disappointed that we used this company for our Bachelorette Party in South Lake Tahoe. We picked a hot guy, Donovan (middle guy with the tattoo on his right arm), off the website as our entertainment. Instead, a random not so hot guy showed up. I was thoroughly embarrassed that the Bride asked if this was a joke. This is a onetime shot of a special night and there is no second chance. Here is the disaster that happened when we used this company:
1. The guy was 1 hour late, he said he had a flat tire. We had to miss a few of our planned events to accommodate his tardiness.
2. When he finally showed up the guy was not the guy we picked and not hot, had a 5:00 shadow. The girls had been waiting for 1 hr so we decided to use him.
3. The guy was not dressed ‘professional’ nor ‘hot’. He was wearing just a t-​shirt, jeans, and fishing hat. His undergarment was a gray cotton regular underwear.
4. He was not prepared with games that professionals usually have.
5. He did not dance ‘professionally’. His moves were the same as we could have all done.
6. He only came with an ipod and small speakers that were last minutely purchased — came out of the box new. The music was so faint, you couldn’t hear it.
I was the one in charge of booking this and it made me look bad. It ruined everyone’s night and was written off as a ‘joke’. The guy that showed up was clearly a regular joe without training.
After many attempts to contact Michelle, the girl at the ‘Strippers in Tahoe’ I had been coordinating with, she told me she would call Donovan to see what happened. I mentioned that I wanted to give her a chance to communicate and let me know why the guy we picked didn’t show up before I posted a review. I told her she seemed nice and sincere and I just wanted to know what happened & wanted to know the truth. I tried many times to talk with Michelle, leaving voice messages and emails asking her to call me. After 13 days of her or the company not calling me, I am posting this review.
I’m not sure if they even have this guy on the website working for them or if it’s false advertising. Maybe the guy couldn’t make it and they tried to send a regular joe in his place (although he still called himself Donovan). We will never know because they would not communicate to me what happened. 13 days is ample time to figure out internally what went wrong. This company did not have the integrity of communicating to me within a week of why things did not work out — unprofessional in my opinion. I would not use them unless you want to have some regular joe with no talent show up.
