Pleasantly surprised after hearing some so-so reviews. Singapore noodles probably the best I’ve had. Tons of shrimp. Sparerib special was really good. Definitely will come back to try more!

Tonight makes the third time Ng’s decided to close 30+ minutes early. Either change your hours on Unilocal or STOPCLOSINGEARLY! Bad for business.

Ehhh Nothing to write home about. Nice décor! The food is too salty and the taste was just not up to par. It is flipina mall so maybe it is catering different taste buds. I won’t be back.

This place is VERY underrated! We ordered the beef chow fun thick noodle, and it’s VERY well prepared, better than most other places. Enough flavors to go around that I didn’t think about adding my own hot sauce. The noodle also isn’t overcooked, too soft, or stick together, but just right. We also ordered the cold noodle and requested mild, and it was JUSTRIGHT. they put a LOT of shrimps and the whole thing is very flavorful and unique. Good service and the price is reasonable. Very interesting decorations, reminds me of ancient China with swords hanging on the wall. Will be back to try other dishes. Two for two so far.

It’s so strange for me to like an Americanized Chinese joint. I’ve previously dined at the restaurant a year ago and I wasn’t too crazy about it. As a matter of fact, I haven’t ever stepped foot in there again. After rejecting the suggestions by my co-workers to order deliveries from there, I eventually gave in. From then, I couldn’t stop! They are always on time or early with their orders which I appreciate. The one thing that we all like about Ng’s is that they take directions very well! Whether it is an order over the phone, or through Unilocal and Eat24, they do everything as we say. We have some really picky eaters, including myself. I typically order their Beef Chow Fun. The first order, however, I thought there was too much beef and too little Chow Fun. When I revised it with the comments in my next order, it came back perfect. My co-workers do the same thing and customize it to their likings. I should add that this 4 Star ratings is strictly on take our/delivery orders with the expectations of a typical Chinese take-out restaurants.

Ive only ordered take-out, so I can’t speak for the full experience, but the food is actually pretty OK. I’m not eating here for authentic Chinese food, but the usual American dishes satisfy my cravings. Not much on the menu is healthy, and so I feel it the next day. There is nothing nice about this shopping center. None of the restaurants are any better than here. Also know that parking is a pain.

This Chinese place is such a great addition to westborough square with its modern design and assortment of Chinese dishes! My only problem with this place is that a lot of the dishes taste like they are sauteed in the same broth – in particular the beef and chicken dishes! Besides that, I do suggest their steak cubes with mixed mushrooms(lots of great mushrooms with textures), egg drop soup(double yum), and the seafood pan fried or chow mein!!! Those are usually my go tos and they are always cooked to perfection – but a lot of the dishes are not bad, but again a lot taste the same. The overall ambiance of the place is cool and modern and I love the pillows on the sides! I also love how they play warrior games and their waiters are super nice and accommodating!!! Huge kudos for their great spicy sauce(upon request) and their flavored fortune cookies!!!

This is a 2.5 star restaurant rounded down for the poor service and cleanliness of the restaurant. No one likes to be eating and see the waitress sweep food from the floor onto your side and the dust is flying everywhere. The table next to us had kids who threw food on the floor and the waitress just sweeped it around to our table. Very messy. The walnut prawns had too much batter and a lot of mayonnaise with celery mixed in. Very weird combination for walnut prawns since its suppose to be sweet, not just mayonnaise piled on. The side vegetables were covered in sour vinegar, so I couldn’t finish my bento box. Worst decision to come here and eat.

This place was great! We LOVE the popular, San Tungs, and have not been able to find dishes that compare… Until NGSCOOKING! Food is GREAT! The service was nice, ordered over the phone and picked up, very quickly and perfect! Also bonus, spent over $ 30(I think that’s the minimum…) and got free pot stickers! The Honey Walnut Prawns were a very nice serving, sometimes other places don’t give you much… However, these prawns were huge and perfectly coated and the walnuts always yummy! We also tried the Mongolian Beef, which was spicy, but so yummy! And General Tao’s Chicken, nice and yummy. And boyfriend wanted to try the peppered fried rice and that was great as well! Safe to say this will be our«go to» Chinese food place! Especially considering its right down the street!

Ng’s Cooking is a decent Chinese food option on Eat24 if you’re in the peninsula. Deliveries have been on time and the food has been good enough to satisfy my Chinese food cravings. Honestly, the main reason I tried them out in the first place was because I had a mad craving for General Tso’s Chicken after watching the«Searching For General Tso» documentary on Netflix and Ng’s Cooking was the first spot that popped up on my Eat24 search. General Tso’s Chicken – They did a great job with their General Tso’s Chicken. Nicely fried up and glazed with the General’s sauce, and it had a light spicy kick. Some pieces were just fried up batter only though without any meat, but there only a few of those. Here’s what else I’ve had from them: Minced Garlic Pork Belly w/cucumber and spicy chili oil – I guess I should’ve done more research about this because I didn’t realize this was a cold dish. It’s was okay, but I think the surprise of it being cold threw me off. They do give you a nice portion size for an appetizer. Home Style Pot Stickers – Pot Stickers are pretty standard. Nothing much else to say about them. Steak Cube and Prawns in Chef’s Secret Sauce — short rib beef, shrimp, asparagus, red pepper, white mushroom – This is one of their specialty dishes and I thought it was pretty good! It’s a great ‘surf n’ turf’ dish to have as a main entrée and as you can see from the picture it’s loaded with plenty of steak cubes and prawns. Service has been great from them so far in terms of calling and order correction. I really appreciated them calling me to confirm my order and there was also one time when they accidentally received a duplicate order from me and they called me right away to correct it. That’s just awesome service! I haven’t yet been able to visit their restaurant but I’ll probably stop by some day. The place looks really nice and clean from the pics I’ve seen and it would definitely be nice to try their food fresh from the kitchen instead of delivery. Overall, not a bad choice on Eat24 if you’re craving some Chinese food.

Lunch specials at Chinese restaurants can go bad really quick. But I have yet to disappointed at Ng’s. My boyfriend and I got the fresh mango beef and shredded pork with garlic sauce. Both were heavenly. The sweet and sour soup that comes with the lunch specials is great too. For 6.50, it’s great value for money. Hot tea is complimentary but you have to ask for it. Typical of Chinese restaurants, the service is brief and to-the-point. My only point of contention is their Shanghai Dumplings, which were below par. Other than that, we will definitely be back! Oh yes, the strawberry and chocolate fortune cookies are awesome too.

I ordered for delivery. I ordered chicken chow mein, chicken fried rice, shrimp walnut prawns and sweet and sour pork. Everything was delicious but the sweet and sour pork was a bit tough to eat. Very hard and little dry. Other than that everything was worth it. I am pretty disappointed in the process of payment. I asked as I ordered over the phone if I can pay with credit card when they deliver my food, lady said yes. They came and they were having trouble with their phone and couldnt take my card. They asked if i can just do cash. Which I didnt have. I had to give my card number over the phone. The process took about 10 – 15 minutes. I was reading other reviews and it seems like this has happened before. Food was good but please fix this problem! Its quite annoying.

So far I’ve not been wowed by this new shopping center. The parking is very challenging, and the shops/restaurants I’ve visited have been underwhelming. The location is on my way to or from someplace so often, though, that I refuse to give up on it. The phở place always seemed packed, so I haven’t ventured in yet. Still wanting Vietnamese food, I decided on Ng’s; doesn’t that seem as though it would be Vietnamese? Well it’s not; it’s Chinese. Is it a reincarnation of the old Ng’s kitchen on Geneva? The menu is long, and somewhat confusing. At lunch time they offer a «bento box». I thought this would lead to some sort of Asian fusion, but that just meant it was served in a bento box. It’s $ 10 for that with several interesting sounding entrée selections. At 1:15, when I arrived, it was about 35% full, and half of those patrons looked Chinese(usually a marker for authenticity). I ordered the salt and pepper shrimp with asparagus. Looking at one of their older menus, I think it used to be called just salt and pepper shrimp. I like having the veg, but suspect it was added to make the portion look bigger. Their cook knows how to fry! Some chefs do and some don’t. Judging by the large number of deep fried offerings, they intend to take full advantage of the skill. The hot and sour soup starter was just okay. I liked that it wasn’t artificially thickened, as is so often the case. The flavor was a little weak. The bento is described as having 2 sides. In this case they were marinated bean sprouts and marinated broccoli and carrots. I like just about any pickley thing, so enjoyed both of these, but a little too heavy handed on the chopped raw garlic. The potsticker and vegetable spring roll were forgettable(as they almost always are), having a little hot mustard, hot pepper oil, soy sauce or something I could put together a dipping sauce with would be nice. I quite liked the main course. Both the asparagus and the shrimp were cooked just right, and the breading was light(almost like tempura batter) and very crisp. It was not identifiable to me as Chinese food, though. If I’d been served the same lunch without the clichés(spring roll, potsticker, hot and sour soup) in a neutral setting, it would not cry out Chinese. It was a bit too salty, and had me drinking lots of water the rest of the day. The service was pleasant and adequate. It’s not a destination for me, but I’ll go back when it’s convenient.

Well, I live in the area and decided to checkout NG’s. Since it’s the only Chinese restaurant since Paradise in the area. Granted it was Friday night and I expected a little wait, but not 1 hour for 2 orders of chow mien! Ordered 7:00 told to come back in 20 minutes, came back in 35 minutes, while sitting and waiting I heard the word sorry to several customers at least a dozen times. Well at 8:10 I received my order. I’m usually pretty patient and might of been a bad night for restaurant, so I decided to not worry about it. The chow mien was a bit greasy and pretty much slapped together, don’t know if I will go back. Maybe if someone treats me or have a lot of spare time I might give another try.

I don’t really know why people have been rating this place so low. Maybe because I’m not Chinese so I «wouldn’t know authentic Chinese food» or something of that sort. It’s not my problem. Everyone’s allowed to have an opinion. I guess mine just happens to be in favor of this restaurant. Caught this place when business was slow. Thank the food powers that be. The space itself is pretty small but clean and nicely decorated. I brought my mom so we only ordered 3 dishes and even that was too much. So whenever I go to a Chinese restaurant I ALWAYS order the walnuts with shrimp. In my mind, if this is inedible so is everything else on the menu then I make the decision to not return. However I have got to say, I have never had better walnuts with shrimp than here! Huge prawns fried to perfection cause you could feel and hear the crunch when you bit into it. I couldn’t stop raving about it. We also ordered the house combo fried rice which we both loved. My mom said she liked it cause it didn’t feel too heavy on her stomach. It was light tasting(as light as fried rice could be anyways). We also got the honey fried wings and that was bomb too! So good that we ordered wings to go as well. I wouldn’t really say they were spicy though. The honey definitely cools it down. Plus the skin is super crispy. Always a good sign. Our waitress never cracked a smile, super monotone and didn’t really look us in the eye. But she was never rude and did her job so that’s the least any patron could ask for. Overall, I would definitely come back! Maybe during a busier time I could possibly have a different experience, but I’m hoping I don’t.

2.5 stars Hmmm pass on this restaurant if you are in the area, sadly high hopes for this restaurant passing by sampling the new businesses that have opened up in the new fancy westborough area. I sampled the chicken wings and the lunch special which was steak and prawns with fried rice and diced asparagus with small white mushrooms. Let me break down each dish. The chicken wings — deep fried, excellent crunch, tender succulent meat on inside, sadly the flavor was missing no sauce offered on the side nor was the wings glazed or peppered with anything. No soy sauce offered, no siracha, no pepper or salt? If the wings were seasoned this dish would be perfect, sadly deep fried chicken with no seasoning is a no go! The lunch special steak n prawn with fried rice diced asparagus small white mushrooms. This this was exceptional, steak was tender 4 slight decent slabs if cut in two makes the meat stretch out more, pairing of fried rice that sucked up the slight salty n peppered sauce with asparagus n white mushroom was delicious, the prawns were decently sized and had a snap to them when biting down, I would order this dish again. The chicken wings sadly made a first impression which kinda put a staple on this restaurant for me =( Food — *** steak n prawns lunch special was delicious, negative stars for no flavor, stay away from the chicken wings Price $ Service*** the waitresses kinda don’t look up to check if you need a refill, or anything else, only when you get the check they offer a refill of water, shrugs! Ambiance *** clean, open, slightly loud

Going into Ng’s Cooking, I didn’t have high expectations with all the unsatisfactory reviews. We were actually going to go to Bonchon Chicken during their soft opening, but was turned away as they were still working things out. We wanted to try each place in the new Westborough Plaza at least once, so we decided to stop by Ng’s and I was pleasantly surprised. Their servers were nice, the menu was extensive, the place was clean, but the prices are a tad high. Everyone in my group picked a random dish we were craving and ended up with spicy eggplant, sesame chicken, beef and mushrooms and HK pan fried noodles. The food came out quickly and was delicious. The pan fried noodles were a tad salty and the sesame chicken were fried chicken breast slices. I think if they cut the chicken up to chunks the sesame would taste more moist instead of overly crispy bits. The portions were decent size as we had leftovers, but we ended up paying 15 each among the 3 of us for 3 entrees and noodles. Overall 3.5 stars, I would come back again for pretty good quality ingredients. But if I want cheap Chinese food to hit the spot I have other places in mind.
