Well, despite having made two appointments I have yet to actually see this enigmatic Doctor Luna. When I had to switch primaries his office seemed to be the most logical, it was close to home and work and his hours were reasonable. The first appointment I made was after my brother moved into a new apartment. Everyone who had helped him move in had started to get a rash(gross, no need for details). I went to the emergency room over the weekend, got a prescription, and after calling member services got a hold of the doctor who said it would be okay if I squeezed in a short appointment for a refill before a Tuesday flight to visit friends in L.A. The office manager refused to let me see Dr. Luna and refused to tell him I was present on the grounds that she hadn’t made the appointment. The second time I made an appointment was for my insomnia, which had began acting up. The earliest appointment was three weeks away. After having two sleepless nights in a row, I was more than a little loopy the day of the appointment. So, in part it was my fault for leaving my photo ID at home. She refused to let me see doctor till I was in tears and was more then a little rude about it. Then she recommended that I go to emergency. The nearest emergency room was a three hour bus ride away. I opted for home, two over the counter sleeping pills, and some medical marijuana. I finally took a three hour nap and filed a complaint. Maybe I should thank her, speaking to her was the most exhausting thing my body had gone through in the last three days.
