Great sandwich shop in Southhampton, PA. We ordered«the duke» which is turkey, provolone, red peppers, and the«veggie» which was roasted eggplant, red peppers, broccoli rabe, and provolone. They offer all of the standard toppings you’d ever want. The sandwiches were packed and the bread was high quality. The also offer a large variety of chips and drinks. Beyond hoagies they serve paninis and Cuban sandwiches. They have a very large variety of sandwiches on the blackboard to choose from as well as salads and other sides. Stop by for a great sandwich!

1st time here. Great spot! Clean, friendly, loved our sandwiches. Nice drink & chip selection. Large chalkboard menu lines walls with plenty to choose from. Eat in or Take-out. This Unilocal site links to A delivery site too. They also offer catering. Will definitely be ordering from here again. Posted a pic of my Duke Hoagie– turkey, provolone, roasted red peppers, seeded roll. Ordered mine with lettuce, vinegar & oil– wonderful!

Mellow spot. Got the cheesesteak. Decent at best. The Wiz wasn’t The real Wiz so tasted a little off. Guys in the shop were super nice and they had a lot of other sandwich selections. Also tried the roast pork sandwich which liked a little more than my cheesesteak. have had better cheesesteak experiences in NY.

3.5 stars. You gotta remember that when you’re in NE Philly, sub and hoagie shops are a dime a dozen. That means that its a special occasion when you find one that can set itself apart from the rest of the crowd. Having only been here once, I’m not sure if Monty’s has done that yet for me, but it certainly has the potential to. Unlike 90% of other sandwich spots, Monty’s has some pretty unique showings as well as all the classic standbys, and as far as the quality of the ingredients go, they don’t skimp. Tried the Jersey Turnpike(Thinly sliced ribeye, chicken, bacon, and i chose provolone cheese), and the pulled pork. Meat was fresh and generous on both sandwiches, though the real kicker was the great bread that they used. If I’m in the area, I’m on board to try out some more offerings

I’ve loved going to Monty’s for years now. It’s an incredibly consistent place in both the high quality of the food, and the friendly service by ALL of the employees. I literally haven’t had a single bad experience in all those years and my family likes going here as well. This is the best sandwich shop in the area without a doubt.

Great sandwiches and cheesesteaks! Ordered take out and although they were a little slow everything was very good. Good for a quick bite!

First of all, let us please remember that this a sandwich shop. It’s not a gastro pub. Or small trendy place in Philly. It’s a sandwich shop that serves sandwiches. I actually heard someone complain about the seating once. For real? Now, it might just be a sandwich place but the sandwiches are pretty delicious.(I’ve been here 3 times now and ordered several things. Haven’t been disappointed yet) I live in the Feasterville Trevose area and there are plenty of sandwich shop around me: primos, wawa, village pantry, any pizza place, and more I am sure. However, if I want a really good sandwich I will drive to Monty’s. The seeded roll is the and the paninis are so packed they are bursting! I don’t normally order the hoagies from here because I don’t think a hoagie is worth a ten minute drive(twenty if you count round trip), so I can’t really speak to the quality of the deli meats. but the specialty sandwiches and the paninis are worth the drive. The fries are good. Not the best still better than most. The service– the guys are always friendly and quick. I waited 15 minutes one time and they were busy as all heck. And I didn’t order ahead. So I totally felt that was normal and acceptable. I like it so much, I brought my boyfriend. He is crazy picky and he loves it. This is his new go-to sandwich place. So what are you doing? Go eat a delicious sandwich right now!

Good sandwiches but one of my party ordered a sandwich with no pesto and they instead added balsamic vinegar to it despite that not being on the menu. Why can’t places stick to their menu and not add extra toppings or items?

Came across this sandwich shop in the little strip mall on 2nd Street Pike. Desided to stop for a bite to eat. Alot of parking, nearly like right in front of the place. When I walked in. Look to the left wall. That’s all, and you will be overwhelmed by the massive amount of sandwiches they have, from hot to cold and even salads. Every single potato ship flavor around the counter. And –1 star when you are standing looking to deside what you are going to get to eat. The guy that works there is basically staring at you the whole entire time. Which was kinda crazy. You feel like you are being rushed to order. And –1 star for the prices to could be mabe $ 1 or 2 cheaper like other sandwich shops. But other then that. Food was good. Had the buffalo chicken cutlet, was perfect, not alot of Buffalo sauce, basically was not drenched in sauce, that’s just how I like it, but the best part was the good seeded roll it was on. With a pickle on the side. They could have mabe added Cole slaw on the side with the sandwiches. Order fries, was good but they give you so many if you are the only person it will be tuff to eat them all. I would definitely come back again. To mabe give the roast pork sandwich a try.

The best sandwiches in the area, hands down. My personal favorite: the roast beef and provolone.

So many delicious options at Monty’s! Today’s sandwich of choice was The Jersey Turnpike. Fresh rib eye, chopped chicken steak, bacon, and your choice of cheese(went with American). The roll– excellent. The filler-amazing. All fresh ingredients and the fries on the side were awesome too. Staff– incredibly friendly. I will continue to come here whenever I have the urge for an awesome sandwich. Just wished I lived closer!

Best hoagie in northeast philly! Right temperature filling and perfect bun! Simple recipe. They don’t overload the hoagies. This place is probably better than a lot of similar places in center city philly.

Over the top flavorful Chicken Mozzarella Panini. I thought the sliced chicken would detract but no way. No doubt that fresh mozzarella is used and the pesto perfectly applied. Thinly slice tomato with the other balanced flavors make this an amazing sandwich. Only reason for no 5th star would be the less than friendly order taker. Smile dear! Your customers love this place!

Experience: This was my second time at Monty’s sandwich shop. I ordered the the BBQ pulled pork and was impressed by the taste. They served the pulled pork on a fresh seeded roll. I did not want the coleslaw which came with the sandwich so they gave me a pickle instead.(Was fresh and not old like the typical diner pickles) Atmosphere/Workers: The place has a New York food truck style atmosphere.(This is a compliment). The staff wears normal t-shirts and baseball caps. To me this shows that they are down to earth people who care more about working and making a good sandwich rather than what they look like. The inside is very basic and to the point. Their menu is written on a large chalkboard(pretty cool). There are two tv’s incase you are bored waiting and just want to catch an espn special. Looking forward to coming back and trying their old bay fries!

The good: Locally-owned by kids with a dream. Helpful(and cute) counter-guys and discount coupons almost aways available(both on the counter and by mail). The rolls and panini breads are chewy and of good quality. The menu offers an abundant selection of both cold and hot sandwiches. Better than the chains(as a general proposition avoid any store that involves the name«Lee»). The bad: At least some of the meats are Dietz & Watson, which we find flavor– and texture-challenged and of inferior quality. As a result, Altomonte’s(which bakes its own very delicious breads and uses real meats) is our first choice when a sandwich need arises. Monty’s will do in a pinch, if one avoids the cold cuts.
