This place is great! Al is a wonderful guy who is a superb craftsman. He fixed my boots in about 20 minutes and also fixed a strap on my leather flight bag. He is EXTREMELY reasonable on repair services. I would highly recommend his services to anyone looking for shoes that are not the Walmart cookie cutter crap from China! I bought a pair of logging boots for my husband and am not disappointed in ANYTHING. He never lied about the price (I read the review indicating a problem with pricing) and we dug thru BOXES of boots to find a pair that would be perfect. At 90 years old this guy has more energy than most young people and he sincerely wants you to be pleased with his product. I have another pair of boots to fix and will be back to have him work on them. I also put in a custom order for a pair of hiking boots. A refreshing and great find in today’s mass marketing world!

Got my «custom» boots there. After he quoted me a price and then it made its way to 150 $ more than he quoted me. That was all good you have to pay for quality right? My tongue literally ripped out of my left boot 7weeks after buying them. The ol Cruz solution was to glue and sew a chunky piece of scrap crap in my brand new boots that looked even worse than it sounds. My boots went from great and comfortable to they hurt so bad that I took them to NICKS to have them fixed properly. He makes a comfortable boot just pray that you never have to use that warranty! NEVER be back!!!

This man has been quietly making custom shoes in Spokane WA for 50 years. He measured me for a pair of amazing boots that will be handmade by him in about two weeks. His boots go for $ 1000 in Japan. Here’s an article about him from 2012:
