We had the scrumptious, crispy chicken fried chicken with creamy gravy. The mashed potatoes were buttery and with sweet corn on the side. Must try!

We went to Old Town Spring to get family pictures. Puffabelly’s was right where we did the pictures so we ate there. The atmosphere was nice at 6pm on a Thursday. Small crowd with an open mic night. We had an 8, 6, and 1 year old with us. The kids loved the train theme. The Burgers were exceptionally good. I got the bacon cheese burger on a Jalapeño bun. The bun was not very spicy but had a lot of flavor. I would definitely get it again. The fried Okra was subpar. The fries were really good. It is definitely worth a try, especially if you get burgers.

Food I had was light in flavor… Eatable but could be better flavored… Maybe the burgers are better… Beer mugs are perfectly frozen… Wouldn’t highly recommend. Sorry…

I’m not sure what people find so amazing about this place. Was it good? Yes. Was it 5-star good? Not exactly. This is just your typical fried food and burger establishment. Our waitress’ suggestion was the chicken fried chicken with gravy. Anyone who knows me or my dining companion would know we wouldn’t order that, but it definitely confirmed my opinion of their menu. There are a few grilled items on the menu, but not enough. I ordered the grilled catfish and shrimp. I’m not a person who likes my shrimp grilled actually, but the only way to get grilled catfish was to get shrimp with it. Sorry, but for me that is –1 star. The fish was good, but a bit rubbery on the ends. The side salad was okay — mostly romaine and mostly the white ends that everyone hates. I know it has to go somewhere, but I just wish that«somewhere» was not my salad! There was one lonely little cherry tomato in there — just one. It gives the impression that it is all thrown together in a bowl and not made per order. We also ordered the fried green tomatoes and pickles as an appetizer. The pickles were good, but the tomatoes had little to no flavor. It was like fried wax and there was little green to be seen. So once again, this is just your typical locally owned country style restaurant. So what might someone like about this place that just didn’t make it for me? The onion rings are HUGE! There is a small bucket of peanuts on the table. It has a very country and«old town» feel to it with the wood floors and seating that was obviously purchased from flea markets or antique stores. It definitely has a vibe that many will love since it matches that of Old Town Spring. This place is probably better for people visiting with a larger group and people with kids.

Came here over the weekend to re-fuel after a shopping trip. The restaurant wasn’t too busy, but it took forever to get seated as the hostess was nowhere to be found. When we did find her she just kinda dumped us at the nearest table. Our waitress was super nice and friendly, but it took her a while to get things we asked for. Like I said it wasn’t very busy, so not sure what the deal was. My sister and I split a fried shrimp basket– it was ok except for the batter fell off the shrimp anytime you came near it with a fork. Maybe next time I will try a burger instead.

Decided to try something different one weekend. We were in the area and decided to give Puffabelly’s a try. Inside is a nice rustic atmosphere, and instead of trying to cram the maximum amount of tables in there they have things nicely spread out so you don’t feel crammed. They have peanuts at the tables you can munch on and throw the shells on the floor. Just a warning for people with peanut allergies. Ordered the puff-a-peppers… VERY Yummy! Next time we will probably order the sampler to try all the goodies. Had a bacon cheeseburger which was also excellent. Our waiter was constantly checking up on us making sure everything was okay. The whole staff was great actually, everyone that walked by would smile and ask if we needed anything. This place is kind of out of the way from where we live, but will definitely go back there when we have the time. They are closed Monday, but the rest of the week they have daily lunch specials. Most of the food is fried stuff, but there are healthy choices too.

We decided to eat here on a whim on a Saturday night. When we entered we were welcomed by smiling staff and the sound of live bluegrass from the main dining area. We have been here a few times over the years with our kids and without, and the atmosphere is always relaxed and good for table conversations over good food. We ordered the fried green tomatoes and pickles, a chicken fried steak burger and the steamhouse chicken sandwich. Our appitizer took quite a while to come out, but the server, Rachel, was aware of it and apologized. We didn’t complain because we were simply enjoying the live music. When our check came we saw that we werent charged for the appetizer, and we were really surprised. Overall a great dining experience… highly recommended.

We went on a Wednesday for dinner and got to enjoy a night of music also. Wednesday nights they have someone come and play. It was such a nice time and friendly atmosphere, not to mention the food was great! Our daughter enjoyed doing the train over and over while we enjoyed the music. Our dinners were great! We plan to be back very soon.

Loved this place they had the best burgers. The waitress was perfect. She came to check on us but not to much where it got annoying but just enough to make sure we were taken care of. I got the bacon cheese burger with jalapeños and fries. I couldn’t finish it all but I wanted to! Highly recommend this place. Unlike most old town spring restaurants they have a pretty large parking lot so that is a big plus.

As we were waiting for a store to open, we stopped here because it looked cute and had a real home cooked feel to it. Staff was great and it wasn’t too busy, but that may have been due to it brings Sunday. We had the catfish and chicken fried steak, both were delicious and prices were not outrageous. Give it a try if you’re having a long day shopping in old town spring. Also, the fried okra is an excellent starter!

I took my parents to Old Town Spring for a bit of a «Texas» experience, so it seemed fitting that we should go to Puffabelly’s for lunch. We were seated immediately, and really liked the nostalgic décor inside. And really, who doesn’t love peanuts when you can throw the shells on the floor(besides those with allergies…). The food was basic and good-burgers cooked well, yummy fries, good chili. We were all happy with what we got. There wasn’t much taste to the fried okra though. The service was friendly and attentive, although they did get a couple minor things wrong. I would go back for a good, solid lunch any time!

This place is a lot of fun and a must stop when going through Old Town Spring. I love the bucket of roasted peanuts that are on each table so you can snack while contemplating the menu. They offer a good variety of burgers and southern classics. They also have some of the BEST fried pickles I have ever eaten. I think the best thing about Puffabelly’s is the wide variety of activities they sponsor. There’s singer/song writer showcases, open mic nights, melodramas, and many festivals throughout the year. They have great outdoor seating and stage. It is the best place to hang out, drink a cold beer, and listen to great music.

Nice place in Old Spring. Food was good and we really enjoyed the catfish and shrimp. Kids menu could use a few more options but the chicken strips were good. Problem we have is that the floor and table was sticky and a bit dirty. Please clean up so we can come back.

I enjoyed the ambiance here at Puffabellys. Very Western atmosphere! I ordered the Mushroom Swiss Burger and for the side, I had fried okra. The burger here was okay… could use a little work, but it wasn’t terrible. You know when you order a burger, it’s always sizzling hot? Mine was kind of warm. It didn’t have that«oh my goodness, this burger melts in my mouth» type of flavor, lol(don’t know if that makes sense to y’all). Maybe that isn’t their specialty? Oh well, I’d give the burger a C rating. I didn’t like the fried okra here. Didn’t really taste fresh to me. I’d rather get fried okra at Churches Chicken! I hear the Chicken Fried Chicken here is really good, so I’ll probably get that next time. The service was great. Our waitress was really nice and helpful. That’s always a great thing! Anyways, from my experience today, I’d rate the food here a C. Will be back to try something different!
