I Love this place!!! I was Dr. Kaiser client for a long time, my family and I bring our pets here for more than 25 years, I was sad to hear that he retired but we saw it coming. I like the new vet Dr. Zito she is wonderful and a very caring person to the pets you could tell she has a lot of experience. The prices are still great compared to other clinics and hospital, it is a little wait at this moment do to the construction but it is worth it, I think everyone should give her a try, I will definitely will still bring in my lovely Zoey, Mack, and Shadow here. I RECOMENDED

Dr. Kaiser and his wife retired in November 2016 — after working at the clinic for over THIRTY YEARS! They deserve to spend their «golden years» traveling in their motor home and enjoying life without worrying about running a veterinary hospital.
I brought my 7 year old dog in who wasn’t acting right. Dr. Zito immediately diagnosed that she had an infection in her uterus. She took her into surgery that day and did the spay surgery. Now my dog is acting like a young puppy again!

I have taken my cats to Dr. Kaiser for a few years since an emergency urinary blockage that almost killed me cat. He did everything right, and my cat is healthy and happy.
I even talked my roommate into using him.
She went the other day to renew her flea treatment script, and said she didn’t recognize the place — she waited (with an appointment) for over 50 minutes, only to be told that Dr. Kaiser had retired months ago.
I am stunned, frankly, at his secretive move. Not even a card of notice to his loyal customers?
He even left Woody the parrot behind!
My friend said how disorganized it was, and was told repeatedly, «it’ll just be a minute or two.»
I am so embarrassed.

I have been bringing my cats to Dr. Kaiser for years! Today my husband went in just to get flea medicine, and he was told that Dr. Kaiser and his wife ‘retired’. I was kind of taken back because they didn’t let us know. I mean, after all we had been a customer for at least 5 years! Dr. Kaiser, his wife Sandy, Michelle and Mary are all wonderful people! They were always accommodating to my cats needs, and at a very reasonable price. Every time I’ve been in there the office and exam rooms were clean. Michelle, the Vet assistant always did an upstanding job with my cat Zoey. She is a long hair calico, and always needed ‘cleaning up’ and Michelle was always there to help. I will miss Dr. Kaiser and Sandy. I hope the new vet will keep the same prices and will take care of my cats as well. I also hope Michelle will stay on!

So sorry to find that Dr. Kaiser and his wife have retired and are no longer here. I have brought my animals to them for decades, and they will be enormously missed. Glad they have time off now. We will see how the facility does now.
To the person who wrote the negative review 6 days ago — that was NOT the vet who has been here for years!

This is basically a brand new pet clinic. Disregard any comments about Dr Kaiser and his wife. They left unexpectedly and this is a completely different practice in the same location. Note that I am deducting an extra star for their deceitful practices. One lady at the front admitted that she’s been instructed not to tell people that Dr. Kaiser is gone.
I wish I’d known before I took my dog in got a surgery. The vet there didn’t even bother to come out and introduce herself. Basically a total stranger who didn’t know my dog at all cut her open.
That said, it appears they did a competent job. My dog isn’t dead. They promised to call me as soon as she was out of surgery and I never got a call. The girls up front are completely lost and obviously new to the clinic and system. I just don’t have a lot of faith due to the bumbling and the deception over who runs the practice. Don’t bring your animals here till this new vet (don’t even know her name because again, she never introduced herself and no one said it) until there are actual reviews of the NEW vet. She’s obviously not endorsed by Dr Kaiser.

This is the WORST place I’ve ever taken my animals!!! I’ve had dogs ALL my life and used to take them to Mast Blvd pet hospital in Santee. GREAT PLACE! Very clean and extremely nice and knowledgeable staff! Then I moved to Lemon Grove and started taking my babies to Dr Kaiser. HUGE MISTAKE! Very filthy «hospital», Michele, their «vet tech» has ABSOLUTELY NO clue on how to deal with or even treat animals. The whole staff is oblivious as to proper animal treatment. It’s very clear NO ONE has had ANY FORMAL training whatsoever. Because of this places’ lack of compassion and/​or knowledge one of my dogs died at their hands! TERRIBLE TERRIBLE dump! If you love your animal PLEASE DON’T RISK THEIR LIFE BY TAKING TO THIS DUMP!!!

Dr Kaiser and staff are wonderful. The practice is small and reminds me of a country vet. He has been treating my fur babies for years. When it came down to having to put my sweet Callie cat down (cancer) he came to the house and was so caring while she passed. The next week, my other cat had seizures and we had to put her to sleep. I was upset because I had a paw print made of Calle but not the kit for MIss Beans. Dr Kaiser whipped up some plaster of paris and promised to provide me with a paw print in the next few days., and he did.
I have recommended him to several friends and will continue to do so.

This vet is amazing and so kind hearted with the animals. I took my dog for vaccines and a physical, very affordable! I will keep coming back as a regular.

SV Animal Medial Hospital is the best I have found In the area. Dr. Kaiser is the most caring vet and everyone who works there is knowledgeable and most friendly. We bring all 3 of our dogs to him and never worry about them. Prices are affordable and the care is the best.
Would not consider taking our «kids» anywhere else. 5+ stars to this place.

Does your Vet meet you at his office in the middle of the night when you need him? Mine does!
With Dr Kaiser your pet is in the very best of hands. He is caring, experienced and considerate of your finances. We have taken our dogs to him for the last six years and I wish we had found him earlier. Not only is he the best Vet we have ever been to but he is also the most affordable and has on several occasions found ways for us cut costs because he is upfront and truthful about which test/​procedures are necessary and which are not and considers all your options.
We have had a few emergencies with our dogs and have called him and left messages with him on his day off and during the middle of the night. He has always called us back within 5 minutes and then either met us at his office or told us what we needed to do. This alone has saved us thousands of dollars in emergency vet bills that we didn’t have to accrue.
The friendly and quality service provided by Dr Kaiser and his staff is worth far more than what they charge. We absolutely love our vet and highly recommend Spring Valley Animal Medical Hospital!

Dr,. Kaiser has been my moms vet since she was 13 years old and (she is now 50) and my vet since I was a little girl. we have been through more then 6 dogs and 5 cats with him. HE is amazing with my animals and with me. He is very honest with the situation and always has the best interest for me and my pets. I absolutely love Dr. Kaiser, his wife and all of his staff. He has been around for a very long time and knows what he is doing. He has laughed with me, loved me dogs and even when it has come to put them to sleep because of old age he is there hugging my mom and I. He is a great vet and a great person!

Thank you Dr Kaiser for 20 plus years of service you have saved my dogs from so many mishaps and I know without your love and compassion they would not still be with me today

I absolutely LOVE Dr. Kaiser!
Such a personal and caring vet. He tells you like it is but with compassion. He has never once shied away from any procedure that is out of his expertise.
I have been going to Dr. Kaiser for about 20 years now. He has seen many of my pets as well as many of my friends and families animals. He is all-​in-​all, just an awesome person!
Dr. Kaiser and his staff even go a step further and get to know their patients humans, as well. I had an unfortunate family emergency once, and I was unable to pick up my dog by closing time. Dr. Kaiser came back to the clinic to meet me after hours, so that I could pick up my poor dog that had just had surgery. Just warmed my heart! I was even greeted with a big hug… Such a caring person.
His vet tech, Michelle, is great! Super personable… always remembers me and my dogs and makes it a point to say «hi» whenever she sees me. Greats my animals before she even says hello to me…
The clinic is a bit older than most, but that adds to the charm. So, don’t be put off by appearance. They will treat you and your pets better than most places.
I only have one complaint–
The front desk woman that has an English accent could be nicer. I think she may mean well, bit her attitude kinda stinks.
Other than her– SVAH will forever remain my families vet!

I was referred here by a friend, after going to Miramar Vet, let me tell you, this guy is so down to earth, awesome, and friendly. LOW COSTS! Friendly staff as well!
He was aware of costs and referred me to a specialist for my dogs issue (which I have next Tue), as he advised me to get a 2^nd opinion (because he hadn’t seen this issue before). I appreciate that honesty and him telling me the issue is something he’s not seen in several years of veterinary care. He advised me to get the XRays and the like done at the specialist, as he didn’t want to do them here, and rake up mu cost. Much appreciated!

I have been to many vets and find Dr. Kaiser the best of the best. Not only do I take my dog’s there, my family has all changed over to him and agree he is the best.
His prices are AWESOME and he is so honest.

Dr. Kaiser is the kindest, most caring, sensitive, and concerned Dr. I have ever known. Dr. Kaiser (and Mrs. Kaiser, who often works at the office) go above and beyond to help people and their pets. Dr. Kaiser always returns my calls promptly and is never too busy to answer any questions or concernsI may have. He has been my vet for over 20 years and I feel so fortunate to have him there for all of my pets needs. He is so honest and there is never any need to wonder if he is doing unnecessary procedures. I cannot express what a wonderful man and excellent vet Dr. Kaiser is a true asset to his profession.

I was referred to Dr. Kaiser by a friend of mine. He said so many great things about him and his employees that I thought I would give him a try. I had bad experiences with other vet hospitals/​clinics. I had been on a hunt for a new, friendly, reasonable pricing place to call close to home for my two beagles. Most of all, I want to know those who I leave my babies with, will definitely take care of them. Dr. Kaiser’s pricings are all so convenient. He does not try to feed in lies or make money off of anyone without consulting what is TRUTHFULLY best. His staff is great as well, I couldn’t complain about any of them. It makes me happy that my beagles wag their tails every time they see them. It shows they enjoy their presence and they treat them well.

Dr. Kaiser has been our vet for over 20 years. He is an excellent animal doctor, deeply compassionate about all types of animals. He has provided care for our cats, dogs, rats, and even our pig. He always has a sense of humor, which puts me to ease during my visits. He makes sure I stand in front of my dogs when he examines them so that they feel most comfortable. He doesn’t try to talk you into unnecessary procedures — he tells you like it is and let’s you decide the best course of action.
I have never met a vet as professional as Dr. Kaiser. I highly recommend him to others.
