Bout Time Pub and Grub

I have no idea why I come back. Probably because it’s one of the few bars in st George and it’s close to home. Service is so bad. Lazy servers cold, overpriced food.
Leanna the server is pretty and seems to be the only one on staff with her shit together.
Come here if you’re desperate, or not in a hurry.

A very moderate chain, but it branches out of state, so on that list it goes. I’ve been meaning to get to one of these for a while but let’s be real. A good sports pub should mean lots of greasy fried food and plenty of booze. This one hits both of those notes extremely well. Lots of sports-​related stuff on the wall and ample seating. This is also out of the way enough so that parking isn’t a chore. Staff does a really decent job… pretty impressed by that.
Food here is solid, but not much more. I like the idea of the bacon wrapped olives and those were pretty good, but not really great. Best thing was the stein of Evolution Amber on tap, but that’s a pretty high mark. I also had the skewers and for straying from the righteous path of sports pub grease, I paid by getting a very so-​so entrée. Fries, however, were done very well when crispy and were not worth eating otherwise. Likewise most of the sauces the skewers came with.
Of note, this place appears to do Monte Cristos correctly, so I definitely will be returning to one of those, at some point, to try that out. Overall, good but not great experience and about the best for this type of setting you’re going to find in the city.

Not impressed!!! The service was horrible! The waitress acted irritated to even take our order then once she dropped the beers and an appetizer off at our table, we never saw her again. We had planned to stay for several hours drinking and eating and watching football. However we had to go find her for our tab. We then drove over to Buffalo Wild Wings and spent the afternoon and all our money with them. We will not be back.

I like the about time next to the maverick center west valley Utah. So thought we would try the one in St. George. We walked in sat down sat for about 10 to 15 minutes no one greeted us no one said hello. The waitstaff kept walking by not a knowledging us. So we got up and took our business elsewhere.

I love coming here with my family to eat, watch sports, hang out, play pool, I’ve never waited for a table service drinks etc. can somebody say SHRIMP TACOS!!! Way fun place love the atmosphere. Love how even when the servers are busy someone else brings me what I need instead of «let me get your server» which is what most places around town seem to do. Thanks guys for always treating my family so great! You definitely earned this review. BTW ask for Heidi!!!

Terrible service here, consistently! Never been pleased with the service given and I’ve been at least 5 times. One time came in a group of 5 didn’t get service for 15 minutes and just left. I would say I’ve never received my drink within 15 minutes of sitting down. They really need to step up their game. 2 stars because the beer and food is pretty good.

My husband and I where skeptical to come in since this place seem to have mixed reviews. We have a two year old, so we sat outside where we were greeted and served right away. The server Heidi was very nice and brought our son a fun game to play with and recommended some appetizers which were very good. She was very helpful in choosing different beers and the restaurant had a good selection. The prices where very reasonable. We will be back.

Came to watch the UFC fight, great tv screens, good location, no cover charge, plenty of seats and parking… And it’s impossible to mess up bottled beer. That’s why the two stars.
I get it, busy night. Servers get busy. Ours had a good attitude and was nice. Quick to refill drinks.
However … Forget about the menu if you have any kind of allergy or need to ask for substitutions. That beginning said, decent menu with a good selection of bar food.
The food sucks though. Horrible. Nearly not edible. In fact, my husband couldn’t get through two slices of pizza. Do you know how hard it is to have that bad of pizza? It’s pizza?!
I have to order gluten free and there is no menu option for that. The waitress isn’t savvy to the way the food is prepared and everything I ordered came out 100% incorrect. To be fair, I asked for several substitutions but in the end still got glutened and had hives and got sick.
Bottom line… Stick to bottled beer and this place is ok to watch sports.

I think the place got its name because that’s what patrons say when they finally get service. Had to ask the cook for a glass of water, server was MIA. Food was decent, the draft beer is inexpensive.. if you can get someone to get you a glass!

Terrible service, someone needs to train wait staff. This the second time I’ve been in six months. Both times food was unacceptable and I had to send it back. Both times the standard excuse wAs to blame the kitchen. I was given managers discounts both times. Should be simple to run a pub/​grub with their uncomplicated menu, but even the guacamole had a funky taste to it. Bout time they hire someone who knows how to run a restaurant and quit trying to get by with some pimply faced returned missionary who had previously been a assistant manager at Wendy’s.

Great place to grab a beer with friends. The food is decent. I recommend the French Dip Pizza or the Flat Iron steak. The service is where this place is seriously lacking. There are a very few servers that know what they are doing. The employee turn over is very high. I would quit going but it’s worth suffering the services for cheaper beer and food choices.

Have love my experience at bout time previously but tonight they were out of the jalapeño poppers for starters out of carbonation for our drinks. And then sent me smoked wings rather them crispy as I had ordered. That’s okay people make mistakes, but when the waitress told the cook the wings should be crispy not smoked he threw a fit and said then bring the whole damn plate back to me and she did and we had to wait for the new wings. Cooks name was Brian. Not a good experience.

Food was a alright. Service was average. Atmosphere was good for the name. Probably won’t try it again.

Just passing through. Great experience, clean, good food, great beer. Highly recommend to anyone passing through or the locals who haven’t tried it yet. My one complaint, the music was too loud for a Thursday night at 6:00.

We started with the garlic fries which are amazing. For my main course I had a Monte cristo sandwich with fried pickles on the side-​delicious! I loved the fun sports bar atmosphere without being super loud or obnoxious. Plus it’s open really late which is awesome especially if you want good food late at night. Would definitely recommend it, and come back.

The house tap beer is a honey ale and it was pretty good. And at 2.00 a pint they go down pretty easy. Too bad my fiancé got that and I got a weird tasting belvedere martini. I suspect it was absolute or even well vodka but thats probably what I get for not ordering a beer at a pub. We got the hat trick app which is shrimp, steak and chicken kabobs over fries. The meat was pretty good but the fries were DRIPPING in grease! And the sauces were weird. The teriyaki was grossly sweet and the «ranch» was odd. The cocktail and fry sauce was pretty good… but honestly can those be messed up? I just stuck with ketchup.
Wait staff was very nice and not too pushy or bothersome. I’d go back and try it again.

The pool table has lots of seating around the table so to hit the ball from one side of the table you have to ask people to watch out or move. Other then that it was its pretty sweet!

First time coming here & I gotta say ill be coming back, the drinks are good & reasonably priced. Our waitress was attentive even tho it was a packed house.

I was really excited to hear that St. George was getting a pub with a full bar. We went there tonight and the service was just okay, the waitress was not very helpful with the beer selection and was a little slow. We started with the queso dip as an appetizer. Store bought chips and Velveeta and Rol-​tel tomatoes and chilies… I was not impressed, at this point dinner was not looking good. Then we got our main courses. My husband ordered the French Dip with fries and I had the Monte Cristo with garlic fries. My Monte Cristo was out of sight! It was fresh, and crisp (if you do not know about this sandwich Google it!). The Garlic Fries were strong in a good way and was served with homemade pickles. My husbands French Dip was tender and the au ju was perfection.
They need to work on their customer service and ditch the appetizer I can make at home — otherwise this is a great place!
