Love love love Starbucks as always!!! This one super close to me and super convenient in the morning before I go to work. Always clean and tidy and very quick with taking care of their line making mornings a little easier to deal with. I also have the app which makes a lot of things a little easier. Customer service is normally very good. Can’t say I have any complaints and will continue to go here as long as it’s open and right next to my apartment!

I’ve done the whole working at Starbucks thing at this location. Sometimes it works out, and sometimes I regret ever trying to work there. It[s a busy Starbucks since it is located right under the train platform. So every time a train is due to roll into the station, a hoard of people head into the coffee shop. When the train leaves, another hoard storm through the store to order their Café Americanos. During the afternoon commute hours, these riders are ravenous for White Chocolate Mochas and are often shout-talking into their cell phones… and I’m crying on the inside, unable to focus on whatever work I’m doing. The best time to go here would be early Sunday morning. It wouldn’t be too packed and it’s quiet and chill. With less customers there, the drinks come out better for sure. Also you’ll more likely be able to get a seat at this time. Mind you, seats are a hot commodity here(especially one by an outlet), so when you see one available, grab it fast!

Great staff and quality drinks. The baristas nail every one of my drinks. This is the only Starbucks in the area, so it gets pretty packed at times. Also is attached to the train station in the middle of town. Really convenient.

The staff that are present are great 90% of the time, but this has to be the most understaffed Starbucks I’ve ever been to. Time after time the line is out the door and one person is on register and one person is behind the bar even though they could easily double that. This is a busy train station location, it should be staffed as such. The line at this Starbucks moves only because people walk out before they get to the register.

I never have high expectations when I’m going to a location that’s about to close. I know folks are trying to get home. I get it, but I walked in about 30 min prior to closing time. A batista was in the café sweeping while her coworker was in the back engaged in some shut down duty that kept him off the floor. I had to ask if they were still open b4 someone acknowledged me. Then I ordered a Chai and had to ask for foam. It’s supposed to come with it. For $ 5 a drink, I don’t think a properly made drink and acknowledgment is alot to ask for.

I go to this Starbucks regularly and love the people. Today there was, what I assume was, a manager on the premises(I have never seen her before). She was giving one of the baristas a performance appraisal right at one of the tables and loud enough for all those around to hear what she was saying. I have been in the corporate world for 16 years and I mentioned that she might want to do that kind of review in private. She did not receive this well and was rude and rolled her eyes. Makes me wonder how she is at management level. I’ll always come back but am very disappointed in the interaction today.

Everything is good except how long it takes to get your drink. Slow slow slow. Allow yourself extra time.

You don’t need to Check In @ Starbucks. Although it’s been«an institution» in South Orange for the 15 years that I’ve lived here, I only recently started coming here for my morning ‘venti half caf iced coffee w/caramel’ fix. Little did I know about the weekday«coffee klatsch» that takes place on the cigarette strewn benches that adorn Sloan Street. I only wish that I had started socializing here, long ago.

What a great location for America’s least-sketchy coffee chain!(Or, at least in my opinion…) This Starbucks is under the train station in the heart of South Orange and is the perfect place for a cup of joe or your favorite blended beverage before you head to the city. There are tables scattered about which are either all empty or all full… funny how that happens. You may not always have the most enthusiastic barista, but the beverages are almost always made perfectly. Recommended.

Regular small town suburban Starbucks, located right under the train station in South Orange. Gives competition to Dunkin Donuts across the street. Staff is great even though the place gets crowded in the mornings and in the evenings in the summer. Drinks seem to be always made correctly and quickly. Best starbucks in the area, miles above the Starbucks in Millburn.

I hadn’t had Starbucks in years, but had to meet a friend here… I forgot how horrible their coffee was. They do have free wifi though.

Will never come here again. Barista made my order wrong and gave me much attitude AND rung me up wrong. Very disgusted and disappointed!

Most of the staff makes an effort. There is this really huge light skinned African American woman, who may be a shift manager, who is as rude as can be. She once gave me a wet lid and when I protested she informed me ‘Well my hands are wet’…‘SAYWHAT’ For whatever reason they also have lots of sales on bulk coffee. got an amazing dark roast 241… Luved that! I still pop in from time to time. Jessica is awesome and I like most of the staff.

This is a pretty standard Starbucks. It’s newly renovated with more seating and looks so much more modern. I was a little disappointed that they went from two coffee stations to one, it causes traffic jams with everyone trying to furnish their coffee. For the most part, the staff is friendly and attentive. I did have to ask one employee to put on gloves as he moved from the register to heating up my sandwich, he complied with no issue. But it is food service, not something you should forget. DONOT go to this location on Friday afternoons. The middle school kids swarm this location and make it unbearable. Why a 12 year old needs espresso on a Friday afternoon, I’ll never understand. But all in all, a good place to go.

Maybe I’m used to better Starbucks, or maybe I’m just a New Yorker? Let’s start with the pros: good coffee, great location, nicely renovated. Okay if you plan to sit down, meet a friend and have a bunch of time to spare. Cons: Although I’m sure they’re nice, the staff at this Starbucks is Painfully slow! Never ever ever ever(ever) try to get your coffee here in the morning UNLESS you have at least 15 minutes to spare, and there are less than three people in line. You will miss your train. The staff will NOT go any faster, or stop their internal socializing even if you politely let them know your train is leaving in three minutes, AND you’ve been standing there waiting for your already paid-for drink for 10 already. Even during morning rush, they talk and joke amongst themselves. Also, the milk/sugar tables are never filled, and always a mess. Small town yes, but with tons of city people who commute every day. Get it together already. My suggestion? Get your coffee at Cait & Abby’s next door.

The only Starbucks in all of the Oranges. I met up with a friend here to catch up on life. This was a great place to meet up. It’s a big café. Quiet atmosphere. Able to have a good communication with friends over coffee. The baristas were really nice. They were patient with me considering I am indecisive when it comes to ordering something. It’s a very clean Starbucks and open late.

This is my regular Starbucks. I am there most mornings during the week. They know what their regulars want and the order is on its way the minute they see you walk in the door. Most cashiers and baristas are super-friendly. The store is clean, and the staff is almost always efficient even at peak commuting and weekend times.

Average Starbucks location. A bit small and cramped, so not the greatest place to go for study or work. With so many cute places in South Orange village, I would prefer to go somewhere else. But Starbucks has the advantage of being open later than most of them.
