Reserve at Lake Travis

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will definitely be back. Ellen at the Welcome Center is wonderfully helpful and accommodating. We stayed in a two bedroom «cabin» that was beautifully thought out with separate master and guest bedroom both with private baths. The pool area was delightful with a lazy river, huge hot tub area, and an infinity pool with a waterfall. We will definitely be back. The only drawbacks were that the parking for the cabins is not horribly convenient to the actual cabin.

Definitely worth during non peak season price wise. Probably wouldn’t pay for peak season. Completely isolated from city and rest of world for most part. Very quiet area. Cabin was very nice! Well suited for romantic getaway!

The Reserve is pretty much like a resort get away! This place is definitely what I would call posh. My cousin and his family have a membership here and they invited us to come out for the day. When you are driving out there it feels like it is kind of in the middle of nowhere and then all of a sudden this paradise appears.
We spent time at the marina. This was the nicest marina I have seen in the Austin area for sure! I could tell everything is taken care of with the utmost care possible. The marina is treated somehow as well so that the cobwebs and spiders don’t take over your boat and slip area, which is super nice and convenient. There is also room for outdoor kitchens and patio furniture at the front of each slip. People have grills and stuff out there too. I gathered that it is a thing to just hang out at your slip area and cook out with your friends and family and you may or may not even take the boat out.
After we took the boat out and came back in we road the golf cart up to the lazy river. This is where it really started to feel like a resort for me. They have a decent sized lazy river that is so much fun! There is a swim up bar on one side and the bar opens to the deck area on the other side. There are plenty of tables to sit at and chase lounge chairs in the sun and shaded for total comfort and relaxing. I had a few perfectly made margaritas from the bar and had a wonderful time hanging out with my family and floating the lazy river!
The Reserve property is actually pretty huge! They also have cabins you can rent out, tennis courts and a park area. There is lots of places to hike around as well. This would be the perfect family get away spot and it is not too far from other cool outdoor things like Krause Springs, Hamilton Pool Park and of course Lake Travis!

My husband and I recently had our wedding at The Reserve and we couldn’t have been happier! Here is a breakdown of our amazing experience:
1) Booking Process: We started off with reservations at another local resort and there happened to be a scheduling issue/​poor customer service. We then called around to a TON of local venues/​resorts but no place would accommodate an elopement (just the two of us). I guess they only catered to large parties. After days of frustrating phone calls, our wonderful photographer (Sherry Hammonds Photography) recommended the Reserve. I called Guest Services and spoke with Ellen who was fabulous! Because she was so friendly and accommodating, we booked the same day.
2) Wedding Planning: Our Wedding Coordinator, Christine, was phenomenal! Not only was she incredibly responsive but provided superior customer service in her offerings, suggestions and flexibility. She made it so easy for an out-​of-​state bride to plan a wedding. I had no worries at all during the weeks leading up to the event because of all her efforts.
3) Accommodations: The rental cabins exceeded our expectations. They were way better than a hotel or standard resort having a large bedroom, HUGE bathroom, outdoor shower, fireplace, kitchenette and front porch. They were very well kept, clean, modern and cozy. Again, way better than standard resort rooms.
4) The Grounds: This community is so unique with all the amenities. Our wedding ceremony was right next to the lake under beautiful trees and had a sunset dinner by the Cypress Club Lodge. We had plenty of beautiful spots for photos. The different backgrounds and scenes made it look as though we were in completely different zip codes.
5) Food: Our Chef prepared a custom 7 course meal with wine pairings and it was sensational! It was great to pick everything in advance and was prepared with high quality ingredients. Our Chef came out and checked on us afterwards which was a nice touch.
Overall, this venue was the PERFECT spot for our wedding. We are so happy we did not go somewhere else as we wouldn’t have had the same level of service and hospitality as we did from the reserve staff. Thank you for making our special day so memorable!

The cabins are great. They were nice and cozy with a big tub and a shower that goes from the inside to the outside. You have a lot of privacy and a ton of room to just make it a get away. We spent a lot of time at the pool which was fantastic with an awesome view of Lake Travis. The staff was super nice and friendly. The poll drinks/​food was on point. Overall very satisfied.

Looks great, but not much to do and there is no food anywhere. 30 min to get food anywhere. Terrible location.

What a Suprise. Great cabins tons of space clean and new. Very kid friendly. The food was wonderful especially at dinner. Loved the salads. It’s so quiet. Lots of wildlife to see. Everyone is extremely friendly and accommodating. Cannot wIt to come back

We have stayed 2 times at The Reserve and expect to go back soon! The property has 12 cabins you can rent out for a great romantic getaway. Each cabin is it’s own small house. Large tub by fireplace, indoor/​outdoor shower, king beds that are very comfortable. Quiet and relaxing.
There is a lazy river pool, swim up bar and hot tub. The Cypress Lodge serves up some great gourmet dishes. We had the Chateaubriand steak which was cooked perfect paired with a great red wine. Some nights they have activities for the property homeowners and it is a great place to meet some good Texas folk! Rent a golf cart and drive around The Reserve, check out the huge marina on the lake and see the stars. Loved our time there! Thank you!

Wow this is my favorite getaway place. My husband and I come up every weekend ! We keep the boat at their Marina and use all the facilities as country club members. We’ve made some amazing lifelong friends been coming here now for five years. Recommended to everyone and anyone who wants a great place to hang out.

This place is simply amazing. From privately owned vacation homes to quaint little romantic villas, the grounds here have something for everyone. This is the hill country at its finest.
The Reserve offers memberships where one can store their boat at the marina and utilize the facilities, or even just be a member to enjoy the stunning views, have cocktails at the club or enjoy the fabulous lazy river and pool.
We visited for a weekend with some friends. Our friends parents have purchased a lake house and we rented a private villa. The views everywhere are amazing. I can’t wait to come back and stay a whole week.
