The food was good! It wasn’t the cleanest though. When we were getting our bowls some of them were dirty or had bits of food in them.

Went to Moons Mongolian grill on Division, last evening for the first and last time. I have never seen such a nasty place in all of my days on earth. The grill guy was working on the most disgusting and dirty grill top. Goober globs of oily debris was dripping off onto the floor the only thing that saved me from being sicker than I am was, the«food» was blazingly hot; killing most of the salmonella or greasy infectious sludge contained in the nasty conglomerate. If that sounds disgusting, then you should feel the gaseous, nauseous, pangs of pain I am feeling right now. Why I even put any of that nasty«food» into my mouth, was a mistake I will have to suffer with for the next few days. … WARNING *** NEVEREATATMOONSMONGOLIANGRILL! !!!

My husband, daughter, and I went to check this place out around 8pm a couple nights ago. Let me tell you first it is waaay better than Mongolian bbq and they do not water anything down, the sauce you add is what you add. for my husband and I it was 13.95 each for the all you can eat buffet and my daughter being 4 was only 4.00. they had a good selection of meats, fish, and noodles but it would be nice to see more greens(kale, spinach…). we added our sauces but it was limited as to what they had and we had to ask our cook I we could add the teriyaki sauce to our plates. The cook also adds the peanut sauce, plum sauce, garlic butter etc… but of course you have to request it. I liked my meal it was good but not great, I was excited to see that they had chili oil that you could add to your meal but after I added five scoops to my dish it was not spicy at all just a plate full of oil. I wanted to take the extra I had in my plate home but you are not allowed to take anything home if you pay for the all you can eat buffet. I was pretty upset though that it took us a while to get our waters and soda, mainly because the waitress was behind the cash register talking on her cell phone, when she saw me looking at her she ducked down under the desk so that she could finish her call.

I tried this place for the first time a couple months ago. I wasn’t impressed. The food was passable but the restaurant was dirty and we had to request clean glasses and silverware because there was food stuck to them. The staff was unfriendly and unkempt. I’ve never felt more unwelcome at a place I was going to give my money to.

Love this place, been going here since I was a kid, every time we had a chance but it’s really starting to change in bad ways. That place needs a make over and veggies cut properly. I love veggies but I shouldn’t be served quartered cut tomatoes, green onion or broccoli. Plus, it needs a good cleaning, deep clean and touched up walls. I love the fact they added celantro to their buffet line.

This is a simple Mongolian BBQ. Lots of veggies, make your own sauce, and return for seconds. No frills. Clean. Bar attached where group of senior citizens were having fun playing poker or something like that. A good place to bring kids and not worry about fanciness or shooting your budget in the foot.

Middle of the road 3 star. Moon’s Mongolian Grill is fine place to eat; however, don’t go there if you are seeking a great dining experience. Moon’s is kinda, well, eh… We went at 7 pm on a Sunday night; the restaurant was less than 20% full. — The Mongolian grill experience was fine. There was a nice selection of meats and vegetables. Nothing great, just what you expect. Most items were fresh-ish, kinda; it was all edible, but not really that great looking, not bad though. The choices of flavors and oils weren’t bad, I have seen more at other places. The chef on the grill did a good job, but lacked any sort of personality. Overall the food quality and choice wasn’t bad. — The overall restaurant was kinda dirty, not bad, just needed cleaning after a dinner service. The food bar was a bit messy, not bad. — The atmosphere is dated, a bit worn, not bad. — The prices were fair, about what you expect to pay. My overall experience was fine. Moon’s could do so much more to make itself so much more appealing. I wish that my review was more specific, but Moon’s left me, well, kinda stuck in the middle. This was my third visit. Will I return? I haven’t decided. Moon’s is fine, but I don’t want to spend money on a place that is just fine and not good or great.

Moon’s is right next door to my work so I figured I give it a try. It was a-ok. Nothing to write home about, can’t imagine myself going back unless they get about $ 3 cheaper. My waitress was kind if a little overwhelmed as she was tackling lunch by herself. It was a pleasant enough time and just that.

Always our favorite. Good service, good pricing, and a fabulous cook, that can cook mine perfectly. I am hard to cook for, like mine well done, and want to see some black. Perfect every time. Highly recommend.

Took my family here for dinner. Five of the six of us had chicken. In my bowl I put chicken and pork. After having eaten about ½ my meal, I took a bite of chicken and had to instantly spit it out. It was VERY obviously spoiled. My husband who was skeptical that it was actually spoiled took a bite and also had to spit it right back out. I took a piece of chicken from my six year old’s plate and smelled it. It smelled like dead people. At this point we had all stopped eating(obviously) and called the waitress over. She smelled the chicken and then took my plate and my sons plate away to show to her manager. A few moments later someone came out to the buffet and mixed the chicken around a bit and removed only a few pieces, leaving the majority of it in the mix. Yuck! The waitress returned saying the manager thinks we just put bad seasoning on it. I’m not sure what kind of seasoning could have made it smell or taste like it did. She said, «The chicken can’t be bad it’s still frozen.» She also encouraged us to have a new plate of food with different meat in it. After seeing how they responded to not just sort of iffy meat but really STINKY, ROTTEN meat we were not inclined to dish up again. She then told me they were taking 2 of our dinners off the bill and comping us our sodas(½ of us had water). I told her that was not good enough. Five of us had eaten their rancid chicken. She said there was nothing she could do. I asked to speak with the manager she said he wasn’t there. Even though she had just spoken to him 5 minutes earlier. I yelled a little about being asked to pay $ 60 for rotten food. She said that I could not expect to feed my whole family for free. I agree with this concept but have a problem with being charged for the privilege of getting food poisoning. As soon as the impending vomiting and diarrhea stop I just may see if I can lodge a complaint with the health department. STAYAWAY from this place. They don’t care if their food is spoiled, and they certainly don’t care about their customers. I wish I could give it no stars.

It’s hard to believe that I lived in Spokane for a month without eating Mongolian, hands-down my favorite cuisine. We went for a late lunch. The waitress came out & seated us a few minutes after we arrived. She asked if we were having the special, and we asked what that was. She said it was all-you-can-eat Mongolian with a bowl of rice, so we said that was what we were having. My husband ordered the white rice, while I got the fried rice. For lunch, they have chicken, pork, beef, krab, & cod available. There are many fresh vegetables available, and 3 kinds of noodles — udon-style, ramen-style, & shirataki-style. Every container was well-stocked with fresh-looking food. There was a wide selection of sauces available, plus a list of additional sauces you could request. I had 2 plates of food cooked at different times by 2 different cooks; both times my food came back burned. The fried rice was not flavorful & greasy, so I only had one bite of it. I read on the menu that I could’ve had egg flower soup instead of rice for the special, so maybe next time I will try that. Despite my food being burned, I enjoyed all the fresh vegetables so I will probably come back for another lunch sometime. They serve a wider selection of meat at dinner for an increased cost, but I was satisfied with what was available for lunch.

We have enjoyed this restaurant in the past(several years ago) and ate there tonight. The only reason I give this review two stars is that the food was«OK.» The rest of the experience was simply stomach turning as the table, the floor, the entrance sidewalk and every window was nothing short of filthy. The windows looked like someone had intentionally wiped them with a greasy towel and as the sun shown through them, you could see every time the towel touched the glass and every direction of every wipe. The grill was black with burned grease and when the food was hot, he wiped the food onto your plate leaving the bottom layer on the grill rather than wipe the black residue onto your plate. We will never be back.

Hmm. I would have to agree with others. Not the best and not the worst. The customer service was fantastic! They even went to the effort of tying a rubber band to create chopstick training sticks for children. The food was a little overdone, even burnt at times. I noticed it was just inconsistent. If I remember Moons was one of the first if not the first Mongolian Grill and just wonderful. Actually, one of of the best Mongolian Grills anywhere. That was a long long time ago when they in the old location next door. I will give them another chance, but I wonder what happened.

I’ve eaten at number of Mongolian grills. This one is ok. I’m vegetarian, so I thought I should let my kind know they do have tofu and noodles. The interior is a little shabby. It is all you can eat and is still 15.00 person.
I would rate this place as just«Okay», sort of the Sharis of Mongolian Grills. We came in at 8:30pm on a Tuesday night, and we were the only diners in the whole place. I know it was past dinner hour, but geez, that is always a bad sign. It started out encouraging: There was plentiful beef, chicken and lamb stocked. There were also lots of fresh veggies to choose from. Unfortunately, there were no rice noodles or tofu, which I can overlook. What I can’t overlook is the lack of sauces. You can have all the meat and veggies in the world, but without anything decent to flavor them with, it’s pointless. Unless you like salt, then you’ll love it. «Salty» seems to be the only available flavor. I think the prices are too high. 1 adult meal, 1 child meal and 2 sodas was $ 30 plus tip. We could have gone to a nice Chinese restaurant and had leftovers for the next day for $ 30. If you want excellent Mongolian, make the trip to HuHot in the valley. They have excellent service, great appetizers and amazing sauces. Sorry, Moons, we won’t be back.

This place is decent. I won’t say it’s great nor will i say it’s bad. It’s just that I am used to much fancier(for lack of a better word) Mongolian grills. The meat choices here are decent, I stuck to chicken. They do not have tofu! The vegetable options are decent, they even have baby bok choy! Noodles — oh my! They have two different types which is nice for people who have a gluten intolerance like one of my guests, but they are lacking descriptions with the two different noodle choices they have! Their flour noodles were a little too overcooked. Soggy noodles are not good! Sauce selections are fair, but their lemon was SUPER strong as it overpowered my finished dish with not even a whole scoop for the whole bowl. A nice touch they have is additional sauces near the grill. One of the cooks asked me if I’d like some poured on while it was cooking, another cook didn’t. Oh! Don’t think you’ll be forgotten about when you need refills… the waitress must have refilled my guests glass 4 or 5 times AFTER he said he didn’t need anymore, BUT better than no attention at all! :)

I will keep this short and to the point: — $ 15+ for dinner = rip off — The sauce selection is mediocre at best — Vegetables were not fresh — Felt sick after eating here I will never have Mongolian on this side of the state again.
