As a frequenter of GEG I’ve ate here a few times — the food was never horrible, but definitely not something I’d choose to eat given the choice of eating on the way to the airport. I haven’t posted a review in a long time on Unilocal but figured this was worth logging in for but today’s experience here made me pretty bummed. I just tried eating there(June 282016 ~1130am). I sat down for about 15 minutes but never got served. I made eye contact with one of the two ladies serving the restaurant but no one ever came by. I saw another table get food and another couple who sat down get menus but not a single person came by. I was a little annoyed at this point and figured maybe they were closed. I went up to the two ladies who were chatting and asked them if they were open/serving or closed. One of them told me they were closed… they obviously weren’t. I figured it wasn’t worth the effort and had Starbucks next door. This airport has pretty crappy restaurants — Starbucks could easily out do both of the C terminal restaurants by simply existing in the building.

Slow and terrible service, bland and way over priced food. Go to Starbucks next door.

I got the spinach salad. It was really gross. It tasted like old socks(if I knew what that tasted like) … they served it on a freaking paper plate like really??? AND it cost $ 13! Even the beer had a weird taste.

Terrible food. Terrible service. Rip off prices. Zero bang for the buck and dirty glassware. I’d rather starve before getting to my next destination than to experience this place again.

This was the most disgusting salad I have EVER had… and I am a billy-goat when it comes to eating. First of all, no $ 15.00 salad at a sit down establishment should be served on a plastic plate, second the whole thing was warm. Everything was warm, even the guacamole on the top was warm. There was so much iceburg lettuce on the plate that if you tried to push your fork in the few toppings and lettuce would fall off the sides of the small plate. The chicken that I tried had the texture of not being completely cooked. This was the first time I have ever refused to pay for a meal. I was not looking for free meal, but I(or my company) was not going to pay for such a piss-poor excuse for a Cobb Salad… oh, and there was no dressing on the salad. The funny part is that staff was shocked that I didn’t like it.

The food was general pub fare, burgers and sandwiches, so you get what you expect. I ordered the pub burger, which did not take more than 5 – 10 minutes from ordering it to it being served. A good serving size of fries, not overly salted, thick cut. Burger was a good temp, and I’m assuming they are all prepared the same as I want asked how I’d like it done. My disappointment was the lack of a local beer on tap. Their craft beers on tap were an Alaskan Amber and Shocktop, otherwise it was your typical Bud and whatnot. I’d eat there again, assuming I’m stuck for a layover in Spokane’s airport near a meal time in the c terminal, mostly because of lack of options.

I don’t even think that one star should be at the minimum on this screening. The food in my opinion have less quality than your average fast food restaurant. I’ve had much better service at used car dealerships. The waitress I had was completely condescending, I don’t know if it was from her much older age, or just an inability to realize that some people actually can think things out. The next time that I’m in Spokane I will go to a bar before I even get onto airport grounds.

Beer at the airport Food at the airport TV at the airport You’re at the airport … the Spokane Washington Airport … aka GEG. You want a beer. You want food. You want to watch TV. Welcome to the Spokane Tap Room. It’s a small one-room cubby at Spokane Airport where you’ll find all three. In fact, it seemed to be the only place on site to find the airport trifecta of beer, food, and TV. I popped in for a large draft IPA that was cold, refreshing, and hoppy. The place was packed so the poor waitress was so busy running back and forth. I felt bad for her, but was impressed that she never let the rush seem to get to her. A Buffalo Bleu Burger was a dry Beef patty flavored with mild Buffalo Wing Sauce, Mayo, and Bleu Cheese for an interesting, but not great hamburger. Even less inspiring, but equally filling was a Chicken Quesadilla with dollops of Sour Cream and Salsa on the side. The Spokane Tap Room is a-ok when you are at the Spokane Airport and you have the triple need of a beer, food, and a TV.

The waiting area was packed and this place was empty. We quickly found out that there was a reason for that. There was a woman sitting and reading the paper at the counter when we arrived: she turned out to be the waitress. We noticed that none of the items on the outside menu or the table cards had any prices. That’s always a bad sign. There were four of us and my 20 month old grandson. We went to push two tables together in the corner so that my grandson could sit on the bench and not need a high chair and the waitress shouted, «You can’t move the tables! They are in sections!» She was the only staff person there and there was NOONE else in the place. Sections? Really? She was so hostile and nasty that we left and waited in the LOOOOONNNNNGGG line at the Starbucks next to this place. Her behavior, attitude and lack of customer service skills explained why Starbucks had such a long line and was sold out of pastries and sandwiches as well as why the other vendor on the other side was also sold out of sandwiches, fruit and beverages. Maybe this place is just a front for drug money? At least it would serve a purpose then…

for an airport bar, it does just fine. nice location to the alaska gates. food is pricey and nothing to write home about, but the wine pours are generous.

Flight was delayed for a few hours so all passengers received a food voucher. It was LATE, like 10 at night and the little restaurant was packed not one open seat, I actually stood and got mine to go. There was only one waitress at the time, and I bet only one cook. Man, for how crazy it was, Jennifer the waitress was very calm and very efficient. I was impressed. I ordered the grilled chicken bacon Swiss sandwhich, and it was DELISH!!! The fries not so much, but the sandwhich was really really good. I was a little nervous with all the people, but it was damn good. You did awesome and I thought you should know. Ps… Another waitress showed up midway through and did an awesome job as well. Great job ladies. I hope you got tipped well!

I mean, you can’t be surprised with the overpriced, underwhelming food — it’s the airport. It’s the same song and dance at all airports. I came here and just got a beer, and not a tall one. With tip I think it was all about $ 10. Pricey, yes. But what are you going to do. I saw some of the«flat bread» dishes that came out and I was glad I didn’t get one because it looked pretty sad. I’m sure the salads and burgers were a bit better. My waitress was sweet and efficient. Typical airport bar. Pretty tiny, seating seemed a bit cramped. Otherwise, it was okay.

It’s a trap! Overpriced, I know it’s airport prices but it’s pretty ridiculous to pay over $ 8 for a pint of Shocktop! For those who don’t know Shocktop is a Anhieser-Busch product marketed as a micro. Generally the the kegs are around $ 100 vs real micro beer beer at $ 160 a keg. So even more over priced. They card every one which is also annoying. The bar area has a divider bar from the seating area which makes the bar cramped and hard to navigate especially with bags. They need prices on the beer menu and rethink the that pole. I had a heaping shot of Jameson and a delicious IPA when I got back to Portland airport for only $ 7 go figure…

the spokane tap room was the only one of the two restaurants open on the Alaska Airline terminal at high noon on a saturday. i should have drank my lunch. instead i ordered the chicken cobb salad for $ 13.99. there was too much food on the small plastic plate so the food kept falling out on the the table. if you put that clear plastic dome cover on this plastic plate of food, the salad could easily go into the take-away refrigerated case along with other salads and wrapped cold sandwiches available for sale. there was guacamole(?!) on the cobb salad but it had oxidized into a dark green grey color so i had to scrape it off the plate. the chicken was large strips i had to cut, and it was warm in irregular spots which was very odd. maybe the microwave did not do a good job of re-heating. the ranch dressing was suspect. the hamburger and fries delivered to the table next to me looked alot better than my salad. the wait staff was very friendly and immediately called out a greeting to everyone that stepped foot into the restaurant. my waitress checked on me twice and filled my water. the food was not the fault of the wait staff.

Awful, even for airport food. The $ 16 shrimp tacos had 2 cocktail shrimp each and a full head of shredded lettuce. Looked & tasted like a 7 year old made it. Save your time & money and just get a sandwich at Starbucks next door.

I came here to have a sat and relax before my flight. I ordered the shrimp tacos here and a beer. The menu is a typical beer/bar joint menu with burgers, sandwiches, soups and other random items. The tacos were alright, shrimp was slightly overcooked and there was way too much lettuce on my tacos. The beer was delicious as always though. The service was good, pretty fast which is good at the airport.
