Fabulous! Such great smells coming from this building. We entered to A great selection of pastries and helpful people. We are from out of state and didn’t know what the pastries were but workers explained and were so nice to us. Great prices and such delicious food!!! Loved the conchas straight from the oven.

Best panaderia(Mexican bakery) in the Bay Area hands down. Everything is fresh, tasty and authentic. It’s so good that I can’t eat pan dulce from anywhere else. The staff is super nice and helpful too.

Excellent Mexican pastries! Came here one late night with hubby and got a few freshly baked conchas! I was told they bake them fresh every 15 minutes. The concha taste much like pan de sal topped with polvoron. My family loves it!

Hands down my favorite bakery of all south city. Probably should extend that to all of the bay area. Everything is fresh and super cheap. Everything is soooo delicious. They are the reason I can never stuck to a diet. My husband knows my favorites are the conchas and the Chocolate chip cookies. He brings them home at least 3 times, if not more a week. They are so yummy I can never say no. One of the reasons I will not move back to Florida is because I could never have conchas like these over there.

The bakery is fresh, delicious, and cheap! However, I did not know what any of the items were as there were not signs identifying them. You get what you want off of the bakery trays. Definitely worth checking out!

I was looking for a rosca de reyes and was told this bakery was a good place to go to. I pre-ordered a small one good enough for a small family of 5 – 6 and a great price! It was busy but they are quick and everyone was very friendly! The bread was delicious!

Stumbled upon this gem of a bakery soon after moving to San Bruno. Our new home was being remodeled & I wanted to get coffee & treats for our crew. Knowing that conchas & churros were favorites, I went looking. Not only have all bakery items been well consumed but the coffee is a favorite as well. And I love everything I’ve sampled. Too much temptation! The staff is wonderful, friendly, welcoming & helpful always. As our remodel draws to a close, I know that we’ll still be looking for reasons to head to Las Hijas Del Gallo Bakery. They are simply the best!

Nice girls at the register. I think selection depends on what time of day you visit. Yummy, fresh, Mexican pastries. My favorite items are chocolate croissants & the pink pastries. Fun and inexpensive.

This is the BEST bakery ever! Margarita and her crew are gems… and here is why… The company I work for puts on an event every year, and this year we were in need of Gingerbread Cookies. After some planning and brainstorming, we ended up going with the molasses cookies, which were delicious! Margarita and her crew came through with flying colors! They were not only attentive to our needs, but were willing to go above and beyond to make this order the best ever. The presentation was awesome and the cookies were the talk of the town! We have been coming back ever since to enjoy the many fresh baked goods on a regular basis… one of our absolute favorites: Cream cheese and Jalapeño filled bread… drool drool! :) Thanks again for an amazing experience!

Yes! Best conchas around. Freshly baked and ready for the pluckin. It’s cheap and straight forward, all the bread is fresh on baking sheets and are made throughout the day. I had to stop making this place my morning pit stop cause I was gaining weight. But whenever I have room for a little cheat I’ll come here for some hot concha with a cinnamon caffecito. Que Rico!

This place is like Heaven in calorie form. The pastries are FRESH all day. Baking all day. You pick them off the hot from the oven trays and best to devour immediately. The price is so cheap you’ll say«wait… Really?!» When they ring you up. My only true regret in life is that I lived in South city for a year before discovering this place. Wasted time. Time I could have spent working on saying goodbye to my size 8’s happily.

I’ve never been a fan of conchas. Not until today, when I ate one that was still warm from the oven at Las hijas del Gallo. Yum! They also have delicious café de la olla.

With the visible sign reading«Las Hijas Del Gallo» outside, this place looks a little sketchy from the outside. A large reception desk and two glass cabinets with scant bread on it visible from the door wasn’t really what I wanted to see when i was on a mission for lots of pan dulce, but this place didn’t disappoint. Behind the reception desk there are trays and tongs, and you can walk on the left side to the bakers racks lining the left wall. Each of these is full of warm, aromatic, tasty bread beckoning to be taken home. I recommend the conchas, or sea shells, which are BEST warm and fresh. The rest are good, but the conchas were the clear winner at the party. Amazingly, thirty something pieces of bread were only $ 12. I’ll have to come back to try the cakes and the like next time, oh yeah, and to pick up some more warm conchas.

6 sizable pastries for only $ 1.75 is a total splurge! Who wouldn’t be a fan? My sister and I came in close to closing so there wasn’t much of a variety of pastries to choose from; so we’ll definitely be back during the day. It made me feel somewhat uneasy that you’re supposed to place your pastries/bread on a bare lunch tray – no tissue/wax paper. Who knows where people’s hands have been… but that’s just the germaphobe in me speaking. Other than that, our selections were tasty!
