This is a great fabric store that I’ve visited numerous times. I designed my own wedding gown and had it custom made. The fabric came from this store! I also really love the way they bring in home décor to purchase. It’s fun. It would be impossible to guess how many times I have found a replacement button at Hancocks. They really have a good selection.

If you want to make ANYTHING from fabric, the stuff is here to do it. As fabric stores go, this one is the best in Springfield. It has been here FOREVER, but thankfully the stuff is all new.(You KNOW what I mean, sometimes stores that have been there forever, still have the original stuff…) Along with a great selection of everything from silky sheer to wooly warm, they have canvas to stretch and paint on, they have crafts supplies, a good, but probably not great, selection of yarn(oh how I wish I was a knitter!), lots of decorator fabrics, both off the bolt and clearance pieces for small projects. The remnants are priced to sell, you could reupholster your garage sale find chair or much loved hassock and still be able to eat. Lots of that fleecy throw-making stuff and even patterns, buttons, and zippers. Watch the sale flyers for good deals on patterns. If you need scissors sharpened they even have a fellow who comes in occasionally to do that. The ladies who work there are incredibly helpful and nice, like some crafty aunts. Oh yeah, and even though it is pretty big, it is very neat as fabric stores go. And they have decorative«stuff», those tables and stuff to sit around on the tables. AND bridal fabrics, hat forms, that kind of stuff, if you are crafty you could have everything for bride, maids and flower girl here. Everything and conversation, too. Can’t beat it!
