North Sweet Frostings Blissful Bakeshop

Despite what some people will say, Spokane has several delicious and wonderful bakeries beyond what you can find in any grocery store.
Sweet Frostings was the first bakery I ever had outside of grocery stores and they are just delicious. They have a varied menu, with not just cupcakes, and everything is vibrant and cheerful and just makes you happy.
Their cake is super duper moist and fluffy, and the buttercream frosting is decadent and delicious and not too sweet (though some may disagree depending on sensitivity to sweetness).
My fiancé and I are considering ordering our wedding cake from this establishment, and that’s something we wouldn’t do if we didn’t like their cake!

My wife’s birthday was coming up and I know how much she likes German chocolate cake. Thanks to fellow Unilocalers reviews and the informative Sweet Frostings website, I opted to get a 6″ round German chocolate. The guy who took my order was very helpful — I wanted a birthday message on the cake and he asked what color fondant I wanted the message on. They were able to write my message on the perfect color of blue and put it on the side of the cake.
As for the cake itself, it was delicious. Very flavorful, moist and rich. The frosting was super thick, almost fudge-​y — I definitely recommend you pace yourself so you don’t have am insane sugar high. I also picked up two cupcakes for friends and they oohed and ahhed over them. Definitely a good find, this place. Next time I’m in town, I’ll go in for a cupcake.

I did not realize how attractively this bakery packages single cupcakes to go! Your cupcake is placed inside a transparent, plastic, gift box that is custom fit so that the cupcake becomes a perfect, anytime gift for someone special!

I am a huge fan of Sweet Frostings. To Do what Sally & Judy have done in a bad economy is a testament to how good the product and idea of an upscale bakery was.

Every time I come back at this shop I love it more.
The staff is friendly and helpful. They will go out of their way to help you choose and decide on what you want. You can ask them about the cupcakes flavors and they go in detail about icing and cake telling you what they are flavored.
The cupcakes have just the right amount of icing on them. They are not overwhelmed by frosting so you cannot taste the cake. I know some people insist that icing is the best part but there is such thing as too much icing. I love the amount Sweet Frostings puts on their cupcakes.
There is a rotating flavor availability depending on day and the shop posts the flavors available each morning on facebook. This makes it fun to try different cupcakes and know when the one you love is available.
The shop is pleasant to sit in and enjoy your cupcake. they have free water available, various drinks, and a selection of other baked goods as well (cinnamon buns, macarons, and cakes made to order).
I will definitely be heading back there again soon because this shop is wonderful.

Ever since I discovered Sweet Frostings over a year ago, I’ve been a frequent visitor of the downtown location. I recently moved north and I’m so glad they have a second location here! It’s just as great, if not better since it’s more spacious and even has a cute little party room that’s all nicely decorated to their Tiffany’s blue and coral color theme. Their cupcakes are melt-​in-​your-​mouth delicious. I love how moist the cake is. There is good reason why they are voted Best of Spokane and they were only opened few years ago. I honestly think Sprinkles Cupcake would have competition if they ever came to Spokane!
Best of all, they have happy hour (½ off cupcakes) on Saturday from 8−9pm, which means they are opened until much later than the downtown location. It is located inside the Wandermere shopping center, so there is plenty of parking as well.

My friend recommended I try this place out since I love sweets. I’m glad I went! Staff immediately greeted me with a smile and I told them it was my first time. She gave me a sample of the orange-​sicle cupcake. Wow, best orange cupcake I’ve had! I brought one for my bf and a cookie dough one for me! The cupcakes had a lot of frosting on them and tasted heavenly! I definitely recommend this place if you want a treat for yourself or loved ones. Also, it seems very child friendly so I recommend it as a place to take your kids for a treat. It almost reminded me of an old fashion candy shop except with cupcakes.
