Ive been sweatin’ about getting a used truck so I could repair the deck at my house. Bought one last October… it sat until this week. Had some work done on it and FINALLY I was ready to get my measly 1500 dollar investment working. Ok I’ll measure the boards. 14 footers… omg I have a regular bed 1988 truck with no tie downs. Do I go over the cab? Do I go tailgate down? Do I go in the bed tailgate up? What about one of those red flags? Am I going to impale someone with flying 2×6’s? Walked in the Hometown Building Center asked if they delivered and the man said«Yes sir and free of charge! «I thought huh? Certainly they aren’t going to deliver 4 pieces of wood 13 miles away for free? «No problem sir… you’ll get em tonight or tomorrow morning… is that Ok?» In and out in under 4 minutes. Home Depot who? Lowes what? This is one of the best examples of small town living I’ve had around here in a long time. Life in the middle of nowhere is hard on a city boy… a business like this make it just a bit easier *sigh*
