Saturday morning: Waited 30 mins on a go order of 2 breakfast tacos. Food was cold like it had been sitting in the bag for a while. Several others were having issues with extremely long wait times as well. Restaurant was busy but not overcrowded so it seems like maybe they are understaffed. I love Torchy’s but this kind of service will keep me away from this location. You guys need to step it up.

Good and tasty tacos. Wide variety and each of them were flavorful. The family Ordered jerk chicken, fajita chicken, the independent(veggie), the republican(sausage), fried avocado. All turned out well. Side of corn was little too salty but side of rice was good. Busy, youngish, eclectic crowd ambience — which gives kind of festive feel(at least on Saturday ni For now will be our goto taco spot — till we figure out how frezko taco place is.

The Democrat & Crossoads are the 2 best tacos there! Love this place, very filling & they don’t skimp on the portions like Fuzzy’s does!

They get pretty busy on weekends. But so worthy of the wait. Great selections and a little overpriced for me. But hits the palate good. Parking could be a problem too. Try Baja shrimp and their daily specials. Enjoy

*Breakfast review* So you’re on your way to Central Market to try to beat the shopping cart gridlock, and you know better than to set foot in a food market on an empty stomach, so you’re debating between taking the edge off with a latte or stopping in at the Café before picking up your quinoa and dry-aged steak. But let’s face it, the choices at the Café really don’t piqué your interest, and you’ll spend 15 min just waiting in the drive through line for the barista to craft that latte. Cue Torchy’s. I don’t know of any better breakfast deal in town. For $ 8, two people can get a deliciously satisfying huge breakfast taco plus the caffeine addict can sate that need as well. What’s not to love?

BEST. TACOS. The green chili queso is delicious. The place is packed at peak meal times because it’s so good. I pretty much eat here at least once a week.

I’m not one to crave particular things, but I often find myself craving Torchy’s. Yes, it’s that good! There is just something incredibly satisfying about eating there. You’ll understand once you visit. Now let’s get to the point… Chips and dips: Torchy’s is known for their tacos, but do not pass up on the opportunity to have some of the best queso around. Their green chile queso is on point! It’s interesting because they put guac in it, but it really makes it stand out. I also love the kick that the dash of diablo sauce gives it. I’ve also tried the guacamole here and I enjoy it; however, it isn’t the best I’ve ever had. I’d much rather have the queso. NOTE: they do free chip refills so don’t be afraid to ask for more chips if you haven’t gobbled up all of the queso. Tacos I’ve tried: The Democrat — Simple and delicious; I love it. Trailer Park — Good, but I’d rather not have fried chicken in my taco so I don’t order it often. Brushfire — Flavorful taco with a nice kick. Baja Shrimp — Very disappointing. Only bad taco I’ve had from here. Chicken Fajita — Standard, but pretty good. Beef Fajita — Standard, but pretty good. Crossroads — Amazing smoked flavor. My personal favorite. Nowadays when I go, my go-to order is one democrat and two crossroads. It should be noted that three tacos is WAY too much for the average person; I have quite a large appetite.

I love meeting my best friend here when we’re both in town visiting our families. The tacos are absolutely delicious and creative. One taco alone(and some chips and Queso of course) is enough to fill me up. My only complaint is the crowds, but I guess that’s the sign of a hot business. I wish the space was larger because the two times I’ve been there the line was out the door.

Torchys is my fav taco place around here! It’s always so fresh and delish. What I really like about this place is not only the bomb tacos, but the sides are fantastic too! You have to get the queso and the street corn. You won’t regret it He green chili taco is my go to

After 2 years when I return to Dallas for the first time to meet few friends, guess where do I go from airport directly?! This place! The fried avocado taco with diablo sauce is something I crave for everyday in bay area. Filling, good price, awesome taste. Introduced it to my friend and he became a fan instantly. The diablo sauce is so hot and nice that the tingling sensation remains on tongue for 30min to 1hr after food. Just love it. They sell the sauce but sadly dont think I can take it in flight on carry on as it would break the TSA liquid guideline.

Amazing taco! I got the fried avocado taco on flour tortilla and it was a big taco, came with a sauce on the side which was terrific! It also had refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. Delicious! I had really high expectations from this place. And I wasn’t disappointed. I was in fact planning what to get on my next trip there, which will likely be soon. With that being said, I found the people on the register to be a little disrespectful talking to themselves even as we stood right in front of them. But everybody else were nice and the overall service was good.

Tacos are awesome! Line was out the door. Pretty Much tried everything on menu for takeout and everything was gone within seconds. Really like the corn side too — good portion. We ordered for takeout, ready for pickup– only bummer is… After ordering three times there– they’ve forgotten at least one thing we ordered(and paid for). It’s a little bit of a drive so we don’t want to drive all the way back… Just disappointing, you check the receipt and think everything’s there. My suggestion is check your bag!

The brushfire with mango salsa and habanero sauce, is my favorite taco in the whole world! They have an array of sauces that are complementary, unlike Fuzzys where they charge for salsa? They have these designer sodas with a bunch of cool flavors. I love love this place!

I’m unreasonably obsessed with this place. I say unreasonable because I feel like this place is too hyped up for what it is, but at the same time I fell for the hype, sooo… yeah I do come here on a regular basis. And I enjoy it every time. I’ve gotten majority if not all of the tacos they offer. The queso in itself is worth coming back for. The elote has a strange taste to it and I can’t pinpoint what it is. It’s very… smokey chipotle paprika-ish. A little too smokey. It’s not bad, it’s just not my favorite. My favorite taco might be Trailer Park Trashy. Or The Brushfire. Or the Mr. Pink. I can’t decide. I like them all! Two tacos and a queso will fill you up. If i’m not starving, I’m usually okay with just 1 taco and queso. Always get the queso, though.

Came back to another Torchy’s Tacos(not this specific location), and decided to try something off of their secret menu, The Matador. Basically, this taco is brisket, grilled jalapenos, and a bunch of other stuff all melted onto a tortilla. Man, so good, but yet so bad for your body. If you’re having a cheat day, I would definitely recommend it!

Solid fancy taco place, and one of the better ones I’ve tried in Dallas. I came in to place a take out order on a Wednesday night, and it wasn’t that packed around 7pm. It took less than 10 minutes to get my order, and I tried: –The Democrat(Shredded Beef Barbacoa w/Avocado, Cilantro, Queso Fresco, Onion, Lime Wedge, Tomatillo Sauce, Corn Tortilla, $ 4), Trailer Park(Fried Chicken, Green Chilies, Pico de Gallo, Cheese, «Trashy Style» w/Queso, Poblano Sauce, Flour Tortilla, $ 3.75), Fried Avocado(Fried Avocados, w/Refried Beans, Pico de Gallo, Lettuce, Cheese, Poblano Sauce, Corn Tortilla, $ 3.75), [ : I liked the Fried Avocado and the The Democrat the best, but the Trailer Park was also pretty good. I loved the chewiness of the flour tortillas, and that the tacos weren’t too big, but they didn’t skimp on the filling. –3 Little Nookies(Deep Fried Chocolate Chip Cookies Dusted w/Powdered Sugar, Topped w/Cherries, $ 2.95, ): Super super sweet, but also addicting. I liked the texture of the crispy exterior and chewy interior. However, I probably wouldn’t get these again unless I had a major sugar craving, but I would definitely steal one if someone else ordered them! Overall, the tacos here were good, and I would definitely recommend Torchy’s over Fuzzy’s. The parking for this location was easy since the strip mall had plenty of spots.

My husband is a fan of Torchy’s. I have been to different locations starting in Austin, this specific location maybe about 4 times. I have to say that I have never been on the bandwagon. There is an older guy at this location that is super friendly and he makes me smile when he is working, everyone else is kind of meh. It could be difficult to find parking or a table on a weekend, no matter what time. This is a busy location for sure. I’ve had basically all their vegetarian options. The one I ordered consistently is the fried avocado. I feel like it’s always a hit or miss. The prices are high and the food is not consistently good. Their elote and queso are good, but for americanized tacos, I prefer Taco Velvet.

This was my first visit to Torcy’s Taco. My husband and I went on Labor Day(Monday) during dinner hours, this place was packed! Jumpin’ and Buzzin’ We lucked up and got a parking space right in front of the patio seating. I had the Fried Avocado and The Democrat both were AMAZING! The Fried Avocado was my favorite. If you like spicy you MUST try the Green Chile Queso & Chips. Delish! I had water, but my husband said their soda was really good. Great price! I felt like the tables were a little tight(front to back), just enough room to pull out and slide in. It took a little longer than expected to get through the line and I felt it was just a little loud. The wait staff did a great job clearing and cleaning table tops. The décor compliments the atmosphere. I will definitely go back!

Late Saturday night. Heading to Roanoke from DFW and pull out trustee steel with a one star and still open filter. What’s up? Torchy’s tacos! I’m excited because I want one more meal of tacos before I fly back home. Place was clean, the service was friendly, and there was no question that everyone was closing up shop for the night. I get it. It’s Saturday night. And you want to go home. But unfortunately, the food was not its highest quality. It’s such a shame because flavors were absolutely delicious. I ordered the chips in queso which was recommended by the guy at the register. He said it was the best queso he’s ever had. And the flavor may have actually been the best queso I’ve ever had. Unfortunately, it was cold. I politely asked that they heated up, even putting it into a microwave was OK. The guy from the kitchen came back a minute later and gave me a brand-new queso. Hooray? Not so much. It was exactly the same cold temperature. What a bummer. For the tacos themselves the Carnitas were pretty good, and the mad cow which was suggested by the worker was fantastic. The flavor of the meat itself was absolutely amazing. But again, I could tell that it was late night and it wasn’t it’s freshest. I think this review could’ve been five stars because the restaurant was cool and the flavors were fantastic, but when you’re open you need to be on all the time. That was not the case before closing.

Torchy’s tacos hits the spot for a favorable and inexpensive lunch in Southlake. I must warn you though you have to come in early to beat the lunch rush crowd. Each time I visit the service and the food always come in top notch. Everything on the menus is crafted with the taco connoisseur in mind. I ordered the chicken fajita and the independent(grilled and breaded portobello mushroom strips) and man did they hit the spot. One of my friends ordered the chips and queso. The queso was the right mix of cheese and spice. You could totally just eat a bowl of it and not even realize you ate the whole bowl before scrapping bottom. As for the table situation it was pretty packed; however, it was raining. If the weather was nicer seating would of flowed to the patio and I would not have been so bad. Add the fact they have their own branded soda and Torchy’s tacos is a great place to go for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I look forward to going back and choking down on some tacos.
