Service was very slow, we had to stop the server and ask for everything we needed. Food was good though.

Located in Spokane Valley and one of a kind, this place is sure to provide you with a unique dish that you will love. From their Sweet Potato fries to their Cajun Pasta and so much more you will discover great flavor and style. I’ve eaten at Ambrosia Bistro on a number of occasions and enjoyed every visit. The establishment is clean and staff is courteous and friendly. They have a daily homemade soup that is always delicious or you may try their signature French Onion Soup which is always a favorite classic for many. If you are in the Spokane Valley area be sure to stop in for lunch or dinner, you are sure to be pleased.

I’ve been wanting to try this place for years but it’s not exactly a place you go to with your buddies! More of an intimate setting, Ambrosia is an upscale little bistro located in the Argonne Village. For those of you who are old, like me, and grew up in Spokane, it’s located where the old Hungry Farmer used to be. Wife and I were super hungry and wanted to try something new so we decided to order takeout from Ambrosia. Neither of us had eaten there before and we were not dressed for the occasion, so takeout seemed more appropriate. We decided on the crab ravioli and the Sriracha burger. Food was ready within 20 minutes. During the short time I was in the restaurant picking up my food, the staff was incredibly friendly to me. I snapped a few pics of the interior but did so discretely, as I didn’t want to look like a weirdo. I uploaded them in this review. It’s very nice inside. A bit small, but I wouldn’t say cramped. I didn’t get to explore the whole restaurant though. I’ll save that for another time when I am dressed more appropriately for the setting and can actually sit down and eat there. The place isn’t exactly a hoodie and gym shorts kind of joint. Got home quickly and dug right in. I’ve got to say, my Sriracha burger was on point. Their menu describes it as: «Wagyu-Angus beef, double smoked bacon, pepper jack cheese, pickled jalapenos, fried egg, lettuce, tomato, and house made Sriracha aioli on a brioche bun.» It was delicious! Juicy and incredibly flavorful but not at all greasy. I loved it. Fries were pretty good but nothing out of this world. But I liked them just fine. Higher quality fries than most places. My wife’s crab ravioli was quite good as well. I feel for the price though, I would have liked just a bit more portion wise. We were initially irritated because we thought the ravioli was supposed to come with a side Caesar salad but, after calling the restaurant to inquire about this, they told us that the salad is only included during the lunch service. Kind of strange, but whatever. It was fine. The ravioli is something I’d definitely order again, as is the burger. Based off of my experience with Ambrosia Bistro tonight, I will for sure be dining there again. It’s nice to have a modern, more upscale option right on Argonne. I’d like to give the restaurant a try dining in, instead of getting food to go. When I do, I’ll update my review based off of that occasion, as I’ve yet to get the«full experience» of Ambrosia. Expect small but delicious portions here and a higher price than you might be used to. But I’d recommend giving Ambrosia a try, especially if your looking for a more upscale dining experience than the low quality food offered at the Timber Creek Grill Buffet next door. I’ll be back to Ambrosia soon!

I really like Ambrosia. I ordered wild Alaskan salmon over risotto cakes on my last visit. The salmon was fresh, moist on the inside, and slightly crusty on the outside – just like it should be. The risotto cake was creamy and tasted good, but I didn’t nearly as much as they gave me. I also had a Moscow mule that was heavy on the vodka. I am not usually seeking strong drinks, and this night was no exception. I finished it after my meal. Ambrosia is a great place to have a conversation over well-prepared food, in a calm, relaxing atmosphere. I’ve consistently had great service here too. I’ll be back.

The food was amazing, we had the pear and gorgonzola flatbread which was surprisingly subtle fit such strong flavors. For entrees we had the crab ravioli and the short ribs. Both were fantastic. The shirt ribs were literally falling apart but were still moist and the mash was perfect. The ravioli were tender and very light despite the cream sauce and the filing was delicious. The coconut cake was also very tender, very slightly dry but completely overtaken by the grilled pineapple ice cream that was delicious and ever so slightly smoky. The service was cordial and knowledgeable without being overly enthusiastic.

Yum, Yum, Yum Best fries I ever had! Best tarter sauce I ever had! Best chicken sandwich I ever had! There is a definite pattern… it is the best restaurant. Service was great too and the prices weren’t unreasonable.

Our server Kara was extremely rude when we asked about vegetarian options(there are none). Food took forever to come out and to top it off, the rice was cold and the salad was over dressed…

Fantastic! Was not expecting such a great meal passing through Spokane traveling. What a gem in a strip mall. Started off with beet salad with romaine and sweet dressing and pecans and goat cheese. Very delicious! Main course was crab ravioli and pasta bolognese. Both were outstanding. Bolognese was paired with arbor crest merlot which was great. And crab ravioli paired with Duckhorn pinot gris also spot on. Server Paul was attentive friendly professional. Met owner Cara friendly personable and very nice she took the time to chat and bus dishes! Will come back in a heartbeat.

Just had the most wonderful dinner at ambrosia bistro with a large crew of out of town guests. Pedro Vera, one of the chefs there, came out to personally make sure the entire table of 12 was happy. We loved the extra attention and would definitely eat there again. Thanks to him and everyone at ambrosia for a special night out! The food was top notch! Service exceptional!

We were traveling through Spokane and as oblivious travelers, who knew that everything closed early on Monday evenings… we found Ambrosias and we were very happy that we did. Wonderful atmosphere, awesome waiter and the Bistro Burger made with Wyugu beef was literally melt in your mouth wonderful. The only reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is the menu was kind of limited and the salad we received with our burger was extremely small. But we will definitely visit again if traveling through Spokane. Our only regret was we were unable to try any of the fabulous wine selections, we still had a few hours of driving ahead of us, boo !

Whenever we are trying to figure out where to go for dinner, Ambrosia is usually always on the list. I am someone who wants to always go to a new place I haven’t been before, but this restaurant is a staple for us. It is always delicious, has impeccable service, and the atmosphere is romantic without being stuffy. I have easily tried almost every menu item here and they have all been worth coming back for. I haven’t found many other restaurants(if any) that has an entire menu full of entrees I would order again. Here is a list of my top 3 entrees, though, to help narrow down your choices: Ginger teriyaki salmon on a cheesy risotto cake(just WOW. So much flavor!), chicken piccata(perfect balance of salt, tang, and acid. Juicy chicken) and the slow-cooked short ribs over horseradish mashed potatoes(melt in your mouth). If you are in the valley, make sure to go here. Writing this review is reminding me that I need to go there again this week.

Good ambiance, great customer service, and above average food! I am surprised this place isn’t busier. Yes, the menu is a little limited, but all the dishes we’ve tried has been very good.

I want to like Ambrosia, but it just isn’t working. I have been there for dinner twice and was disappointed both times. The menu says tofu is available on request, but upon looking at the menu I noticed that it might be difficult to substitute tofu for most of the options. Both times I was there I asked the server for a recommendation. The first time the server said they weren’t sure and last time the server was surprised when I pointed out that the menu says that tofu is available on request. He had to run to the kitchen to see if they had any. They didn’t :(I see other good reviews from vegetarians, so I was really optimistic. Maybe I just had bad luck each time I was there. On a positive note, the ambiance is nice! I would be willing to try Ambrosia again, people seem to really like it. I want to too!

My family and I have been coming to Ambrosia for the last 6 years, about once every other month. Mostly for dinner, as they have a great dinner menu. ¾/2015, last night my wife, 2 boys, and I set a reservation for a birthday dinner. By the way, most of the time you can walk right in, and get a table. But on Friday’s and Saturday’s, you better set a reservation, just in case. You will not be disappointed! My family and I got the usual drinks and appetizers, ie Chambord Kamikaze for me, and straight milk for the boys. The Kamikaze is a favorite, Happy Hour, selection, but I also like the Espressotini. The sweet potato fries and calamari are a special, before-dinner treat that my boys love. Did I mention that my boys are under 8 years old, and the ownership and staff have always accomodated us? They give the boys coloring books, and special kid’s menus that they can color on. My boys last night wanted grilled cheese sandwiches, which wasn’t even on the menu, I believe. Our server, who has waited on us before, didn’t even flinch. No problem. I always get the Cajun Pasta. It is something I cannot pass up. It has sausage, chicken, shrimp, bell peppers, mushrooms, onions, and a creamy, spicy sauce glazed over the top. This is one of my favorite meals ever! It has never disappointed! Since it was my birthday, they brought out a bread pudding that was amazing, accompanied by a bourbon ice cream scoop, that they make, and a vanilla bean scoop. I am not a dessert guy, but this is something I would get again! The parking is very convenient, with access to and from the restaurant made very easy. The owners are always there, and helping in any way they can. Some of the waiters and service staff have been there as long as we have been coming. So they remember us, and always make us feel very welcome. The next time you are in the Spokane Valley, looking for a cozy, dinner spot with amazing food and wonderful service, give Ambrosia a try. You’ll come back again!

This is my go to consistency in life. It took a few visits to nail down what is is on the menu I love, but once I had found my diamond in the rough, I have gone back time and time again. Literally, at least 2x per week for months now. This place is an ace for any business lunch, lunch with the ladies, adult eats and foodies for a daily munch. The food is consistent and fresh, which any food connisuer knows is practically an oxymoron. The key to Ambrosia though is the phenomenal customer service. The employees here are smart, genuine and walk the fine line of being personable without being personal. I cannot say enough about the quality of the staff. They are truly authentic servers who always go the extra mile to make everyone experience the pleasureable art of dining. True professionals all the way around. Perks: Wine menu Ahi Salad Custom/complicated order? No problem! Cleanliness and intimate environment Great pricing Fresh, expertly executed food, consistently

Clearly had a 5 star lunch experience at Ambrosia today. Had lunch with two business associates whom reside nearby. Obviously this is a place they frequent for a simple quality lunch. The French onion soup was flawless. Cheese was hot/bubbly and soup had a perfect flavorful beef broth. This item was textbook flawless. With my soup I had a half portion of the Ambrosia salad. Wow. The salad had flavor, texture and a wonderful light dressing. I savored every bite. Whom would have expected such a good soup and salad combo in Spokane on a chilly afternoon? The place had nice comfy booths and good tables. I liked it right away. Our waitress was attentive and on it. Coffee was refilled in seconds. This is a wonderful lunch choice in Spokane Valley. I shall return next month. Promise!

WOWWOWANDWOW Went here for dinner with my husband. The prices are a bit higher than we usually pay but it was a special date and the food was oh so worth it! I had the sweet potato appetizer… It was a poutine gone wild! A lovely curry sauce and goat cheese on the crispy sweet potatoes. SOYUM. For dinner I had the ambrosia salad with tofu… yes TOFU. As a veg eater it is always a treat to see tofu on the menu, but I must admit I am usually disappointed. Not this time! The big triangles of tofu had been grilled and had a wonderful charred aroma. What a treat to be offered tofu and to have it so expertly prepared! Funny thing is that the menu says you can sub tofu on any entrée. I laughed to my husband that I couldn’t imagine that they could sub tofu for short ribs successfully — after I got my salad I was pretty well convinced that they could! Oh my husband ate too… he had a mushroom and chicken soup that he declared lovely and the waygu beef burger was a hit. The kitchen had great timing. We had long enough to eat our appetizers and pause before our main dishes arrived. Too often the wait is far too long, or you end up with mains before the appetizers are half gone. This was just right. The only downside was that our waitress was slightly less attentive than we might have liked, but it was not bad service at all. I would strongly recommend this as a place for Vegans or Vegetarians as they have plenty of options and tofu treated with respect!

We enjoyed our lunch here — our friend said it was the best French Onion Soup she’d ever had! The server was familiar with all the wines and food choices, and we found their prices in line with the quality of the food. It is in rather a weird location, but is nicely decorated inside and quite a pleasant place.

My Mom and I stopped in for a quick glass of wine and an appetizer. Wow! The Sweet Potato fries were to die for. Every bite I tasted another fabulous flavor! The dinner menu looked a little pricey but I am more than willing to come back to give the entrees a try based in what I’ve had so far Additional info(was short on time last night). This is a nice gem in a location that you would not expect. Don’t judge the restaurant based on it’s location at the end of a strip mall by the railroad tracks. The atmosphere is classy, staff was friendly and attentive.
