Dawdy Haus Coffee

Daddy Haus Coffee shop & café is a great new addition to Whispering Pines!
The little eatery has a homey, country feel and delicious eats. They have a nice variety of sandwiches, a few salads, a soup of the day, and Route 11 chips for your meal options. I had the White Barn Panini (chicken, Alfredo, spinach, and mushrooms) and the Amish Garden Salad today, both which were delicious and flavorful-​especially the panini! On the salad was blue cheese crumbles, big and crunchy croutons, chopped tomato, and… a pickled egg! My brother had the Red Barn Panini and loved his as well. The food is very fresh and tasty, and satisfies your hunger without leaving you overly full so that you have room for the best part: their hand-​dipped icecream: oh my goodness is this stuff good! Their flavors change daily and with the season, but I highly recommend the Mud Pie or the Chocolate Peanut Butter if available!
Along with the great atmosphere and food, the staff are just lovely people-​they even packed my ice cream in ice so that I could take it to go.

We decided to take my wife’s aunt out to lunch today, so we tried the Dawdy Haus. Their menu selection is not huge, but it does have soup and Panini sandwiches. We had three Panini sandwiches, a Rueben with sauerkraut, 2 cheeses and dressing, ham and cheese. and a red barn with mozzarella, pepperoni, and marinara. All three Panini sandwiches were very good. Two of us had homemade ice cream for dessert. They have 12 flavors of ice cream. Atmosphere is nice.
