Slam on your brakes and turn into the parking lot quick and a couple steps you’re inside. Huge signs advertising fresh fruit for cents. An open air market with fans blasting the summer time hot air around. The fruits were ready to be eaten that day or the next day. Hence the cheap prices. For example: 3 huge grapefruits for $ 1 and Whole watermelon for 99 cents but the Hass avocados were $ 1.49 and mangos were 3 for $ 1. There were a handful of customers and I recommend going early.

This is a nice little produce stand. They have big signs out front advertising the latest sales and you can get a lot of something at a really low price when it’s in season. The only downside is that it’s usually ripe right then so you need to eat it fast or find some way to preserve it!

I love this place because it’s very hard not to get a good deal. I love to get bananas and walnuts from here. The big signs they always have out front are always helpful and remind me of things I need to get. The parking is a little scary, but that won’t stop me from coming.

The boondocks of Spring Valley/Jamul aren’t my first choice of places to spend my free time. That said, I spent my Thanksgiving out in a pretty rural stretch of the county, and I needed to grab some groceries along the way. Steele Canyon Produce was essentially the only option. The main reason I stopped by this random roadside hole-in-the-wall was for yams. And there were indeed lots of yams, but I also picked up pears, apples, grapes, and walnuts. Pretty much everything was super-ripe and had to be eaten right away. Lots more food was way past ripe and needed to be thrown out — the bananas especially. There’s also a few small aisles of nonperishables, and a small refrigerated section with the usual eggs, butter, and milk. Whole Foods, this ain’t. Most of the staff didn’t speak English, but I’ve gotten pretty comfortable with hand-waving my way through a monetary exchange. I was quickly on my way, ready to make some tasty roasted yams for a delicious Thanksgiving din-din.

Perfect white peaches. Awesome Washington cherries!!! 6−26−14. Juicy, not too sweet peaches. I liked the cherries, not tart.

After I get my hair done at Studio 94, I stop at SCP even if I don’t need anything. This time I bought some Oscar’s salsa(yummy) and a few other odds & ends. Everything is reasonably priced and the staff is always friendly.

Ok the prices are good. Only reason I come is when my mom specifically asks me to get something from here. As for myself, the rude cashier always reminds me of why I hate coming here. Not one hello or hi. She doesn’t even tell you how much your total is. she expects you to look at the register. Sorry I rather pay extra at grocery stores than deal with a rude woman with no personality. Never coming again. Next time my mom can come herself. Not one more penny. too bad. Might as well get a self check out. The machine at Albertsons is more friendly. At least they talk to you!

Fantastic Prices. They have a lot of everything. Sometimes they will have a local organic collection that will come for remarkably cheap, and big and healthy… but sometimes a little strange shaped because it’s supposed to be like that! Only 4 stars because the veggies sometimes seem a day or two older than it would be at Safeway.

Good Prices, Tasty fruits & veggies. I’ve been coming here a lot since I moved to Jamul. You can get a whole basket of produce for around $ 30. besides fresh produce, they have a cooler section with different juices and dairy items. What I really love from the cooler section is their SALSA! Sooo yummy. They don’t have EVERY type of produce available(I bought a bunch of stuff yesterday, but they didn’t have Beets or Fresh Mint) but it is waaayyyy cheaper than the bigger chain markets.

Hi, Be aware of the amount they charge, ask for receipt, mainly the older cashier in the morning, she has a bad habbit of over charge you. Good luck

VERY good prices! Good selection of fruits and vegetables. Quality is good, but sometimes the quality can be so-so. I think they import a lot from Mexico, so just always take a close look at the produce. I would reccommend them to others and convenient right off the 94 freeway.

If you are ever on the 94 heading east past Rancho San Diego or heading back from Jamul, Dulzura, or Campo stop by this little produce market. Their prices are very reasonable compared to supermarkets. They carry a variety of fruits and vegetables. They also carry tortillas beverages.

I used to only get our family’s produce at farmers markets & street fairs… then I found this place! They have delicious, fresh fruits and veggis as well as homemade salsas and tortilla chips.

The name says it all. They sell produce. Great place to pick up some fruit and vegetables for cheap. If it’s in season they usually have it on special and fresh. Sometimes a few things look a little questionable but overall great place to stop by. They also sell local honey by the pound for a good price. Ignore the map, its off of Highway 94(Campo Rd) in Jamul.
