I used to love this place but i refuse to eat there anymore. The margaritas are FANTASTIC! But i have seen roaches crawling on the ground and the tables. DISGUSTING! It’s a shame because the workers are very nice, and the food used to taste good, but i do not want to eat roaches. Sorry guys but fix the problem. Kill the bugs, clean up the place and keep it clean.

Food was decent. Went in for small dinner. Nachos. They were stingy on the meat. The service was not so good. We were one of four tables and our waitress was SOOO dang slow. I mean she was not in a rush for anything. Probably won’t be back unless we are hard up for Mexican food.

Been a fan of this place until recently. Got fajitas for two and you’d think they’d at least know how to cut the meat! All pieces were cut with the grain. ALL of them. Which made it chewy and damn near impossible to eat in a tortilla. Told the boss and he didn’t seem too concerned, but apologized. Then the buss boy came and started cleaning our table before we even got the check or said we were done which made us feel not welcome. 80 bucks later, we won’t be back for a long time if ever.

With so many Mexican restaurants, you can bypass this. Some non traditional tex mex options. Friendly service, but food is just okay.

We were at the Niftee50ees car show on Saturday and decided to stop in for some Mexican food. Good choice. The service was a little slow but the chips and salsa made up for the wait which is the reason I still gave 5 stars. I have eaten here before and will go back again if, and when, I am in that area. Nice place, good food, friendly staff.

Terrible waitress, said virtually nothing the entire lunch. Never checked to see if my drink needed filling or how was the meal. Picked up my plate and again said nothing. Returned with my check and again said nothing. Her tip by the way was also nothing. The food was ok but I would not recommend it to anyone.

I got the Cameron Enbrochette and an a la carte cheese enchilada. The brochette were large and well stuffed.

This was my first time coming to La Cabana and it will be my last. The service was awful. The girl who waited on us never introduced herself, brought me my drink and THEN decided to ID me after it was already in front of me, but not my boyfriend next to me who is the same age. It took her about 20 minutes to even come to our table. Then the first thing I told her is that we wanted water and it never was brought to us even after asking 4 times. Finally when she brought our check I asked for water again and she came and refilled my father’s water cup and put it in front of me…(???) We asked if she could turn the fans on outside and she said, «uhh. maybe,» and never turned them on or reported to us what was going on with that. We asked if they had champagne, the answer was«um I don’t know.» «I don’t know» was literally the answer for everything. No apologies, no let me go find out for you, nothing! She brought my dad a refill for his margarita and it was the wrong one, didn’t apologize, just said, «oh well it looked like it was the other margarita.» I ordered the chile relleno plate and got an appetizer size plate with only the stuffed pepper– no sides. I didn’t want to wait any longer for her to bring the actual meal so I just ate that and it was alright. I’m only giving a star because the margaritas were great as well as the chicken fajita nachos.

The food is exceptionally mediocre. On the positive side: The margaritas are decent. The queso is acceptable once you mix in some salsa and jalapeños. And my friend’s michelada was passable. HOWEVER, my tortilla soup came with a huge, fist-sized block of cabbage(as filler I guess?) and it was obvious that the lettuce and tomatoes went on my friend’s pechuga jalepeno plate BEFORE it went in the oven. These wouldn’t ruin the meal had the food been good, but it just wasn’t. At all. Might come back for margs and queso during happy hour. Otherwise, no.

Me and my wife like this place. The waiters aren’t always friendly, but sometimes are. Mainly we go for the food and atmosphere. I feel like I’m in Mexico when I am there and they have good enchiladas. The prices are set slightly below their competition. It’s no place to take a date guys, but it’s a good place for friends. I recommend eating here.

Food was very good. Ambiance very poor. There is a manager/owner with a Hitler mustache who screams at his employees. In fact, this went on for about 30 mins. I asked the employees if they were ok and they shared that he does that sort of thing all of the time. I can’t believe he did his in front of customers — it was awful. Someone needs to report him to the EEOC!

For the most part, two things usually influence my opinion of a restaurant: the food and service. One could argue that ambiance should matter, but I like hole in the wall locations, so I rarely ding for the look of the place. As far as food and service, this place has gone downhill. Today, they were pretty understaffed, and it was obvious. Things that were slow: –Ordering –Drinks –Refills –Food wait time So, now the food. We had guacamole, enchiladas, and quesadillas. The only thing we liked was the guacamole. The beans seemed like they came out of a can. The rest of the food was meh. For the price, I definitely do not feel like it was worth it. I will give the place a second star for the guacamole — but other than that — nothing to write home about. Likely will not go back unless I see other Unilocalers rave about how the place got its act together…

The staff was friendly and we were greeted at the entrance! The salsa was watery and bland. The chips were good! The pinto bean soup was bland! My tacos were OK, the beef was a bit too salty! My wife’s salad was bland, her Tilapia was tasty and seasoned well! I like to support local businesses and I hope they learn to make things better from reviews! I could imagine the guy from restaurant impossible yelling at the chef and making them eat the bland, watery salsa that had practically no flavor at all!

I stopped into this little restaurant by chance, because I was attending a nearby car show Saturday night and was incredibly hungry. The place wasn’t empty but I got seated right away, and the waiter was quick enough. I ordered a margarita and Enchiladas de Camarones(shrimp). They brought the food out in 10 – 15 minutes and it was hot and tasted fine. Maybe not the best I’ve had but still pretty good for a stop-in Mexican restaurant. The restaurant seemed clean enough, it wasn’t a dive or anything. Nice patio seating too.

Came here for a quick breakfast and they had the BEST barbacoa tacos that I have had in decades. The meat was juicy, fatty but not greasy, tender, perfectly seasoned, and the beans and potatoes were the perfect accompaniments. You must ask for the green sauce, it is brought in a squeeze bottle and goes phenomenally well with the meat. The breakfast was one of the best I’ve had, I’m so happy to share it!

I always get seated in the coldest spot, so immediately need my Charro beans. I love how at lunch they give you salsa and cheese. Their tea always tastes fresh. Customer service isn’t always on par but sometimes we get one with a sense of humor. The food is a hit or miss, sometimes it is really good and other times it’s full of fat. The best thing I have had were the taco salad. I do love their charro beans. The pricing is pretty good if you stay on the lunch menu, you do get a lot of food. Overall it is ok.

Terrible, rubbery chicken fajitas with cold rice and beans were served to my table early in the afternoon. The six other tables I could see didn’t look as disappointed as I was, but maybe they had been to this location before. Margaritas were below average; especially when your server takes so long to bring one back for you. I got the impression that this poor gentleman was doing all parts of the job: cooking, cleaning, bar-tending, serving, and greeting — even if all that was on his plate//what was put on mine should have been of better quality.
