What a fantastic place! Family friends of ours took us here for dinner and to watch the sunset. The food was outstanding, an extensive menu to select from, the service was friendly and thoughtful, we even were greeted by name by the owner! The drinks were delicious and when the food came we were very impressed. Even the bar was lively and fun! Best part: amazing view of the sunset! I highly recommend stopping into this gem for a drink and a snack!

Maybe, and only maybe. If I lived right next door, I’d give this place another try. We ordered one appetizer and some drinks. Had plans to order more, but after the two hours we waited for some artichokes in garlic sauce and some liquid in a glass, we could have driven out of town to order something and had a fabulous meal elsewhere. I’ll chalk it up to a bad day. Horrible.

Fun, great music, lovely sunset. Hubby enjoyed coconut shrimp, I feasted on muscles in garlic! Key lime pie ended a delicious evening.

Unfortunately I can’t give this place a great review. Ate here for the first time. I ordered the shrimp PO-boy. It came with the sandwich, coleslaw and fries or beans and rice. I got fries. The shrimp was over cooked and the bun was over toasted. The fries were over cooked as well and you could tell they had been sitting under a heat lamp for awhile. My husband liked the coleslaw but it didn’t taste good to me. My husband and kids got the burger. They were all over cooked and lacked flavor. Their fries were over cooked as well. They were also out of lime which is odd considering they have a full bar. We sat outside so the view was great though! Probably won’t be back.

Great location! Food doesn’t match up… felt like I was on the receiving end of money savings… if you can’t replace an umbrella on what should be a beautiful terrace., there is no way your paying for fresh seafood– unfortunately, not a good experience — I really hope it turns around

Stopped for lunch on our way to the nearby fort. Food was hit and miss. Artichoke scampi and soup of the day were excellent as was the pulled pork sandwich. Fish tacos and chicken tacos were small portions with tough chewy chicken. Service was prompt. Prices were on the high side for what we ate, I guess because you are paying a premium for the view. Décor, and the restaurant is cluttered with several seating areas used for storage. We’d look elsewhere if in the area again.

Great casual place with a patio and nice inter coastal view. Fair and affordable pricing and good service as well. Had the calamari and a beer and both were excellent.

THEBESTFRIEDCALAMARI that I have ever eaten. And trust me, I have eaten a lot. Outside location near the inlet, great waitresses, other great seafood and cocktails, with cheap prices, round out the perfect picture — 5 star beachside fish house!

Stopped into the Matanzas Inlet Restaurant after a lovely afternoon at nearby Washington Oak Park. The place is located right on the inlet with a magnificant view of the inlet and the bridge. It’s casual and informal with a comfortable bar, dining tables overlooking the inlet and outdoor seating that also accoommdates dogs from the looks of the water bowls on the deck. Hubs and I enjoyed the drink special($ 5 mimosa) and house pinot($ 5) and a small order of the garlic mussels($ 9.95) which were delicious. Our lovely waitress, Eva, was awesome. Give her a raise!! Service was attentive! Would def go back… Enjoy!

Racist as heck! I’ve been traveling all over and by far I’ve never been treated this way before. Took about an hour to get our order of crabs. Waitress didn’t ask if we wanted any sides. Totally got ignored. There’s so many other places but if you’re not the right color… don’t expect a good treatment.

Very nice location with outdoor seating directly situated on the Matanzas river. We ate inside and the service was very good but the food was just average. I had the Mahi Mahi Sandwich which tasted fine but not amazing. There is plenty of room for large groups inside and out and the Bar inside was packed with locals. It’s an older place decorated in Beach flare. If I lived in the area this would be the place I would hang out to have cocktails and a bite to eat. A big plus for me was the SweetWater 420 Extra Pale Ale they have on draft. It’s a cool location and I would definitely try again if in the area. I drove by this restaurant many times during my 4 day stay and the outside dining area was always packed with people. Check it out, read the other reviews and see for yourself.

My family of 13 came into this establishment for lunch on a Monday afternoon. The GOOD: Our server was Ms. Sandra. She was very attentive to us and even accommodated us when we asked for three separate checks. We had 7 kids with us, ranging from ages 1 to 17. Sandra had the kids a a separate table adjacent to us. Overall, she provided us with great service. And now… For The BAD: Initially we sat outside. When we arrived, we asked this waitresses(Joni) if we could have 3 tables. To which she rudely replied, «no, take two tables because I have more people coming». After being there for about an hour we requested to be seated inside. Later, we asked the same waitress(Joni; which we later found out is one of the owners) if she could get our waiter. She replied«I don’t know! I can’t deal with you all anymore» I spoke to our waiter(Sandra) about Ms. Joni’s rude comments to which she apologized profusely and told us we weren’t a bother to her. Next, while we waited for our checks my brother and I decided to address Ms. Joni. When we asked her for a moment she told us she didn’t have time to talk to us. When my brother told her we would be posting a review she replied«I don’t care Sir. Do whatever you want». Between the three families we spent over $ 300 in this establishment(for lunch!). Only to be treated rudely by THEOWNER, Joni Galasso. I would hate to think that Joni treated us this way because we are of hispanic ethnicity, but the thought definitely crossed my mind. OTHER observations: the salt and pepper shakers had rust on them. The cutlery was old and some were dirty. The restrooms where dirty. The food was mediocre, not bad, but not great. We had a little bit of everything… yueling beer battered fish, coconut shrimp, fried calamari, honey mustard wings, garlic mussels, and blackened tilapia sandwich… That’s all I can remember right now. Would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.

Found this gem driving the A1A. Being celiac, I was pleasantly surprised to find that the owner was as well. She introduced me to a great gluten free beer Estrella Daura Damn. The GF menu is extensive and very tasty — one of the best pizzas I’ve ever had. The rest of my family lived the other items. Love this place and it’s great atmosphere.

This place has such a wonderful atmosphere(outdoors on the water at in inlet to the ocean). You can’t beat it at Sunset. The staff is great always very helpful, friendly and hard-working(especially Jenna). The food well… I’ve never had anything I loved there. It’s food. Since restaurants specialize in food I would strongly recommend that this restaurant reengineer their menu & get a cook or a chef that can specialize in some dishes that are unique. When you go to a good restaurant it’s common to tell people we are known for our«such and such». However it just so happens to be an alcoholic drink they are known for– the long islands are excellent!

The view was really nice. The bartender made me a mango daiquiri that was perfect! I want too hungry so I only ordered the conch fritters. They weren’t bad, but I’ve definitely had better. My hubby ordered the shrimp poboy sandwich, which he loved. We stopped here while traveling through, I liked the atmosphere, the drinks, and the friendly staff! I’d definitely recommend trying it it! Even though I didn’t care for their fritters doesn’t mean you won’t love them :-)

Hey Unilocal, there’s an extra«n» in «Innlet»! Locals brought us to this spot. We were lucky enough to score a parking space in the tiny lot as well as a prime picnic table with a stellar view of Matanzas Inlet. Even though it’s AC-ed inside, diners are all about the view, and despite the sun ray’s and heat, the patio was well-populated. After much deliberation over the menu options(andouille gator sausage!), eventually I opted for the Caesar wrap with one of the fishes of the day, tuna. The wrap was generously-sized, and I also found it cute that there were croutons inside of it. Everyone else in my party seemed pleased with his/her food selections, especially with the peel-n-eat shrimp and tuna sandwiches. Service is ultra-friendly though certainly not on the speedy side. Three of us ordered unsweetened iced teas and were brought sweet teas with lime but we didn’t say anything because the sweet teas were right delish: not too sugary and freshly-brewed. Delicious seafood and a picturesque setting make Matanzas Innet a winner.

We also stopped to grab an early dinner at Matanzas Inlet. It was okay, maybe 3 star at best. The view and location was great but the food was just meh. I had the blackened mahi sandwich and it was good, but a little plain. The rest of our party’s food was just okay. The hamburgers, the fries, the coconut shrimp, the fried shrimp, the cole slaw… all just meh…

This is about as casual as it gets at sunset. They don’t have Wifi. Only beachfront. They don’t have fancy. Only fried, grilled, steamed or blackened. Kids enjoy the outside. Adults enjoy the bar and live music some days. Good olé friendly southern staff. They may call you«sugar» or «Hun» y’all but that is just southern for«friend.» Food is yummy. Key Lime pie is awesome. Enjoy!

Love, Love and did I say LOVE this place? awesome friendly service and made our family feel at home whenever we came during our week vacation at a rental home just down the road. New had gator tail, fried oysters, the fresh fish of the day, fish n chips. Kids had fries and steamed veggies and nuggets and my favorite was the steamed bag of yummy shrimp that was AWESOME! Can’t wait to come back for another vacay and visit the awesome staff!
