Usually id give this place 4 and a half stars but I came to the patio today with my four legged friend and waited 30 minutes for a server to come by. And the patio was full. Not one server came out to greet any of the tables. I looked around and everyone looked upset about that until one lady went and and had to go get the servers. Once I got a server I looked at the menu price and they had raised the prices of everything on the menu. I use to come here cause it was a nice dive bar with low priced food like fast eddies bon air. But not anymore, I prolly wont be back here often. Maybe once or twice a year now because of this bad experience

My all time favorite dive bar. Great deck out back and you can see the Missouri River from there. The food is really good. Gives Fast Eddies a run for their money on food prices. Try the French dip. Delish!

Great food. The only thing that was not so great is that my waitress charged me 30 $ for a 8 $ meals. She was very respectful and did change it after I told her about it. There were a lot of very drunk people sitting at the bar and they were yelling and being very loud. If you are looking for a quite place to talk to friends and eat this is not the place to go. It’s more of a party place.

Oh and you should see there deck! It is super nice and big and spacy! I hope everyone takes Tim rout of there busy schedules to come support this delesous resturant.

A dive bar indeed! almost a hole in the wall. First time visiting here, and though it kind of took a while to get served, it gets quite busy and crowded on game day. Every time I wanted a refill of something that wasn’t beer, I had to go to the bar to get refills myself. not the best service I’d say. But, this place is pretty small but brings a huge crowd for games on their jumbo TVs. Great prices for their menu, cheap eats but really good bar food! If you’re looking for good food on Main St. but don’t wanna break your wallet, come here. I got the buffalo chicken sandwich its pretty good. the fries are way too over salty so I’d order a different side next time. If you are a loud sports fanatic, you’ll love this place. I’d go back again on a day that isn’t game day as the volume gets extremely loud in here.

This is truly a dive bar… but I mean that in the best way possible. The service isn’t the best — the waitresses tend to ignore you and their beer selection isn’t great — but they have 1 dollar burgers, with each topping very reasonably priced at about a quarter each. Good food for such cheap prices — two people can eat their fill for less than $ 10. The perfect place if you don’t have a lot of cash.

Cheap, «Fast Eddie’s» style food but with a waiter. CHEAP drinks. Get outta there by 9 because the scene turns ugly. Bad DJs, creepy regulars, and too crowded. Go during the day and lower your expectations for a good experience.

I’ve been trying to restrain myself from writing this post too early, because I cannot contain my excitement for Lloyd & Harry’s! I took Mrs. S. here on Sunday for a late lunch with one expectation in mind. Cheap Food. Ok, if you read my tip, I guess I cannot deny I was expecting something to tide me over between my 3 – 5 trips a year to Fast Eddies in Alton, IL. I am happy to report, that mission was accomplished! From the second we walked in we were treated like regulars. Our waitress was finishing up a table in the window booths and told us to sit anywhere we wanted. We sat in the other booth on the street side and took a look at the menus. Within a few seconds, Heather was right there wiping the table down and welcoming us in. I asked about the draft selection, which ended up being a bit short of my hopes, but the basics were there, and I settled on a Bud Light. Mrs. S. went for a water to start. We had heard about the White Nachos so we knew right away those were going to be on the order. What we weren’t expecting was the number of items on the menu. When Heather returned to take our order and drop off our drinks, she asked if we needed more time. We informed her we hadn’t been here before, and she immediately offered some great suggestions on the best items. We ended up with a Burger, Steak Kabob, Teriyaki Chicken Kabob, French Fries, and of course, the White Nachos. While the food was being prepared, Heather came back to check in on us, and struck up some general conversation about the bar and how we had heard about the place. At one point, another patron had been yelling at someone behind the bar, and she even told us about how he was a regular and harmless. The only time I remember a waitress ever trying to have a conversation with me in any sense of the term was at Hooters, and I’m pretty sure the girls there are trained to talk up the customers to build their tips up, so I was pretty impressed when Heather came up to hang out with us and just get to know us a bit. It truly made us feel like we had been coming there for years, which was awesome! When our food came, Heather explained the sauces(I had asked for a cup of each of their BBQ sauces to try out) and thanked us again for coming in, and then excused herself to let us eat. Again, it just felt like home! Already impressed with the service, and the food was delicious, Heather popped in one more time to check in on us. She walked up and asked if I was ready for another beer, I wasn’t even aware I had emptied my glass! I said yeah that would be great, and she responded with«good, I brought you one!» and put a new glass down in front of me. Now THAT is service! To round out the visit, we took advantage of a Unilocal offer for a free«Shot of the Day» which I let my wife have. When we asked about the shot, Heather told us it was whatever we wanted, so we said just bring us something different. She brought up something she claimed to have come up with herself, and it was not just a shot, it was a double shot! Mrs. S. loved it! Great service, great food, awesome drinks, we were blown away! Mrs. S. and I decided to ask for one more shot, one my brother in law had been talking up since trying it a few months back, and asked if she could make it up for us. Once again, the shots came out, double shots again! Three double shots for the price of 2 singles, a deal that cannot be beat! Needless to say, we will be back. Our bill with all this food, several toppings added to the burger(each topping costs between .25 and .50 each, burger itself is $ 1) two shots, two or three beers, and two completely full stomachs came to $ 30.82. We left a hefty tip and a note to Heather-«New Favorite Bar.» Now my only problem is deciding when to go back!

This place is cheeeeap cheap cheap. Wow these prices are good. I was home for Thanksgiving so we took a family stroll around old town St. Charles and ended up at Lloyd and Harry’s. It’s right on the main street but a little away from the action. Perfect spot for a quick meal(or I’m guessing late night drinks). The prices are insane, and due to that we way over ordered. 99 cent burger? Sure, how about two? Turns out these are legitimate full-size burgers, but make sure to note they charge extra per topping! What’s that you say, a 99 cent burger isn’t a good enough deal for you? How about $ 2 for a cup of chili, white chicken nachos for $ 3 or a buffalo chicken finger special WITH fries for $ 5? Unbelievable. You could eat huge here for $ 10. We came in with the lunch rush, but our server greeted us pretty much immediately and was super attentive. Our drinks stayed refilled, and whenever a table opened up the bartender jumped out and cleared it. They weren’t striking up a conversation, but they were quick and efficient. Notes: Smoking is allowed inside(minus one star for this). This is a paper plate type place and you’ll have to ask for utensils. The food seems to come out as it’s ready so be ready if some entrees come out before others.

Too much cig smoke, the prices are too cheap, the wings are too good, the one dollar burger is too good(for a dollar). The bathrooms are trashy. The college kids are crazy. BUT the place is what I want from a cheap dive. I’m new to St. Charles and sometimes you just want cheap food and beer. I recommend this place in the right mood and mind state.

Cheap Cheep Yum Yum. Dirt Cheep Food, and Beer. Found this place by just parking on Main Street and walking to see what our options were. For some reason the hole in the wall look(total dive bar) and the number of folks eating there made it very enticing. Also, the sign on the street with the 99 cent brats, and burgers helped as well. Inside, it’s small, kind of smokey, but not too bad, and they have a couple of TV’s. Nothing too special, a total watering hole with food to boot. Laid back bunch of folks who were pretty friendly. Food. Yes, it was cheap. Was it good? Yes. For the money? Hell yes. Whats really awesome, and maybe a little overblown on my part, was their nachos. The ballpark nachos are chips, that processed cheese like at Busch, and a bunch of jalapenos. Its simple, but satisfying. I also got a brat, and it was very good. They get you on the toppings, so if you order a 99 cent brat and add kraut/relish its 2.00. 2.00 for a loaded brat is still awesome. 1 drink minimum since there food is so cheap, and that drink can be soda, beer, etc. When walking down Main Street take those blinders off because you might just miss something great looking for«mainstream good».

I have been to Lloyd and Harry’s a few times and do not have anything bad to say about the place. The wait staff is always nice and the food is cheep. The quality of the food is nothing special but not bad either. The deck in the back is awesome during spring and fall but I find it too hot a lot during the summer. This is definitely the place to go if you are looking for some good cheep fun down on Main Street.

Two dollar drafts and 99 cent burgers — need I say more? OK, I will: nice waitstaff, great patio, cozy indoors, great television, good cheap food, and live music. A burger, fries, and a beer are less than five bucks. I usually go around dinner time, and I’ve seen couples, coworkers, friends — basically all kinds of people hanging out here. It’s a great place to watch sports or take your mom — well, if your mom is cool. Lloyd & Harry’s has a great patio that looks out on the Missouri River, and they even have a TV out there so you won’t miss a game!

We went here for the first time yesterday on a Saturday afternoon around 3:00 to get lunch. I think this place would be fine if you only want to drink & never get waited on. We sat at a table & the waitress came out to take our drink order. We got a diet coke with lemon & a diet coke. A different waitress brought the sodas minus the lemon.(That was just the beginning of terrible service). We ordered buffalo chicken strips & some peel & eat shrimp for appetizers. She said she would be back to take our order. A guy brought out our shrimp & buffalo chicken, and refilled our drinks. We didn’t get any kind of silver ware. So we ate the chicken(which actually was very good) with our fingers. I thought maybe they didn’t have silverware but they serve salads. Finally 10 minutes after we ate the appetizers the waitress came over & asked how things were. REALLY?! We would like to order food, but with the service we had received so far I just asked for our check. I am not sure if we were new so they didnt want to wait on us(she had come to the table next to us several times while we waited to place our food order) or if she was just lazy. I am giving one star stictly because of the guy who worked there, he was nice & seemed competent & the buffalo chicken being good. Would not recommend for dining, only if you want to go to the bar & order drinks.

This was one of the spots our«party bus» took us to. At first when walking towards the bar, it looked like we were going in to someone’s backyard where we had to sneak in to get to a party. I realized this was the back area. But the mystery was fun. They do have a front door that leads to a nice well lit empty street. It’s definitely a place to come to when you want something laid back and chill. Live bands entertain you and if you can belch out a song or play an instrument they might even let you perform. My cousin gave a good performance — very unexpected. I had fun, and would go there again even if it’s not with anyone.

Fun late night hangout. The bartender served us up some tasty shots. They had some musicians providing some entertainment, but they are very welcoming of other musicians coming up to showcase their talents.
