Quality Inn

Room was reasonably clean, staff was great. Good breakfast, had scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, biscuits, gravy, yogurt, cereal, juice and fruit. Microwave and fridge in room. Outdoor pool was closed for season. Had exercise room and sauna. We reserved on line for two nites, total bill for double room $ 140. We are Choice Hotel members so will be getting a free nite with current promotion. Hotel is quite near airport and Memphis is Fedex hub so planes will be noisy at times.

Fine hotel. Always quiet an clean.

I stayed here two nights a few months ago. I was NOT impressed. The older woman who checked me in was very nice and actually gave me a room that had a whirlpool tub (which I didn’t have to pay extra for). Unfortunately it was either set right between smoking rooms or people were smoking where they shouldn’t have been, because the odor of cigarette smoke permeated the room to the extent that I had trouble breathing. There was a light in the bathroom that didn’t work, so the bathroom (which was larger because of the whirlpool tub) was very dim.
There was an instance where a couple of people and their kids were running around outside our door and talking loudly around midnight, so we called the front desk and they sent someone out to ask them to take it inside or be quiet. So I can’t say anything bad about the staff. It just didn’t live up to my expectations for the money — even with the tub upgrade.

Hotel part was fine. Specifically ask to NOT be put in room 201. The head of your bed is up against the wall connected to the stairs outside. The sound of people running up and down the stairs echoed throughout the room and it was pretty annoying even with the television on. Also, very very close to the airport so you will hear planes coming and going all night regardless of your room location. The lobby was very nice and the staff was very friendly. The free breakfast was actually pretty good with a nice selection. Free wi-​fi that doesn’t require you to call and get the password, just sign in and start surfing! Small fitness center and guest laundry are available as well.
