My favorite sweet stop to make while in downtown St. Augustine. The ice cream is amazing, the one that has toasted coconut is delicious! The cones are huge and there’s no way I can finish one by myself. The chocolates are very good quality too :)

Their candy apples are totes awesome! I’m not sure how they make their caramel, but it’s perfect. It doesn’t stick to your teeth or takeover your tastebuds. I like that they use tart apples to complement the sweetness of the caramel and chocolate. It’s a beautiful marriages of yumminess. We bought the kids little ice cream cups too. The workers were very patient with the little ones and especially with me trying to decide which candy apple I wanted. I bought the caramel with white and dark chocolate and the white chocolate with cinnamon. They have typical prices and make it worth it.

There are two on St George Street. The one closest tithe park always has a line. But, there is a lot to look at while waiting in line. I had one scoop of Mexican Chocolate with cinnamon on a waffle cone that you can watch being made while standing online. I don’t usually eat ice cream but it was tasty and the cone fresh. They have a variety offal its and if you ask and you can get samples to help you decide. I purchased a box of chocolates but did not buy any for myself. So, this review is solely on one scoop of ice cream. The ice cream was creamy and I enjoyed the flavor. I think the standout was the fresh waffle cone. Would I go back? For someone who doesn’t usually eat ice cream this was a «done it-been there for me. Obviously with the long lines for others it is a magnet.

The chocolate and fudge are out of this world. Prices are reasonable. Will definitely be visiting this shop again.

Ice cream was so good that we went back for more the next day! AND we didn’t remember exactly where it was located so we spent a good 45 minutes walking around specifically looking for it! We passed other ice cream shops but didn’t stop because we knew it would be worth it! We will definitely go again when in St. Augustine.

Awesome desert place — had the Oreo shake and tried a free sample of chocolate they were giving out. Great place and friendly staff

The place has a very large selection of chocolate treats and ice cream. We went with the ice cream which was great.

So much confection goodness in one location, it truly is difficult to decide. If you like fudge, candy apples, ice cream, or any of the other sinful goodies they make, you will be in dessert heaven. We got ice cream, and coffees. The ice cream and waffle cones(made in-house), are truly decadent and worth the wait.(They are always busy, but there’s good reason for that…) Their coffee was robust, and the perfect compliment to any of their offerings. I dare you to walk down St. George Street, and NOT succumb to the scents emanating from their door. I double dare you.

Kilwins on St. George St just makes the street smell so much better! You walk in and you’re greeted by the wonderful aroma of milk chocolate. They have a wide selection of ice creams(which you can also turn any flavor into a milk shake or sundae), truffles, chocolates, caramel apples, nuts, and refreshing drinks. St George street stays busy, but the staff at Kilwins work very hard to get people in and out!

If you don’t already know about Kilwin’s and you’re walking along St. George Street, the wonderful aroma of the waffle cones is sure to lure you in. Ahhh… that sweet, wonderful smell! I love their ice cream and their fudge. It’s always nice to have a cone to enjoy right then and there, and then grab some fudge to bring home. The particular Kilwin’s is always packed. ALWAYS. It’s in a touristy area, so that’s to be expected. Sometimes it’s difficult to even move around in here. I would have given 4 stars, but I took one away before the customer service here isn’t the best. I guess the employees are tired from handing out probably thousands of samples a day, but it should be that hard to put a smile on. The Cast Members at Disney manage to do it(my husband use to work at Disney, so I know), so I don’t see how it’s that difficult of a thing to do… ya know… just smile and be nice. For those in a wheelchair, they have a side entrance that is wheelchair friendly.

Holy shit, this fudge is good. If I worked here, I’d weigh 400lbs. They also make a pretty great cup of hot chocolate. Definitely recommend stopping here for a slice of fudge(about $ 8) and a cup of coffee/hot chocolate on a cold day

This place is always packed! I love coming here and sampling the different flavors of ice cream, they have plenty to choose from and they are all uniquely flavored and unlike anything I would ever be able to get from the frozen section in the grocery store! Their waffle cones are great but I do wish they made them fresh to order, I think that this would be the only dessert place I would go if that was the case. I have never gotten anything from here besides the ice cream but my husband has purchased the chocolate covered pretzels and apples and they were not as fresh as I feel they should have been. Ice Cream, I give 6 stars. Waffle Cones-3 stars All other desserts-2 stars.

Um, so I don’t even like sweets, much since I’m more of a savory girl, and yet my husband and I went here… three times. Ha! Great little spot. Always packed, so be prepared for that«fun». The first time, we just wanted to check it out, and ordered half a slice of cookies and cream fudge for later. As well as a chocolate and sea salt covered apple. Yum! The next two times, we opted for ice cream; one night pumpkin pie, and the other peppermint. Both were delicious!

It is a given if I go into St. Augustine and I’m down St. George Street that I always stop into Kilwin’s to purchase chocolate fudge or another one of their sweet offerings. It’s a hard thing to resist and never something I regret. Love this place! :)

For those of us from California, Kilwin’s is like See’s Candies — but worse! I had the hazelnut truffle. The hazelnut flavor is far, far, far too subtle. These candies were not cheap either! Very disappointing! We shared a caramel apple with pecans which was good but the caramel flavor was too subtle — far, far, far too subtle. Perhaps the hazelnut and caramel flavor in these items was subtle because they skimp on the ingredients.

The rest of the stuff in Kilwins is just mediocre at best, but the reason I am giving them four stars is for their Coconut ice-cream! It is out of this world delicious. I have yet to find another that takes it place which keeps me coming back for more! Delicious! Go for this, should be award winning, coconut ice-cream and you will understand this four star rating. Everything else is just mediocre.

Came here for ice cream. It was fantastic, all creamy, rich and full of flavor. I had two scoops, salted caramel and toasted coconut. I can’t decide which I liked better. Both were outstanding. The salted caramel was really creamy but the toasted coconut gave you something to chew on. Two different but great mouth sensations. Grandma had the peanut butter chocolate which she just raved about. And son had the cappuccino chip, always a family favorite.

The aroma of fresh waffle cones being made had me a mile away. My hubby has a major sweet tooth so I thought I should bring some local goodies back to California and this would be the perfect spot to select something. Everything behind the glass counters looked amazing but the fudge really got me big time. I ended up getting a slice of chocolate and nuts and a prepared box of 8 different truffles with sea salts sprinkled on top. I thought my hubby would really enjoy them. The truffles came nicely wrapped in a box so it was perfect for gift giving. For the fudge, they wrapped it nicely in a branded rectangle box and it ended up working out well for the travel home. My sis and I took a bite of the fudge and thought it was just ok. The chocolate had a nice rich flavor to it and anytime you put nuts with chocolate, you know you’ve got yourself a winner. Or so you think. The issue that I had with the fudge was in certain bites, it was a little grainy and did not have a great texture. Fudge is supposed to be smooth and melt in your mouth but this didn’t have those characters. It was a $ 14 slice of fudge so this was a bit disappointing. I was still holding out hope that the hubby would like it though. When I returned home, I gave him his box of truffles and he thought they were just ok. I figured he really didn’t care for them because it’s been a week since I returned and there are 3 remaining in the box. This is unheard of with him. As far as the fudge, it was a lost cause… the hubby did not like it at all.

Terrible service, WOW! You expect a pretty good experience with Kilwin’s but this location just had something missing. They had no less than seven employees«working» and no one really seemed to be paying attention to the customer flow. Walked up to order ice cream and the man working the samples and orders wasn’t the most lovely, but that’s okay, I get it… he passes out thousands of samples everyday so «YUP» is just a natural response when you request somethings… right? So then when you order is filled you walk up to the register, well it was marked«closed» and no one was there. So, we moved to the next register and it also was marked«closed» and there was an employee standing out behind the counter, a younger female, and she said«the other register is open, I think» and pointed us back to the first register. We stood there… waiting… then someone started ringing on the other register so we went back over there, then everyone behind us that ordered ice cream were being rung up at the first register… are you kidding me? I was furious and even though the second register was just for chocolate and fudge purchases, they rung us up… how nice of them? So my suggestion is — correct your communication with your staff.

customer service here is a joke! my boyfriend and i was walking around one night exploring st. Augustine. as we were being tourist we saw people eating ice cream which made me want some. i’m a huge ice cream addict, any time of the day. if its strawberry cheesecake then my mouth is salivating! so as i was determined to find this place which we did. kilwin were busy but nothing too crazy. so my boyfriend and i were standing there for awhile staring at the ice cream flavors waiting to be asked if we needed help. i looked at three staff members stand around. just looking at us. then two girls [customers] came shortly after us and got served before us. so my boyfriend asked one of the staff to help and this female staff started to engage in a conversation regarding my boyfriend’s camera instead of helping us on our order. i was quite disappointed on the service. the ice cream was overpriced as well. they didn’t have strawberry cheesecake by the way. so i ordered something else that i can’t seem to recall at the moment. we overheard other people in there complaining about the service as well. they sell chocolate and candy apple and other goodies for those who have a sweet tooth.
