Ladair’s Luxury Detailing

Okay, I feel kinda bad leaving this review, because these guys are the nicest people ever. I was really looking forward to having a clean car and I wanted to like the experience. However, I did pay what, to me, is a lot of money, and I was left feeling shortchanged. I bought the Unilocal deal, $ 100 for a full $ 250 detail. For some reason, the advertisement of a $ 250 detail job implied to me that there would be q-​tips involved, and my car would be left as clean as is possible for a 6 year old car. What I got was a basically a fancy carwash, which I could’ve done at any hand wash place in town, and even if I picked their highest service it would still have only been $ 70 tops. Plus, what would’ve happened if I’d booked directly with Ladair’s and paid the full $ 250? Would I have gotten a better job? If so, what’s the point of a Unilocal deal?
There are lots of icky bits left in my car (see photos). The guy did spend an inordinate amount of time vacuuming dog hair out of my carpets, but I wish I’d known that I had to choose between clean carpets or a clean console, especially for a $ 250 service.
Additionally, I have to add that scheduling is a nightmare. It took me weeks to schedule my first appointment, and then I sat at home on the day and time and no one showed up or called. An hour after my scheduled appointment I called them, and they said, oh it might rain later, so we canceled all the appointments. But you didn’t think to tell anybody that? Plus, it DIDN’T rain later. Then after another 3 weeks trying to get another appointment, THE SAME THING HAPPENED AGAIN. That’s twice I was stood up. Finally, I was able to get an appointment that someone actually showed up for, but i’m kinda bummed with the result.
Like I said, these guys are the nicest guys on the planet, but I really wish I hadn’t just blown a cool hundy and a ton of stress and frustration on something I could’ve gotten for way less at the carwash down the street any day of the week.

Didn’t see many reviews, so wasn’t sure what to expect when I had them detail my car (exterior and interior). However, they did a GREAT job. They came to my apartment complex, and had everything they needed. I actually felt bad because my car was looking rough and I knew they had their work cut out for them, but they definitely spent the time (~2.5 hrs) and had it looking amazing. All in all, great job and I would recommend them again.
