S P Teri

I love Sp Teri! If you have a question, they will answer it. The people that work at SP Teri are very friendly and kind. Even though it can be pricey for skates and other items, they are great quality and useful! I have landed many ice skating jumps ever since I switched from Jackson to SP Teri! When I first went and took my shoes off, they noticed immediately that I would need custom skates. They went on and on about how my feet were getting wider because I was wearing the jackson stock boots. They informed me with a ton of information! I knew so much about the boots that they produced and I knew a lot about the blades. All in all, SP Teri is a wonderful company!

I recently took up ice skating as a hobby this year. I have always had a problem finding shoes that fit me thanks to the hobbit feet I’ve inherited (thanks dad), so finding figure skates that fit me was just as big a task as throwing the One Ring into Mount Doom. I wasted time and money on ill fitting department store skates that just weren’t wide enough so on the recommendation of my coach I decided to pay a visit to the S P Teri shop.
George did my fitting and I have nothing but kind words for him. He takes the time to really make sure you walk away with boots that fit you well, and with blades that are perfectly mounted. Also he’s just a really nice person! I’m only a beginner skater, but George was so enthusiastic about my future lessons with my new skates that I walked out with new found enthusiasm to get back on the ice.
The first pair of skates I got did not completely work out (thanks hobbit feet) which was caught during the adjustment appointment, so a new pair was made. I believe that order was rushed since the new pair was ready in 2 weeks. When I got to break in my skates it was like skating on butter! I didn’t think it was possible to have such comfortable ice skates, and I couldn’t believe the difference it made in my skating.
I can’t recommend SP Teri enough — the customer service, people and skates are amazing!

George really makes you feel like a valued customer, in addition to having so much experience with the craft of these skates and having done custom ice skate boot fittings for years. I’ve gotten two pairs of ice skates from this shop that have worked out so well and lasted well.
George really has an eye for detail, and it shows through every step of the process. His son works with him crafting these custom ice skating boots, who was incredibly friendly and service-​oriented during my purchase. These are craftspeople who are not only really good at what they do, but also seem to truly care about you and your experience, hoping you’ll have a quality product for many years almost more than you.
I’ve never had to take my skates in for repairs or adjustments, but it’s still nice to know that if I have concerns or require adjustments for my skating, that George will help.

SP-​Teri is a true «Made in America» manufacturer for making ice skates. George and his team has done a great job over the years. And my sister always come back for adjustments and new ice gear.

Sp Teri skates are great skates. George and his team are so knowledgeable and helpful. I am so grateful that I am able to meet with them in person to make sure my skates are just right for my feet. To sum it up… great people & great skates… I definitely highly recommend Sp Teri.

Yes… This is MUCH better than my old skates. My jumps are higher and my feet don’t get swollen anymore. I don’t feel like falling when I’m going moderately fast on edges. Then again, it’s like upgrading from a Toyota Corolla to a Mercedes.

I was impressed at how far they have come in their boot designs. Their business also had sort of a family feel to it. Although I had my heart set on getting a different boot made by another company, upon visiting this store I felt differently. One advantage is that the company is close to home and they do make a sturdy boot, and now in comfortable designs.

George (the owner) is simply the best. Will build a custom skate to specs and if it is not right, will fix it! If problems arise, he will do his best to try to get you back and skating again! Can’t say enough good things about SP Teri!

Pro shop gets 4 stars. It’s not huge, but it’s got lots of figure skating goodies when a lot of pro shops are hockey-​oriented. Want a pair of those cool plastic guards that light up when you step on them? They’ve also got a case of ice skating collectibles, some new, some vintage.
But the real story is their skates. If you can afford a pair, you’ll get fitted by a very thorough and genuinely nice guy, George Spiteri. Their skates are world-​class. Of course, Harlick is just a short hop down the peninsula so we’re really sitting pretty in the Bay Area.
