Baptist Memorial Hospital Desoto

It is always weird seeing one of your bosses in the hospital. Especially when he knows you are leaving soon. And especially when you send him an email and you find out hours later he is in a hospital (not awkward at all).
He had appendicitis, and was going to be out for a few. I wanted to wish him well in case I didn’t see him before I moved. So, I found out what hospital he was in. Well, it was Mississippi– and if you know me, I hate going to Mississippi. But I was going for support.
After a long ass left turn, I finally found a full (but free) parking lot. I went inside, and I was amazed at different this place seemed (only being 10 minutes south of Memphis) — it was eerie. But I was helped out and lead to the right room. The place was clean and shiny– like out of a book.
I made it to the 9^th floor (yea, this is the tallest building in the area, haha) and found my way. When I got to the bosses «suite» I asked if they were treating him well in his penthouse. He laughed, and said they were.
It was a short visit, but I saw they were taking care of him and he got out of there 2 days later. Not sure how well they fare with everything else, but that seemed to work out.
Still, it is south of the border of TN…
