Thank you, Unilocal search, for finding a place in Springfield that serves Ramen. I’ve been on a hunt for good, legit, tasty Ramen in this town for a long time… And I can’t say that Koriya is it, but it’s worth a visit. Koriya is tucked away in a little strip center on South Fremont, and may have one of the weirdest restaurant layouts I’ve ever seen, but I did enjoy it. I walked in and told the nice young man at the register that this was my first time ever visiting. I expected for him to guide me through the ordering process a little bit, since this place reminds me of a Chipotle of Asian food. There’s a long bar with toppings in bins, almost like I’m supposed to walk down the line and pick out what I want. Instead of guiding me through the ordering process, he says«I’ve never heard that before.» And then just stands there and looks at me. We ordered the only two Ramen choices on the menu, number one and number 2. The spicy shrimp ramen bowl is definitely the way to go. The traditional Ramen had a very bland broth, noodles, 4 pieces of pork, some bamboo, and half an egg. Entirely too heavy on the bean sprouts— I’m talking like 5 bean sprouts per spoonful, and the egg was a miserable failure. When I think authentic good ramen, I think a soft-boiled egg laying there beautifully in my bowl… I got half a hard boiled egg flopped into a bowl of beef broth. However, the spicy shrimp ramen bowl was pretty good. It came with two pieces of tempura shrimp, which would be better if they were served on the side instead of getting soggy in my broth, but I digress. The broth itself had a healthy amount of chili oil so there was some heat, but it wasn’t overwhelming. There was calamari, mussels, baby octopus, and shrimp also. Verging on overdone, but it’s an $ 8 bowl of ramen so I guess I probably shouldn’t complain. One major distraction about eating here was the server’s overuse of the word ‘friend.’ I probably heard it six times, and after he got done bringing food to the large table next to ours, I think my ears were bleeding. Not everyone is his friend, I understand he’s trying to be polite, but come on. Expand your vocabulary a little bit. Anyway. Worth a visit, especially since I want to try their hot stone bowls. It’s priced well, clean, and fast… and everyone is a ‘friend.’ :)

This is seriously the best little place. I love the casual atmosphere, and the food is amazing! I ordered the salad rice with teriyaki chicken and the spicy sauce, and it came with miso soup! I love Korean food, and this place is my go to for something quick and delicious!

I’m extremely impressed with Koriya. Stopped by here for lunch, I went with the beef bibimbap and I asked the cashier to customize it the way she would eat it. It was awesome and I highly recommend it. Cheers.

We ordered the Chicken Teriyaki and it was decent. My rice was hard(not fully cooked) and my fiancés chicken was tough. The food wasn’t bad, but nothing special. Very similar to Panda Express.

I visited with a friend who is normally a bit of a picky eater so I was worried the small menu selection would be a problem, but it worked out in the end because it didn’t overwhelm her and she was able to choose something quickly that she was satisfied with. My friend got the bibimbap with chicken and spicy sauce and loved it! I tried a bit of hers and wished I had ordered the same thing. Instead I had ordered one of the two ramen choices(I believe it was called shoyu?) but was very underwhelmed. For me, ramen is about the broth and this broth definitely wasn’t like any other broths I’ve tried in ramen. It was more or less just flavored water to me :-(I’m also used to getting ramen with half an egg that is just barely cooked all the way through, but this egg seemed like it was just thrown into boiling water and forgotten about. I’m giving it three stars because despite the bad ramen, my friends bibimbap dish was good and the prices were very good. Ramen and a beer for $ 11.

One of my favorites for Asian cuisine! I try to come here every so often for their Yaki Soba which is AMAZING. The prices are affordable and the atmosphere is great for dining in, perfect for date nights!

My wife, and I have eaten here on several occasions whether it be for lunch or dinner. The food is well portioned, and whether true or not I have the perception it’s healthier than most eat out choices.

Great and healthy Asian(Korean/Japanese)Fast food!!! Different option for bin bin bop. The reason I said its an Asian fast food is because I think they already prepared and cooked everything. When you order they just put the different ingredients together. Korean side dishes are also tasty.

This is my go to joint when I want something different, and chalked full of veggies. It’s also one of the few places in town that serve dishes that can be vegan. Their hot stone bowl with black rice, tofu and sesame sauce is my go to. The ambiance is nice, the décor is very updated, and it’s in a decent location. On top of that the prices are VERY reasonable. It’s also very clean. Keep it up, and I’ll keep coming back!

This place is seriously amazing. What a gem in whitewashed Springfield! Korean food in general is pretty healthy, but Koriya prides itself on the healthy factor, so it’s a great alternative to the domineering presence of Springfield’s fried Chinese food. It’s a pretty hipster place; trendy but casual. I’ve been here 5 times in 3 weeks… I’ve never regretted a single visit! Eat here, fall in love, and tell your friends. You won’t regret it!

Fantastic. Had the Hot Stone(bowl!) Bibimbap with black rice and kori sauce, incredible. I’ve used Unilocal occasionally for years, but this is the first time I decided to actualy write a review.

Great service, great food, great atmosphere. I could eat the rice they serve for every meal. They have several options to choose from, though not so many that it’s overwhelming. The only complaint I would have is that the chicken is a little dry on some days.

Solidly good road food, fast and friendly service, not too far from the highway, and better than anything you’ll find on the highway.

I love different kinds of food and I feel I am very open minded but this food literally made me sick. I love Indian food, Thai food, african food, you name it. This food is VERY different and I felt it was either rotten or just very weird and not usually. The mushrooms were gross and I LOVE mushrooms. All kinds. Anyways if you aren’t into VERY different and healthy foods, I would stay away.

This place takes my all-time favorite Korean dish, hot stone bibimbap and turns it WAAAAY up and out in tremendous fashion. Fresh ingredients, nutritious selections and just enough of the traditional Korean flavor to make this a regular stop for the whole family.

This place is really good. The various combinations make their menu quite extensive. All of the bowls are great and the kimchi is some of the best in Springfield. The only problem is seating… When it’s busy, you might have to wait. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I think this is my new favorite place to eat, especially when I’m in a hurry.

Great spot! The food is fantastic and the service is friendly. You order at the front counter and then they build and bring you your entrée. I’m in town for work and came back the following day because I enjoyed it that much. I highly recommend the salad with brown rice with either chicken or spicy shrimp — both are great. The pan fried gryoza(pot stocker) are delicious. This place is a must! Cool décor too.

Fresh, delicious food. Service is very prompt. The kochi dressing is a little spicy for my taste, but the flavor is great. The spicy shrimp bibimbap will really open your sinuses!

Wow, truly a wonderful place. I added four photos and only wish I could add the savory smell you get when you walk in the door. A new favorite of all of us in our group. I will be back, awesome sticky rice. We cleaned our plates!
