I recently had a bad eye infection, called the office and he was able to see me immediately. This was at 5:00 on a Friday. Following week, Sat after Christmas, discovered my contact lens lost in my eye, could not find it. Did not think the office would be open since no other Dr.‘s office was open, but called at 8:30AM and was surprised they were and I was able to come right in. My lens somehow split in half in my eye and he was able to retrieve both pieces. This man has really been my savoir. The nicest man too! I would highly recommend Dr. Filchak! My whole family has been going to him for the last 12 years and I would never go elsewhere!

I went to Dr. Filchak’s office on a Thursday evening. I did not have to wait long to be called in to the DR. They have hundreds of frames, so while waiting they give you a tray and tell you to have fun trying them all on. I went into see the Dr. He was super friendly and informative. After the Dr. I went in to see Nancy(who i believe is a tech) and she did testing of the eyes on me. PAINLESS! No blow of air and they have a machine that takes pictures of your eyes so you don’t have to go through the whole gritty dilation process!!! After we were done, we headed out to the frames, tried on the ones that I picked and Nancy was honest as ever and I APPRECIATED that so much because what I think might look nice, may make me look like a clown, so I was thankful for that. She ended up pulling 30+ frames, some I wouldn’t even dare try on and made it so much fun to try on frames. I really got the full experience and felt that the frames we decided on were really the best for the shape of my face. I should add that the frame I chose wasn’t close the ones I had picked out and I am so pleased with them. Nancy and the whole Thursday night team were so great! They were so great I waited till a Thursday to pick up my glasses once they came in so I could see the whole smiling happy gang! I am so glad I chose Dr. Filchak’s office!

Bad experience today at this eye Dr.‘s office. I simply wanted to replace one of the lenses in my eyeglasses, which broke when my cat jumped on them. I was told that the replacement lens may not match the undamaged lens. I wanted to know if it would be an obvious difference or if it would only be noticed if you looked closely. The staff told me they weren’t sure and that if it was obvious and I was not happy, they WOULDNOT allow me to return them. That’s fantastic customer service. I was floored. I have been taken care of much better in the past, so I was very surprised to be told that I would have to pay for something that i potentially might not be happy with. I will not go back.
