Randy’s is now Brixx Pizza and let me tell you the pizza is excellent. We ordered the White Lightning and I’ve never had a better pizza. This place uses top quality ingredients and the taste will verify that once you taste your pie. Wasn’t a big fan of Randy’s., preferred Firehouse down the street but Brixx has changed my mind. Try it out and you won’t be disappointed.

We get Randy’s pizza delivered just about every Friday and the pies are always terrific – the large pizzas are a bit on the expensive side but are king-size; the delivery guys are very friendly and professional, particularly Tyler

Well it’s been a while. It’s still real good pizza. We’ve always enjoyed Randy’s and we were disappointed when they left Southington. The new place reminds me of one of those cool little pizza joints you find all over NY and in some resort communities. One big table(seats 6 – 7), 3 four person booths for seating. Big take-out business including slices. We’ll be back often I’m sure.

I still have a few discounted gift certificates so I am compelled to continue frequenting this pizzaria though I find the pizza to be below mediocre. I stopped in for takeout and ordered a 2 slice special which came with a soda for only $ 4.50 plus tax. The pizza looked good, but the sauce and mozzarella were tasteless. Worse was the cardboard they use in lieu of crust.

Well, the pizza was really good, but since moving locations from the fully decked out large restaurant to the hole in the wall four table dive, I wasn’t very impressed. The place smelled of dirty rags and the waitress, although super nice, looked like she came on to her shift straight from her all night adventures. The place is so small, you can’t help but notice every little thing that goes on. We ordered the White Lightning pizza which was a white pizza topped with garlic, chicken sausage, spinach, mozzarella and ricotta. Mega tasty, but a bit burnt around the edges. We also ordered Maria’s chipotle chicken salad which was pretty tasty as well but seemed more like a grated cheese salad topped with a few other salad like ingredients(there was a ton of cheese in this salad). All in all, we enjoyed the food, but might just opt to pick up next time we’re in the area.

When I heard that Randy’s Wooster Street Pizza had been featured on Man vs. Food I wasn’t surprised so many Unilocalers had given relatively low reviews. People seem to feel compelled to be more critical than they would otherwise be once something becomes too popular or too mainstream. I can only speak for the Southington location but my experience at Randy’s was nothing but positive. I love brick oven pizza, particularly New Haven style pizza so I was very excited to visit. The location on Center street is admittedly smaller than I expected and that is my only reason for not giving it five stars. That said, we visited around midday and there was no wait. The owner/manager greeted and sat us and he was very warm and friendly. Another waiter later came over and offered to hang our coats up for us and was also very attentive. We had a very short wait for our pizza and it did not disappoint. It definitely holds it’s own compared to Modern Apizza(my favorite), Pepe’s and the likes. More than anything I really appreciate a place that appreciates its patrons. It is such a rare thing these days. The staff are friendly, engaging and kind. The owner/manager was nice enough to give my son a little toy car for being a good boy at the end of our meal. It was such a pleasant and unexpected surprise. Good pizza, good service, can’t ask for much more than that!

One word… overrated! & overpriced. I struggle giving this place 2 stars, let’s start with the food. Ordered a large pizza and a grinder. The pizza crust and dough was cooked perfect, thin and crusty but the sauce was pretty bland maybe they should add some spices. Pizza was ok not great definitely not New Haven quality. Grinder was good but here is the problem. The place has 5 tables of which only two were full. You would think if you ordered a meal the server would not forget the grinder… my wife had to wait while the eggplant parm grinder was being made because the server forgot to order. Come on man!,… PS — $ 22.00 for an 18″ pizza with 3 toppings(of which two were veggy) is a bit excessive.

Love their specialty pizzas. Some of my favorites are Sebastian’s Showcase, Unfriendly Fire, and Crunch Time. Make sure you try their peanut butter and bacon pizza too!

This is to rate the all you can eat pizza and wings for $ 10 bucks. Pizza is great. The wings are what bring the rating down. Pros– BYOB, we didn’t know but now we do. — you start with two slices, then, two more and on and on until you say stop. Choice do pepperoni or cheese. –service is fantastic-! Girl stays on you never leaving you hanging. Very accommodating. Cons– breaded wings!!! This is terrible I would go to pizza hut if I wanted that. And I wont go back because of that. They are gross when added filler is used, and for what purpose??? –traditional sauce, to vinegary –Caribbean — I liked it. Sweet taste. BBQ chipotle was like a tomato like sauce. Garlic parm… More like honey mustard. Also a different taste then the sauces appearance. The wings also lacked sauce. Many of them did not have enough on so with that and the breading… Not again. I will do the pizza, it was really good. I will return but they really have to get there act together on the wings. The sauces have potential, with nothing good to put it on.

More of a take out place than a dine in. There’s only 5 tiny tables. The food is the same as the other Randy’s. I had lunch/dinner here one evening with my little sister. The service was fine but the place didn’t smell that great. I think the rags they used to clean the tables were on the musty side.
