Excellent taste, healthy, fresh and worth it! Looking for something new for lunch and saw the sign. Thought we’d give it a try! We’ll be back. I had the spicy avocado & lime kale and grain bowl with grilled chicken! Yum!!! Husband had Adopted Luke burger. Thumbs up!

The burgers are good. There is a good variety of beef, turkey, chicken and vegetarian for sandwiches. There are also bowls. I am SUPER disappointed with the fries. EVERYSINGLETIME. It would be better if they just cut potatoes up and baked them. I’m not sure why they are always so small and burnt but they are! I only go when I have a free item on my app.

First time to a B Good. Service staff was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in assisting making food choices. The concept of local farms is encouraging and love the fresh preparation of made to order healthy alternatives. The food was tasty and presented well, I would recommend it to others. Would like to see less plastic waste and can I just say the # of track lights being used in a naturally lit space seems very ungreen, there is a head nearly every 6 «around the room. Less is more. Great experience none the less. Keep up the good work. Yum

I like to eat healthy and I like to eat out. I also have a very picky 2 year old. These factors pose a problem when we are trying to figure out where to dine out. The solution? B Good! The health nut in me loves that I have a large variety of choices – recently I have started following a Paleo based lifestyle, and BGood allows me to stay true to the eating plan while enjoying awesome food! The staff is young, but very helpful and friendly and we will be making this a go-to for our family!

Fresh? Liars. Lot’s of marketing very little follow through. Turkey burger was processed and frozen. Fries were not oven finished but cold and raw on inside. Don’t believe the hype.

This is our go-to place whenever we have to travel to the Seventh Circle of Hell(also known as the Maine Mall). The food here is excellent and we have yet to have a disappointing meal. I like the focus on locally grown veggies and farm-raised beef and chicken. I usually get a kale bowl with super grains when I go, but the burgers are excellent as well. The french fries are not as crispy as I would prefer, but they are full of flavor and clearly homemade. The menu can be a bit overwhelming at first, but you will get the hang of it on your second and third visits. Big thumbs up!

Don’t plan on ordering for delivery. They forget to make stuff and then our local delivery company brings us our food and someones lunch is ALWAYS forgotten. 2DineIn is not pleased with B. Good and neither is the company I work for. We will not be ordering from here again. This has happened to us 6 times. 6TIMES they have forgotten to make a meal that we paid for. So if you don’t want to go hungry then don’t order from here! B. Good you probably want to get your crap together and start paying better attention to what people order because I would assume we aren’t the only ones you forget meals for. Completely unreliable.

What a refreshing alternative! Health fast food! Choices, choices! Burgers, veggie burgers, Kale and grain bowls or salads? Trying to cut down on breads so I chose a lovely Avocado and Citrus salad with grilled chicken on top. The greens were boston lettuce and escarole, fresh and well drained. Chicken was moist and cooked through. The avocado was perfectly ripe and buttery and the citrus was freshly peeled and cut. The dressing did not overpower the vegetables which were served in a large shallow bowl(which was not disposable! Yeah). The dining room had a mix of seating options. My middle-school niece loved sitting at the high-tops. She enjoyed her kids meal with the homemade applesauce and broccoli sides served with the burger. We loved the baked fries! yummy. This is high quality fast-food. We will be back!

After leaving the mall, I thought that the name was interesting and decided to give it a shot. With my first steps in the door, it seemed a little bit overwhelming. They had nice tables, a nice fountain, condiments, and a pretty good menu selection to choose from. They have bowls, salads, burgers & sandwiches, smoothies, milkshakes, and sides. After deliberating for a few minutes, I ended up ordering a spicy avocado & lime bowl with quinoa for my mom with fries, and I got the burger with egg, avocado, and sweet potato fries. While I was waiting for my food, I was trying the different drinks that they had. I have never heard of Maine Root being from the west coast so I tried everything. The drinks had a different taste compared to their commercial equivalent, but I liked it. Their Sir Kensington ketchup also tasted different that other ketchups I have had, but I also liked it. I was impressed even before the food hit the table. The portion sizes were actually pretty decent, especially in the bowl. I was pretty good after eating my sandwich, but my mom didn’t want her food, so I had to finish it for her. I was getting full at the very end of the bowl even though it was mostly vegetables and quinoa. The amount of fries that they gave us were enormous. I didn’t complain one bit. I love sweet potato fries and they were cooked really well, nice and crispy. I loved my meal in its entirely and would love for a place like this to be in Las Vegas. Although it won’t happen, I guess I’m going to have to wait for the next trip to New England.

The food here is great and all local grown. I got a buffalo burger, which is something just about every restaurant has but rarely do they deliver. This place really delivered. I’m ready to crown it the best burger I have had in the portland area. Their fountain has locally sourced drinks even. This is an awesome, family friendly, locally sourced restaurant and I wouldn’t hesitate recommending it to anybody.

We were happy to discover a restaurant in the mall area with healthy food, an interesting menu, and plenty of parking. You order at the front counter from a large menu posted on the wall, and staff delivers your food. We both had kale & grain bowls — I had spicy avocado and lime, dh had curry & grilled avocado. We both enjoyed our bowls, each with distinct, different mix of flavors. At first we thought the $ 9.95 price was steep, but we both had enough leftover to take home and make a full lunch the next day. They have Maine Root on tap, including the famous root beer(mentioned as missing by an earlier poster), as well as a very good unsweetened ice tea(yeah, even in Dec!). Few minor points — the temperature of ingredients in the bowls and the sweet potato fries were off. The bowls oddly had both warm and cold ingredients. Hard to discern which items were at what temp, but kale tasted warm, while quinoa, corn, beans tasted cold. We’re still not sure if the bowls are supposed to be a hot entrée or cold salad type entrée. The fries, although nicely seasoned, were very cold. We’ll definitely be back, I want to try the veggie burger and maybe some homemade soup.

What a great surprise to walk into this place and find that they fill the void on healthy alternatives around the mall area. The restaurant was clean, well kept and definitely had the feeling of local all over plastered on walls, on drink fountains and all other cracks and crevices you might find here. I had not been to the one in the Old Port so I was unaware of what I was missing but I now will be back … Numerous times. The employees were super friendly and were there to answer any questions about the local products and the unique mixes for their salad bowls and kale bowls. I had the citrus avocado salad with grilled chicken and let me tell you, I loved every stinking morsel of it. It was light and refreshing and hit the spot for something that doesn’t sit in your belly the rest of the day like a load of bricks. The great part was the ice cream scoop of fresh goat cheese sitting in the middle of the salad CAPITALYUMMO! At the table we tried some of the 4 bean chili that was amazing with the black beans stealing the show topped off with sour cream and some fresh grated cheese over the top. My other friend at the table had the turkey burger with a jalapeño slaw on it that he could not stop raving about. He also had a fresh and delicious cup of lemonade with a hint of rosemary in it that he loved also. With this being a replacement for the previous establishment that was here is definitely a step up and the people really seem like they care about giving good food, at good prices, with good service! I cannot wait to be back for more.

I have never been to the b. good in the Old Port. Despite numerous people telling me I should really go because I’d appreciate the baked fries, focus on local growers, and plentiful vegetarian options, I couldn’t bring myself to do it… what can I say? Parking in the Old Port during lunch is too scary. Fast forward to b. good announcing they were taking over the former Gourmaine space and my ears perked up. A bit further of a drive(just by like minutes), sure… but a parking lot. Count. Me. In. The first time I went it was a Tuesday afternoon around 1pm. There were only a handful of people eating in the restaurant and I was greeted warmly by a girl at the cash register. She let me take my time as I read and reread their menu(there was a lot to visually digest since I don’t usually have quite so many vegetarian options to chose from!). I settled on the«Curry & Grilled Avocado» Kale & Grain Bowl(featuring kale, sautéed veggies, cauliflower, roasted red pepper, peas, almonds, spicy curry, mint-yogurt sauce). As I waited for my salad, I poked around the smallish restaurant. There are high tops, booths, and lounge chairs to sit in. There’s fresh mint being grown by the cash registers. The open kitchen allows you to follow the making of your meal from start to finish(and, c’mon, how cute is the farmers’ market-esque f&v stand?). It’s a very mellow, inviting space. When my salad was ready the guy who made it called my name like we were old friends, «Hey, Steff, how are ya? Your salad’s finished. Did you want me to include a fork today?» My salad was about $ 10.50, which I thought was pretty steep for lunch but then I remembered that I have no problem dropping the same amount on one gourmet potato donut, one egg sandwich, and one coffee at another local establishment. And while that’s satisfying in a comfort food sort of way, the b. good kale and grain bowls are satisfying(nay, satiating) in an entirely different way. The«I want to eat well for my body and the planet, but I’m also a fatty who likes a lot of really good food and doesn’t like to spend a lot of money for said really good food» way. Or the«this is the perfect meal for post-yoga» way. It was hearty, it was tremendously filling, each ingredient was portioned well, and it was abundantly flavorful. Proof that vegetarians really do eat fabulously. Anyway, I was sad when I had finished it. That being said, I can’t wait to try the rest of the Kale & Grain bowls(or have a «junk food» night with my s.o. where we can get vegan burgers, fries, and milkshakes!)! I’ve been back a couple times now — always having a great experience — and seem to be hooked on the Curry & Grilled Avo bowl with super grains, though. Nom nom nom!

Great new B. Good location! If you haven’t yet, download the app for your phone. I did and it automatically gave me a free kale and quinoa bowl. The app is very user friendly and easy to use. I was skeptical about the kale and quinoa bowl, but all of the options sound really delicious. I chose the apple and bacon quinoa bowl and it was excellent. It comes with sliced apples, sliced avocados, thick chunks of bacon that was really more like pork belly, pomegranate seeds, cranberries, kale, and quinoa. They are normally $ 9.59, a little pricey but it did taste very good. I would order this again and pay full price. In fact, I think that most of the items are on the pricey side. I do like that most of the ingredients at B. Good are from«local-ish»(scattered around the Northeast) farmers, not enough to pay premium for it all the time though. I also had a free hand cut fries on my loyalty card, so I got them as well!(See it pays to have the loyalty card!). They were surprisingly great re-heated the next day! My friend got a burger and fries. The burger was a little on the small side and again pricey, but tasted great(or so I heard). They do have a Maine Root soda machine, HOWEVER they do not have Maine Root Ginger Beer! Come on guys this is their best flavor and you don’t have it. The space is nice, they have a few tables with comfortable padded chairs which I was lucky enough to score on this visit. They have a shared parking lot with other businesses with extra space in the back to park. Big plus because I can’t tell you how frustrating parking in the downtown/old port area is becoming for me.

I’ve always been a fan of the Old Port location, but the parking and inconvenience is a nightmare. So this is a welcome addition to the Mall area. Parking is a breeze, and the restaurant is large, open and modern. Of the B. Good/Elevation Burger/Five Guys trifecta that reside in Sopo and the Old Port, I prefer B.Good. The food is less greasy, tastes fresher, and doesn’t leave you comatose after. For first timers… B. Good is an upscale fast-casual burger joint. The emphasis is on local and fresh, and basically all of the ingredients are from New England. There are numerous choices of burgers, chicken sandwiches, veggie and turkey burgers, salads, shakes and smoothies. The regular and sweet potato fries are baked instead of fried. They aren’t as delicious as the heart attack fries from the rivals, but they’re still good and much healthier. The sodas/lemonades are all local, and there are even local beers on draught(and I believe wine too). Prices are slightly higher than the rivals. Think $ 7 for a burger and $ 3 for fries. It’s comparable to a Panera/Chipotle as opposed to Burger King. B.Good opened last week so service was still working out kinks on my first visit, but was smooth on my second. All employees were friendly and professional. Best of all, the B. Good phone app sends free food every few weeks. It’s a great way to try new items on the menu. I’ll be a regular for sure.

I’m a big fan. How does one bake fries and have them come out crispy and just a tad burned and tasty? I don’t know, but you won’t miss the frying oil. The burgers have a great smokey grill flavor and yet the open kitchen doesn’t create a smokey atmosphere. The kale and quinoa bowls are flavorful and the sides of veggies delightfully crunchy. This location is a very welcome addition to South Portland. The space is large and inviting. There are multiple seating options from hi-tops, to window counter seats and comfy laid back chairs. When you walk in you can check out the board to see where in New England and Maine your food is being sourced. You’ll also see grow lights with herbs growing under them. The smoothie bar has dairy free options and tons of fresh produce. We were delighted to see our first Maine Root soda fountain, but I always choose the Rosemary Lemonade. They are thoughtful in providing the malt vinegar, hot sauce and other condiments. I love the laid back atmosphere and the casual attentiveness and professionalism of the staff. The kitchen Expeditor even came around to check in on how our food was while doing a quick clean up even though there was a constant stream of people coming and going. Each crew member was busy and helping out at multiple locations without a pause in service.
