When I brought my child in for the the first time to sign up I was like wow this is sylvan! Not what I expected at all! The building looked outdated and inside was even worst! The furniture was so gross I didn’t even want to sit on it! I almost walked out but I thought to myself let’s just try it out for a little bit, I was desperate to help my child do better in school and have heard good things about sylvan. I had the appointment with Rod and I totally felt rushed so again I said to myself let’s just try it out! So I gave this place 3 stars because of the initial set up part of going for the first time. We have only been going for a few weeks so I will come back and give an update! So far my child really likes it and says the teachers are really nice! Our first lesson was not a good impression for me! We arrived and didn’t know what to do or where to go because no one explained anything to us so we had to figure it out ourselves! We went back and went to the table that my child was assigned to and I told her this was our first time so I hope we are at the right table? Finally the lady that was in charge came over to me and brought me to her office and again I felt very rushed and she wanted me to sign all these papers and she really didn’t explain much at all! I didn’t like this place at all at this point! I told my husband that we would see how it goes and if my child is doing good and likes it then I guess that’s all that matters! I do hope for other people that go here if sylvan is as good as people say then they need to get there communication skills up and not rush people around an explain things better and how there system works maybe hire more people that set up the paperwork and explain things to parents! I tell you if I wasn’t so desperate I would have walked out so fast! Oh and update your building people looks are everything too good paying customers they Don’t want to come to a place that looks run down!
