I went there and ordered the Salmon Limone, i was aware that it came with the artichokes but they put so many artichokes that i couldn’t tell the artichokes from the salmon, it was way too strong, and the sauce was very runny and tasted soapy, will not return, very disappointed.

Overall I feel like this place is overly hyped and really isn’t anything special. Food is decent, chicken is dry tho. Least the grilled chicken has been. I generally get mac n cheese as it is very creamy and tasty like I enjoy. Honestly though, for a self service place, it is expensive. Sit down service prices. Have gotten out of many places with a wait staff for less or the same.

If I could give no stars I would. I would have never thought it could be possible to mess up a turkey club. This was by far the worst sandwich I have ever had. The bread was hard and dry on the outside of the sandwich and the lettuce on the inside was wilted and soggy. More than likely it was premade days ago. It also was missing the bacon, cheese, mayo and creamy parmesan dressing as it details in the menu. What I received was a triple decker of hard bread, turkey, dried out tomatoes, & wilted lettuce. Unfortunately, I ordered it as take out so I couldn’t send it back and find something else on the menu. Instead I called and spoke with a manager who told me they would replace the sandwich free of charge the next time I called in an order… Too bad I wouldn’t attempt to eat this sandwich again even if it was free. Not to mention now I’m without lunch! Just terrible.

Much improved since my last visit which was, admittedly, a few years ago now. I ordered a turkey club with a side of fries and my husband got a Caesar salad with salmon instead of chicken. Everything came out extremely fresh, albeit a bit slowly, our food was well made and the portions were huge! I actually had to get a to-go box for half of my meal, there’s just no way to eat an entire sandwich plus fries from here in one go. I’ll keep coming back and trying different things – this was my favorite lunch and dinner spot in Southlake for a long time, I’m so glad we had a good experience dining here today. Café Express is always very clean as they have people sweeping and wiping tables constantly, even when it’s not busy in the dining room. I’m always very impressed with how well stocked their condiments bar is, as well.

The staff were lackadaisical and the restaurant was a mess. There were at least five tables not cleaned.

This place is good– for sandwiches. I honestly think my favorite part of this café is their condiment bar because you have unlimited pickles, olives and hot sauces. We got there pretty early, around 11 ish, and by the time it was 12 the place was packed. I got a roast beef sandwich thinking it was the usually with swiss cheese and horseradish, but it came with this weird pepper spread. Wasnt too much of a fan of the spread.

I come to this location probably a couple times a week. Pretty consistent experience: orders are ready pretty quickly, always clean, always room to sit. They also have a patio section for the nicer days. I’m a big fan of their salads– I get the chicken pesto pasta one or the shrimp avocado one pretty much every time I go. Very fresh, healthy, and one of the few places in southlake that has legitimate salads that are easy to take to go.

My family has property on the Kenai River in Alaska and goes salmon fishing every July to bring back fresh fish for the year. That being said, oddly enough, this is the ONLY other salmon I’d ever even dream or think about eating. Whatever herbs/oils/spices they put in it is so amazing! I used to eat it almost every day for lunch when I worked in Southlake. To add to it, NOBODY can prepare the artichoke hearts that come with the Mediterranean Salmon like Café Express. I’ve asked the chefs several times for tips or cooking them and they won’t even give me hints. This is the meal that I’ve tried over and over to duplicate and can’t even come close. Worth every penny and mile to get there!

I’ve been to several café express and we came in for breakfast today and the service was slow and very disorganized. Manager was oblivious to what was going on cause she was so focus on to go orders and not paying attention to customers up front. I won’t be coming to this location!

The food was superb with an interesting cafeteria style diner. I got the turkey club with sweet potato fries, and I wasn’t disappointed. I ended up asking the cashier for some honey from the back to dip my sweet potato fries in. Great selection of condiments overall– made it easy for the rest of my group to make our meals our own.

I feel like lately everything here has gone down hill. My husband ordered the chicken and bacon sandwich and the chicken was old and overcooked.

I come to lunch here weekly. The Meal Combos are a great value: petite sandwich, soup and salad for $ 8.59. Employees are happy to bus tables. Customer service is great here!

We have eaten at Café Express at several places around the DFW area mostly in Collin County. Consistent level of food and service. When looking for a light lunch in nice atmosphere put them on your list.

Decent food, but not a good value. 2 adults meals(salad and a club sandwich) and a kids meal. 1 soft drink and a water. $ 32 and you get no table service. The food was just average. Also several tables sat with dirty dishes the whole time and the restaurant looks dated. Worn tables, floor has chips in the tile everywhere, etc. Overall the place needs updating, not a great value and the food is average.

Came here for lunch with cousin. It was kind of quiet, was expecting a busier lunch. Didn’t mind the quiet though:-) Had the turkey club w bacon. And the side of kettle chips. And a cup of the southwest turkey chili. Both were delicious. I would order those 2 again. The only thing I would change is the bread in the middle of the club. Thought it was a lot. Started getting full. It was pretty good though. My cousin had a sandwich with olive spread which she didn’t like and also a side of the fruit. It was really delicious. The fruit was sweet:-) In all will come back again, they have a lot to offer and friendly staff.

After an early soccer game in Trophy Club, we needed a quick bite before a full day of kid activities. Saw this place and decided to try it. It’s a casual café, old tables, small town café feel. Self-serve silverware/condiment bar. Food was mediocre. I had the vegetarian black bean soup with a side of country fried potatoes. They were soggy with gross bacon bits on them. Kids had french toast, hubby had a burger which he said was bland. Quality of food felt like frozen stuff, recooked. Service was friendly. Not worth coming back to in the future.

I must admit I was fairly disappointed in the food at Café Express Southlake this evening. Granted, we arrived late and they were pretty much shutting down, but I have NEVER had a Greek salad made with ICEBERG lettuce. Maybe they had run out of Romain lettuce, but if they had told me that when I ordered, I would have changed my order! I should have stuck with the spinach and potato salad like I normally choose. I’ll never stray again!

Cheese Burger $ 9.29 Sweet Potato Fries $ 1.29 Spinach Salad $ 8.29 Great location and décor. Varied food and wine selection. We ate at 12:45 and restaurant was about half full. Is definitely a chick place. Found the atmosphere to be loud and several toddlers were acting out(a pet peeve of mine). Food came out fresh and in about 7 minutes. Is not my cup of tea, but will be back as my wife likes the place.

I ordered the southwest scramble not really knowing what it was going to be. It’s like a black bean soup, Bleh. I am not a fan all I can stand to eat is the toast. I know people that come here and they say it’s ok not great Not a good first experience for me, this egg and bean soup was way over priced! $ 8

I ordered the Veggie Chef Salad with honey mustard instead of the creamy parmesan(I’m a health-nut). When I got to the condiment bar I loaded up on some other goodies(pickled carrots an onions, cornichons/gherkins, pickled jalapeños, sun-dried tomatoes, roasted garlic, chipotle salsa, and red jalapeño mango salsa) and didn’t even end up touching the dressing. The salad was a huge portion but I managed to finish it because it was so good!
