If you’re looking for your average grocery store this is not it. It is always clean, produce is always fresh and the employees are always friendly, helpful and readily available to assist customers.

I found this store to be cramped and illogically organized with a mediocre selection. Staff was friendly enough. I simply did not like the stock of items and the layout. It felt counterintuitive and it took me close to 45 minutes to purchase less than a dozen items.

Asked to see the origin tags for scallops. Douche behind the counter refused, says he doesn’t have to show it to me. I say, «ok then, i don’t have to buy seafood here». As i start to walk away, he says,“Were you looking for seafood from somewhere specific? These scallops are from the USA”. I say, «Great, so that narrows it down, can you tell what body of water scallops come from in Phoenix?»

Great grocery stores with a large variety of fruits/vegetables/meats/seafood. Prices are competitive. They always have many checkout lanes open making checking out easy and faster than other nearby grocery stores. I’ve just started using online shopping to pick up my groceries directly at the store. What a huge time saver! They do a great job shopping for all items on my list and will call me a few hours before I’m supposed to pick up my groceries if they need to substitute an item. You simply pull up to the online shopping area and your groceries are waiting for you. So simple, fast and easy! The shoppers have been great and customer service superb.

This chain is below average in many respects, but I will visit based on the weekly specials. The seafood department should be avoided as the fish is rarely fresh primarily attributable to inadequate turnover. The quality of the meat is below average with many of the specials being steak from Australia. Much of the vegetables and fruit are imported so beware. The bakery department should also be avoided.

Decent supermarket. At first we didn’t want to go here, not sure why but nobody ever wanted to go to Shoprite. Checked it out one day and it wasn’t bad. Natural foods are in the aisles, not their own section like at Stop and Shop etc. Will be back. Prices seem good.

In comparison to the grocery stores in the area Shop Rite has decent deals. For their packaged dry goods you can expect to pay $ 0.50 — $ 1.00 less at Shop Rite. Their organic selection is weak compared to Big Y. It seems every single time I run in for Olivia’s Organic salad greens Shop Rite is always out of stock. I can’t depend on Shop Rite to provide a fresh supply of organic vegetables. Shop Rite usually offers the best deals on paper goods. Even if the other grocery stores have similar sales, Shop Rite is usually $ 1 less.
